I loved this place alot but now the quantity and quality of madi is changed we ordered full but it was like half and mutton was also not cooked properly.hope it comes back to its original value of Mandi.
It was a pathetic experience. Ordered Afghani Dum ka chicken & Afghani Naan and the shockingly it was a stale food, even Afghani naan they provided was not fresh to which staff agreed. I had a good experience at this place back in 2016-17 but now everything has changed.
Worst experience. Extremely expensive, no quality, bogus service, bogus ambience, lazy waiters. Those who think of visiting this place beleiving you will eat something new - dont. Its a waste of money. Tourists or any new people in Hyderabad- DO NOT GO. I ordered marag, sheekh kabab, rana josh - all items had bone, not even boneless & no taste, cold food, mood spoiled.
On the day of Inauguration I was here and it was a new taste, a great experience and today there is a difference in taste and quality, the owner was so receptive that he called in the chefs and made them understand what I meant with taste of Afghani Raan Pulao and Nalli Barra Kebab going for a toss, the chefs and the owner assured there shall be a change in taste and food will be properly cooked by my next visit which is evening today.
Best dishes and best tastes food you must book before you may enter cause it's a very busy restaurant and undeniable famous resto in the area but best in every way cause of faculties and staff members.
Mutton Rosh was absolutely delicious. It will have a solid mutton piece, potato, tomato and olive oil. There is no gravy as such to see. But one can have naan with this.
Afghaan naan is must try. But should be consumed when hot. Once it's cold it will be more chewy.
I might have gave 5 star, but end up with 4 because they have introduced indian options like kulcha, naan n others. Tried Masala Kulcha, I will never order that again. I ordered 2, but can consume only 1.
Management: please improve indian varieties if not please remove from menu as earlier.
Thank you.
***Edit Sep-2021: Afghan kabab platter is delicious. But unlike previous experience, Dum ka chicken is a no-no. Mutton Rosh is good, but not to the level it used to be.
Visited Kabul Darbar near Yousuf Tekdi for dinner on a weekend.bad choice as it was crowded and the simple order was pretty delayed and no one wants to acknowledge covid. The food was good which is the only reason for the 3 stars, the nalli barra kebab was the best I had and it was cooked to perfection. The sheekh kebab we ordered wasn't great as it was cooked in the bhatti at a high temperature the outside was perfectly charred but it was still chewy and undercooked on the inside which is typically what you get when you have crowds and need to get the dishes out fast. The Afghani jumbo Naan and mutton kalimirch were again cooked to perfection. Only if they had cleaned the tables properly and had proper waiting space it would have been so much better.
I think the hotel owner have share in collections of beggars outside, these people follow you more than one time even after giving them. Very annoying thing around this hotel, Miskeen people they don’t even follow the distancing norms either. Horrible
I have ordered a full lamb mandi for iftar party (6 pm delevery time) price Rs 9000/- on 5th May 2021. Quality and quantity of lamb was good but to my dismay the Mandi rice given to me was cooked may be at 12 or 1 PM afternoon. Rice was not even warm and it was broken also and moreover tomato chatney was smelly and stale and we threw it. (Everyone in the party disliked the way they have served the rice).
Owner was present there while packing my order, atleast it is his duty not to provide a rice that was cooked atleast 6 hours before when a order of that size is given. Beware customers so that this doesn't happen to you if giving big amount orders as owners are careless while handling good and valuable customers. This is a very sincere and honest review.
One of the superb place for dinner, little bit waiter are slow as compared to other restaurants, but if I am talking about food quality it is awesome I want to visit again in this restaurant.but my overall rating is good because this place is near by main road everyone can access very easily and if I am talking about the cleaning it was superb experience.
I must say it was really nice. The staff served us really well. Warm reception. My friends and I had a dinner together. A perfect place and a perfect way to end the semester. Looking forward to come more and more.
This Place Attracts a Lot Of Crowd With Its Special Menu. They Serve Zaffrani Tea In Mud Cups. Their Shawarma Is Lip-Smacking And Spicy. They Have a Variety Of Fruit Salad And Juices.a Must Try Place For Shawarma Lovers.
Mandi rice was good but the mutton was horrible as hell just the fat with less mutton and the mutton was very hard.and you giys should teach your Waiters not to stare at the customers while they are eating.
Mutton Marag was awesome but Kabsa was not good. It was like Tomato Rice and the Meat was not at all good. It was not tender we left the two chunks of Mutton because we couldn't eat.
Have visited here couple of times, mandi is as same as khichdi and at billing they are not aware of all the payment processes although they integrated multiple online online vendors like dineout and others
I ate mandi Biryani here but it's very very wrost. I never had such type of mandi. We don't find even single dry fruits, fried onions and cashew. The rice looks so hard finally I didn't even ready to give one star but my review is not accepting with out giving a single
The place to go if you are looking for Afghani dishes. Loved all the dishes thorougly, especially Jumbo Naan with Nalli Nihari. Must GO place for all non-veg hyderabadi food lovers. Would recommend this for all.
Kabul darbar Tolichowki. Excellent place to visit at least once. Went many times lost the count. Expensive but worth trying once. Mutton Rosh with Afghani Naan is my all time favourite. This dish comes with 2-mutton piece, 2- potates, 1- Tomato, 1- Green chilli. All of this dipped in Olive oil. Always ask for extra Olive oil and 1additional Potato if it is less than 2 or small one. This how I have it.crush the potates & tomato in Olive oil which was already in you dish. Then pour the extra oil you have asked on mutton and crushed potatoes & Now break piece from Afghani Naan. 1st layer crushed potatoes, 2nd mutton, 3rd crushed tomatoes and have it. I felt the softness of potatoes, the juicyness of mutton with tomatoes and crispy Naan, all this dip in Olive oil. Allah hu Akber. I will never forget it. I started having this dish when it was at rs200 and now it's almost above rs350. You may also try chapli kabab, Afghani platter but I didn't like the taste. May Try Afghani biryani but not recommend as it will be sweet. Waiter are always confused, so don't expect much in customer service.
The best served multi cuisine variety of Afghani and Biryani at Kabul Darbar. The restaurant is a casual. Good place to visit with family and friends. Good seating arrangements. Staff were very helpful and quickly responded to our requests. Truly Durbar They have 2 outlets one at lakdi ka pul and another at toli chowki. Lakdi ka pul outlet does not have parking. Toli chowki outlet has parking so that's a good plus. Kabuli Roti is a must eat dish over here. All the other dishes are totally different from the regular Indian cuisine. Very delicious afghani dishes and reasonable prices. It has nice ambiance and table and carpet seating. The bathroom has wet and dirty only 4 stars because of that. The place looks a bit dingy if you are going with your family. The setting is pretty much Arabian and you can choose to sit on the floor on carpets and eat in true arabian style.
These stupid people take orders and confirm them on swiggy, when they don't have dish available at there restaurant. Then they call and ask you to buy an alternative of shaaji chicken. Can anybody explain me y should I have something alternative if I had ordered a shaaji chicken
This place is good, if you wanna try Afghani food, the place is okay, but if you are planning with your girlfriend or women then remember this place does not have a good ambience.if you are a spice lover then you should never try this.the food is low to mid spice and the curries are mostly sweet. This place has a decent menu and pocket friendly items with a very good taste along with quantity.
Cons: no proper parking area, if you have a car. Women might not feel comfortable in this place
KABUL DARBAR. TOLICHOWKI.the name has it all. One stop destination for the authentic Afghani and Arabic food.which are undoubtedly best in HYDERABAD.with lip smacking delicacies.with healthy food tossed in olive oil, dry fruits and spices.making it a must try for everyone out there.loved the ambience with never tasted before desserts and creamy yet spicy dishes from the afghani chefs in the house. I specially loved the kabuli pulao, marag, nalli nahari and umm ali.yes i could not resist and tried many dishes from this food joint till now as it is very different from the normal cuisine which we get everywhere.u vl get the real feel of afghani culture with friendly staff, food taste and presentation.the ultimate place for afghani cuisine.
Good food and service. We had a family visit to this place on our relatives recommendation. The recommendation of their kabuli pulav was right to the target, served with rajma curry and the lamb just cooked to perfection, this dish is a must try. Disappointment came in their curry department. The grilled and charcoal items were great and their starters good too. A bit on the expensive side.
Ambience is good, charcoal items tastes good. Mandi doesnt tastes as Mandi i had in Gulf, however it tastes good and light on your stomach. Service is good as well
Very worst experience at Kabul Darbar, I have ordered a platter which is priced as Rs. 1800/- but the quantity they serve is like am paying Rs. 300, there were 6 items and each item quantity was so less, I thought may b the taste will blow my mind, but the fish was like overcooked and chicken was like raw, they served me mutton choppan kebab but there was less kabab and more bones, the quality of mutton seemed to b very bad, and then I ordered a curry, afghani kadai, only gravy was there with small hair like chicken present in it, when I complained about this, the staff, manager said me we cannot do anything, as this order come from kitchen, we only serve and take order and bills. I paid Rs 3100 total bill, but it was like we r still hungry, very bad experience, I will never ever visit this restaurant again, and I urge people you all are smart don't go nd waste ur hard earned money in this restaurant, after reading review.
I recommend to visit the restaurant with your family and loved one's, experience a total good taste of food. I had matka chicken and mutton mandi loved it.
Great food and prompt service. Well maintainted clean place. People who love unhygienic spicy street food would never justify the lower ratings given to such a good restaurant. But the management must ignore such unjustified reviews and continue to provide such lovely experience. Will definately pay a visit again soon.
