He definitely doesn't know the difference between Occipital neuralgia and migraine.if u have migraine more the 15 days its a chronic migraine and medication don't work.as a doctor he should discuss treatment options for that perticular diagnosis but he don't which is sign of bad and worst doctor according to my experience.

Treatment options for chronic migraine;

1) Injections ; botox a injection and
occipital nerve block

2) neuromodulation.
