Haritha Hotel Somasila

Food and location was nice. Only the premium cottages are good. No wifi, no data connection is a major handicap there. There was some problem with the net connection on both the days of our halt.
Anyway, we liked the place, but for this issue.

Booking machanism is so poor and old style.
1. There is no booking facility available through online.
2. Booking is through WhatsApp and call, no proper picture of different type of rooms which sharing tarrif
3. No quick response through WhatsApp.
4. Ready to do the payment but payment link was not shared after multiple followups.
5. No facility for Credit Card payment link.

Worst experience

Very bad experience, no water in project, water is 2 Km away from resort, can't be called as Maldives of telangana by any stretch of imagination, services are very bad and employees are rude, not worth traveling all the way

The hotel was located in nice view of the hills and the rooms of the hotels was maintained in a hygienic way and the service of the hotel was nice and neat and if your visiting with a family it was a nice place to visit and there is a famous temple near to the hotel. If your visiting with a friend's it's a nice place to enjoy and there is a boating to take us to a small trip of visiting the river

Very bad response to the client.we are trying since long but no one responded as specially that guy Vijay is just giving reasons and not giving rates for the booking. Really wanted to come for the stay but now no ways.very very disappointed & also we will share this bad experience with others also so that they will also not get this type of pathetic response from managers.

I stayed in a premium cottage, Rooms were good. It will be good if they maintain the rooms more clean.

The river view is awesome with cool atmosphere but in weekends there is no rooms so we did only boating there The places looks like Maldives.

It was a horrible and most pathetic experience of our lives.
We have paid a hefty amount for booking of rooms, expecting a good experience, but the standard of rooms are far below standard than what have we paid for.
The standard and quality of food too was absolutely pathetic.
I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere for accommodation. It is a complete waste of money, and we are left feeling utterly disappointed and frustrated with the entire experience.

I love this place.river front.
But the best time to visit is August to December.
There are a lot of insects out the room (balcony) because of the open area. But then rooms are good with AC, small fridge and kettle, secured locker.

Rooms are vintage, means old not really vintage locks don't work properly doors don't close properly, the food service is at next level will take atleast 1hour for preparation

It's a really awesome resort with an adequate parking facility and pool. The restaurant is also available but the food quality is not soo good. It was a nice resort but still it can be maintained more in terms of cleanliness

Beautiful location. Resort is good, needs to buckle up their team to maintain cleanliness in the environment as well as the rooms.

Frequently no water in the bathroom and WC, need to call front desk and then they will switch on the pump, which takes 45 mins to fill. No hot water provision at bathrooms. No AC cooling and No WiFi at rooms.
Rooms have cob webs and bugs. Untrained Staff is working in the hotel. They don't make the beds if staying more than 1 night. We took the highest priced rooms and this is the situation.
Extremely poor service and maintenance. Please avoid staying. Zero stars.

Worst boking experience that I had.

As a biker from Hyderabad, we already visited this property on multiple occasions, but only for 4-5 hours or for Lunch. We were always informed that we had options like BBQ and other amenities that they can provide. However, while booking for 2 days stay for the whole biking group, the response was pathetic and service promised verbally was denied.

Please set expectations with the property before booking.
Will not advise this property to any Biking Group and folks travelling from a distance for overnight stay.

Really bad service. Frequent power cuts. Sometimes no water to bath. Staff there don't know how to open the room door and we had to wait an hour even after reaching on time. They take a lot of time to get food. The only thing which was really good was the location.

This resort is built in very nice location onthe banks of Krishna. Rooms r spacious. The resort is also very big and full of greenery, well planned. The swimming pool is an added attraction. But maintanence is poor. The bucket in wash room was of pathetic quality, there is no soap stand. We were not given water bottles and no cups in the room. If maintained properly this place is awesome

No professional at all. Privatised but no professionalism at all. Half of time they won’t pick up the call and if they do they will ask you to WhatsApp and then not reply to the same.

Good place with out any disturbance and a place to relax with family. Perfect get away place for couple.

Over priced rooms. We booked superior cottage for over 6k expecting rooms and services to be as good. Rooms OK, but not worth.

Service was equally poor. We had to change rooms thrice. The AC in the initial room allited was not working. The tech tried fixing it and asked to wait for 30 mins for the room to cool. Which did happen. Then the supervisor shifted to another room. The AC was not working there also. Another 30 - 40 mins wasted. Then we were alloted a third room where the AC was finally working. All the shifting wasted around 2 hrs.

Went for a boat ride, which was good came back but the door would not open. Called the supervisor who had to reset the RFID card to open the door. The mosquito repellent was over, had to call room service to refill At night the water was over in the washroom. Had to call the room service. The bed had insects, had to call room service again to get it changed. Overall, a very bad experience.

Was expecting a far better service at the price they are charging and after Mrugvani took over from Haritha.

Somashila

Krishna river back water point. 180 kilometres from Hyderabad. It is cool place with resorts.laithasomeshwara temple having with all jyotirlingas

I went to this hotel recently in dushera holidays and i loved it. The location is just to good and there is open space to play for kids, the only thing is that it is not well maintained and is pretty dirty, there are bugs everywhere and there is not a lot to do exept swim and go boating. I suggest that you bring any games or books or things to do in afternoon and night. I recommend you going there BUT be mindful of the bugs. I hope the condition devolps. And food is also very bery tasty.

Best place in telangana, this place is suitable for families and bachelors, good management and very clean area food also good

There is no online booking for this resort. Beware, the guy who is answering the phone is taking people for a ride by giving false information. Pathetic tourism!

Bad experience. The website doesn’t provide an option to book a room. Inspite of calling multiple times to book a room no1 responded properly nor helped us with the booking. The resort should have better front desk people.

Awesome place to spend the weekend. On the banks of Krishna river and surrounded by lush green hills, you'll love this place. The cottages are in fact on the river itself. Food is of good quality and taste. Suitable for children also. Frequent power cuts are normal here.

Nice place to enjoy with your family and friends. The rooms are built on the banks with a good view of the river and surrounding mountains. There is a pool to relax as well. Complimentary breakfast is available for all guests. There is a buffet for lunch and dinner should be ordered.

For non vegetarian it's a delight to stay here. But vegetarian food is worst and is not worthy of Rs5000

View was good but maintenance was not all good and price for 5 members they charged RS. 6000 with breakfast not worthy

Visited the Hotel on 23rd Dec, location is beautiful, but when Telangana govt Haritha has given it to Private Mrugavani resort.
They started introducing their own rules.

Expensive rooms, Expensive tasteless pathetic food. On top of it, they started putting a new rule, no outside food allowed into your room.
It will be great disappointment if anyone wants decent food.

Lot of labour roaming around the rooms.
Also remember, for such a pathetic food, restaurant team will try to put some extra dish bill, better check the bill during payment.

Overall day robbing by Private hotel, staff is rude and definitely they got a back up of govt ministers, as openly they are looting. Local MRO not allowing or giving permission to open a restaurant outside, so you will be stuck with this pathetic hotel.

Better spend money on Egalapenta.

I went after seeing earlier reviews while Haritha was running, but situation changed now, you will burn your cash.

Outside boat ride of govt needs 20 ppl minimum, otherwise shell out 1000 rupees per 15 minutes.

Even after all this, if someone wants to be there, plan 1 day only. That's more than enough for such a Shi hotel.
Especially some frustrated manager Sirish is too rude and not fit for the job. He don't want to be in such remote place, he is showing frustration on people.

I wish Omicron should teach them lesson and they will learn what is customer service in their free time.

I had stayed here Previously while the government haritha tourism maintance, the prices was reasonable for a/c rooms around 2000-2500. Now it was handed over to private authority they increased price around 4000/- and not providing online booking only offline booking is available as now. Some times you can get a 5star hotel room for that price if your reason is only for staying one night. You can enjoy the view but the cost of hotel room is too high for this place.

An Eco-Retreat on the banks of River Krishna. Come here to enjoy beauty and serenity in the lap of nature. We stayed in well-appointed cottages, facing the river. The resort also has a good restaurant

Mrugavani Eco resort (Formerly TSTDC Haritha Hotel), Somasila - The location of this resort is outstanding. It is built on the outcrop tongue like land mass extending into the reservoir, with waters on both sides. Though the rooms are built facing the water on the south, while the north side water/riverside is not visible from the ground level. This is the cottages ranging from 101 to 110. Each cottage has 2 portions forming 2 separate room arrangements (like 101,102 are the partitions of the same cottage). We found even numbers having better view as the east side is open and has a sit out, which means you can see the expanse of water coupled with the rising sun. The rooms have large windows with the bed facing the water. It is amazing to lie on the bed with the window curtains drawn. Take a look at the pictures to understand this. The resort has a pool which seems newly built, and well maintained. Though, weekend seems like a wrong time to be here owing to the crowd. The best time is dec-feb and weekdays. The cottage room was 3500+18% tax per day for us, including breakfast. The restaurant "The Wharf" is acceptable. The non-veg dishes, as I hear, are quite tasty. The veg stuff is well made, but leaves a lot to be desired in terms of taste. The breakfast spread is the usual idling, wada, sambar, puri Sabzi, eggs, fruits, juice, tea coffee. The restaurant has buffet in lunch and dinner as well, costing 500/- for adults and 350/- for child, and generally has 2 non-veg curries, 2 veg curries, rice, roti, fal, salad, sweet dish etc. However, the approach road to the resort is filled with small hotels, where you can get anything you ask for, freshly made. We took rotis, chicken, fish from these places and it was good taste. The service staff at restaurant is very well behaved and decent. They understand hindi, with quite a large part of the staff being Bengalis. The only issue I see with the restaurant is, you need to clear the bill right away, instead of adding to the room bill. The cleaning staff are ok, for room maintenance. The reception is quite receptive and solves any issues or attends to your needs quickly.

The resort does not have anything to keep you engaged. This is the kind of place, you come to just relax. There are a few areas you could drive to - 1 to 2hrs distance. You could hire a boat to do river cruising or go to Sangameshwar temple. The TSTDC boat charges 50/- per head for a 15 min trip, while the private operators charge 800/- for 30 mins on the river, or 2000/- for a trip to Sangameshwar Shiv Mandir. The river boat trip is a must do, especially in the mornings. There is also a Malleshwaram view point about 20 mins away, but the road goes through a village just before reaching the place where you need to park. We got blocked at the village as a tractor was unloading stones! This view point involves trekking. The hotel staff can give some info on where to drive around, mostly temples. Jatprole and another town has temples and forts (run down, destroyed mostly) if you are upto it but in general, 1 day or at the moat 2 days all you would enjoy being here, unless you want to just relax.

The place is nothing more than 3 stars for me as - in general hotel service is not prompt (I had to follow up for 4 hours before they ended up sending the daily 2 bottles complementary water), the food is overpriced, the room itself is overpriced compared to the resources in the resort), they stop you when bringing in food items from the shops outside etc.

Haritha Hotel is now “**Riverfront Mrughavani Resort”** with a “Wharf Restaurant”. It is approximately 160kms away from Hyderabad International Airport. Best way to get there is Airport-Kadthal-Amangal-Kalwakurthy-NagarKurnool-Vanapatla-Adirala-Kollapur-Somasila. The road till Nagarkurnool can be reached either from Kalwakurthy/ Jadcherla/ Achampet which is good. However from Nagarkurnool the road isn’t that good and needs cautious driving due to bad roads and sudden potholes. Advisable to reach during day time as roads become narrow due to passage passing through foot of Amrabad Tiger Reserve.

It was a sudden find but an interesting one. This place is good in a lot of ways. You can book anyone of the 17 rooms with a view that’s available. 8 in construction. The wharf is the restaurant which serves you food and you can swim in the pool … and enjoy a cold beer in the courtyard with your friend while watching the sun set. Enjoy life the way it is served!

Decent place to stay. But the prices are way too costly. Though it's built by govt, it is maintained by private people. So don't expect nominal pricing from them. Other than that, everything was decent

Staying here was a nightmare.especially inside the room.full of spiders, we even got scorpion in our room.outside the resort the view is very beautiful as krishna river is right in front of you.there are small shops who cook ur requested lunch and dinner for you.which taste good.full of greenery and good place to shot birds with ur camera.

Haritha hotel maintenance is poor. We checked in room and electrical switch board is hanging which is dangerous.

Haritha Hotel renovated and now renamed as "Mrugavani River front" which is owned and maintained by private authority.
Even though it's privatised there is no big difference in customer service. Tried Breakfast here. When I want to order something the staff keep on forcing to opt for other Items. Finally ordered Dosa and Poori. The food is just "Yaaak". Dosa with full of Salt and poori is very small in size. Even road side tiffin centre offers best food. And food is over priced. As there is no outside food / nearby hotels they simply en-cashing the situation. Outside ambiance is good with well maintained garden and parking. There is a Dummy watchman infront of gate who is always chit-chating with tourists. He doesn't care who is entering the hotel.
Outside seating area available here but they are not cleaned it properly. If we want to sit there we need to clean by ourselves.

First of all, Somasila is an AMAZING place! There are a lot of things to do for people who want an escape from Hyderabad within a few hours. The beauty of the place is the rural experience it gives.

The resort is a tidy place which lies along the backwaters of a pleasant river.

About the resort:

- Food: EXCELLENT food, with unlimited breakfast (which had a lot of varities)
Resort Facilities:
- Swimming pool
- River view cottages and villas
- Boating (Government and Private; but government service is suggested as it is safe, provides life-jackets, and reasonable)
- Multicuisine restaurant with tasty food.

Things and experiences I suggest (To people and hotel authorities)

1. Night Camping facility
2. Camp fire and barbeque food (as the restaurant serves GREAT food)
3. Rural experiences (to boost rural tourism)
- Visit a nearby farm
- take a bullock cart ride
- small trek along the hill farming sites
- visit the other side of the island via boat and experience the life there
- vegetable shopping directly from the farm source (especially for people who are staying for a day)

Things that were not pleasant and need immediate attention:

- Water problem
- The presence of dead insects at the bottom of the window pane
- The place still has lot of construction work and the corridors were not so clean
- The switch boards were loose and hanging and it's so dangerous
- On the top floor you will find high window which doesn't make sense. The windows could be constructed low to give better view of the river.

Haritha now change into Riverfront by mrugavani which is really gud for family's to come stay peace fully and enjoy the water flow at resort. We could see water touches early morng as u get up beautiful location in somasila mountain will say hello in the morng. Everyone must visit place compulsary. Mrugavani starting food service and swimming pool, lot of adventure games and boating collaboration with Telangana tourisum makes family can enjoy a lot with every glimsum of natur movement.

Very bad and poor quality of hotel. Room service is very poor. We have ordered hot water and after 2 hours is came and the quality of food was just like when i ate I started feeling vomiting. Although when we call the room service it takes a lot of times to come and many times they didn't receive the phone.
Worst hotel ever.

Cleanliness was poor, most of the time reception does not take calls, I must have walked to reception for multiple times. We reached resort almost at 2: 30pm. After checked in we went for lunch to the restaurant. By then it was 3: 00pm. The restaurant staff named Ranjeet was surprised to found very rude and denied us food, and asked to go and search food outside. With two small kids along with my wife I refused and raised it to reception and asked for refund and wanted to checkout. They should have not checked me in if they can’t provide food in such remote area or there was no prior information was give at the time of booking. Manager managed the situation and we got food finally after at 4: 30. We booked non AC room as that available only at the time of booking. Weather was hot room was boiling and fan was not sufficient to make our stay comfortable. Bathroom was stinky. Shower door was broken. Mosquito net was cracked, no hanger in wardrobe. TV was not working. Only one light outside was working raised and complained multiple times no one heard. Terrible experience. Please do not travel here. I was spent more than 5000/- with food for just one night and experience was terrible, and five star hotel in Hyderabad would have costed lesser with better experience.
