Atmosphere used to be good. Not anymore. It looks ordinary even service also. They should add Spicy Chutneys as well. They are offering the same less spicy ones, which they are offering for the last 20years
This place has so much hype which does not worth at all.
We had South Indian thali and MLA pesarattu. Both were not good and they are not even matching their standards for the name of this restaurant. There were only four type of regular chutneys and the taste is also not good
My rating: Food: Ambience: Service:
So finally it's our first and last visit at this place.
Food was just bad, ordered tomato soup and Gobi Manchurian. Tomato soup tasted like it was made from one of those third-class quality tomato ketchup and Gobi manchurian was just bland. Price is quite high ~400 rupees for that bland tasting Manchurian on top of that they were kind of forcing us buy water bottle even though we asked normal tap water. Bottled water should be an option not a necessary thing. We couldn't bear the bland taste of Manchurian so we cancelled whatever we had ordered and left.
We took a tomato soup and gobi Manchurian in starters. Taste was not good. Plus it's over priced. Only 2 items costed 616 INR. Ambience is not great either. I dunno how they can charge so much for so bad food. We cancelled our main course too. And left the gobi as we were not satisfied with the taste. Honestly don't go. You can have healthy and tastier meals twice for the amount you pay here. On top that they provide only water bottles as drinking water which is charged 4 rs per bottle. They don't have drinking glasses and water jug. Such a huge waste of plastics generated everyday. Please use some sense and bring environmental friendly options. On requesting that we are trying to avoid plastics they gave water in paper cups. Not sure from where they got drinking water.
Good South Indian food. One of those few pure veg restaurants that still serve good food. Evenings can be crowded and service can take time. Parking is a pain out here at times.
Breakfast items are so tasty. I bet you will love the wide variety of items and their taste. Only problem I faced is, staff over there directly ask you about the tip: (. I feel it's clients choice whether to give or not.
Good food Taste. Quick service but for the people visiting from Mumbai or any other metro city not much impressive place as now many similar hotels are already available.
Its very popular hotel in Hyderabad, but hype a lot.
It's really good to see such a place which gives a lot of variety of chutney while eating food and hence the name. The variety of chutney also justifies the name. We ordered karam idli and it was super yumm. A good place to enjoy with family and friends. It also provides wide variety of food in the menu. The staff were kind and also they were polite.
You go here only for south Indian dishes. And I bet you will not get disappointed. The 70mm dosa is a delicacy. The chutneys served are awesome, especially the ginger one. Yummy. The hot sambhar served, acts as an appetiser and you will say, 'Bring it more'.
The prices to quantity/quality is not at all proportional. Ordered dal makhani but they served dal tadka thinking we wouldn't know the difference. Had to raise voice. Definitely not the chutneys of the 2000s. Word of advice Don't just concentrate on increasing the prices think of improving the quality too
Food is good always, upkeep of place is down. This is a Telugu state and south indian eatery and looks like most of the employees are from Bihar or UP or north indians pronouncing menu item names differently. Going to this particular chutneys made me feel i am in North Indian city.
Went in the morning. The chutneys were pretty bad. We went to hi-tech city chutneys later and the quality was much much better than this. Disappointed with Guntur idly and ghee karam dosa as well, lots of cost cutting.
This is a great stop for people who love south indian breakfast. They serve north south n other cuisines too but South Indian breakfast is always a best to go for at any point round the clock. Podi karam Idly n Sponge dosa are my favs here. I've visited chutneys at other places in the city too but this one has a great service n food. Overall just love to visit again.
I m regular visitor, dinner food is okay on crowd days just okay, but one thing definitely to be appreciated about this restaurant. On one Saturday it was crowded, and I left the place in hurry and forgot my mobile. The waiter and staff team kept it aside and Mr. Gajapathi Rao returned it back. Thanks for honest staff. Keep it up!
Taste is good as always. In a busy area so parking sometimes is an issue. Recently they stopped their meals options which is a bummer as I went there for that (wanted to give 4.5 stars here). Otherwise. One of the best south Indian food for North Indians to have. Must have actually. Service is always super fast and organized.
Visited Chutneys for lunch very late in the afternoon. Good ambience, they maintain the place neatly. Hand sanitizers everywhere. All the employees wear mask and face shield. Satisfied with the safety measures they take. Coming to the food, we ordered following items and would like to rate them on 5
Hot and Sour Soup - 5/5 Crispy Vegetables - 3/5 MLA Pesarattu - 5/5 Mango Utappam - 3/5
They served 5 varieties of chutneys and all were very tasty. Special mention for ginger chutney and groundnut chutney.
Overall, recommended place for breakfast items at any time of the day.
It's actually stale food that they served us. Have to change the food twice as it's completely spoiled. Instead of apologizing they behaved as if it is very much normal in Summers
This is not the first time that I order multiple breakfast items and I get 1 small pack of chutney for all the items combined. Even after specifically mentioning in the comment while ordering. How stupid is this on part of a reputed restaurant? 5 breakfast items just wasted.
We recently visited Chutneys Kukatpally brach at lunch hour and they are maintaining the place real good with all the necessary sanitization protocols in place. Below are the key points to note: Ambience - Good Sanitization - Good Menu options - poor. Menu options or varieties were reduced to 1/3rd Taste - Good
Chutneys had always been my 1st priority in terms of taste, quality and cleanliness. Yesterday our opinion changed, it is now one of the worst in our list. Quality - 0 they serve you left overs from other days, taste - 0. I am never going back again. My family suffered stomach cramps after eating there. Please avoid this place. By the way the hospitality is going to be rated in negative.
The food was good, especially the chutneys were awesome, honoring the name of the restaurant. However they don't have thali's. Everyone wore masks and gloves and served well.
Bang on the highway when you drive from Miyapur to Ameerpet, just after KPHB police station. An upscale restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Popular for south indian food. Variety of chutnies are served alongside main course. Seems to justify the name.
A banquet hall is there on the upper two floors. Valet parking available.
You will pay too much of cost for regular items. I understood that he is charging only for Chutneys. Taste and quality are similar to what you will get in regular outlets in a lesser cost
Too many issues. 1. Seating depth is too less to sit comfortably. Feels like sitting on the edge of the sofa. 2. At 2.00pm, the A/c was switched off or only half of them are running or was cut off at high temperature. 3. I have ordered 2 north Indian Thali with paratha for me and my wife. The waiter argues with me saying that I have ordered one with roti another with paratha. 4. First time in my life, I have seen paratha loaded with ghee. 5. Service was bad. Servers were not attentive. Busy running around.
I have been to most of the Chuttneys in the city and at least a hundred times (if not more). Bottom line. It's not a good experience at Chuttneys, Kukatpalli.
The food here is really great and they offer variety of chutneys and each taste is unique. Most of them have ghee in them so you feel a little heavy, so beware while ordering. Must try is babai hotel idli.
Best vegetarian food in Hyderabad. You should have idli with sambar here. All the tiffin or snack items are mouth watering. The chutney, powders, ghee combinations are too good. Best place to conduct functions from 50 to 300 persons. At the price of Rs. 325 it's very reasonable price with very good ambiance and good food.
Great place for a vegitarian snack or meal. Their idlies are famous, available throughout the day and there are varieties like butter idly or spiced idlies. Best of their breakfast items are MLA pesarat and Pongal There are also a variety of special dosas which are delicious and fulfilling like mix vegitable dosa and paneer tikka dosa They also serve south indian and north indian lunch and dinner Among north items their paneer butter masala, dal makni and stuff kulchas are great and must try
At chutneys had idli and peesaratu.it was excellent.idli were so soft that it melts in your mouth. Pesahratu was good.and on top of it variety of chutneys. Excellent food. Only thing I don't like is sambhar since it's sweet. They should have non sweet option as well.
Not for hanging out. Just go to this place with close frds or family who don't depend on expensive external factor to have fun. This is place for food. Food is brilliant. I had only dosa. The extensive chutney menu was really mouth watering
Have been only to the function hall, not to the restaurant. Food served is good. Parking is a big time problem here considering the other shopping opportunities available with this premise. The variety of options available for a quick bite are very good. This restaurant featured in the street food and Indian spices program by foreigners. Put your Taste buds to test:).
