Kamat Hotel

Ambience is same as 15 years ago. Food was tasty, the Thali is still the same as Easter years.

It's an old South Indian pure veg restaurant. They have 3 branches in Hyderabad city. Highly recommended for their South Indian thali.
I go there to eat veg biryani but they don't have veg dum biryani on their menu but they have vegetable biryani. The quantity is sufficient for 2 people.
The restaurant looks too old. They have 2 sections AC and NON AC. The restaurant is on the first floor. If you go there for the first time directly go to the first floor, it looks closed from the ground floor. The restaurant is reasonable.
If you want pure veg food in Hyderabad go to any of the kamat hotels.

And this Kamath has very high cost and average taste

I am really disappointed with food and service. Order sambar Idly and vada where sambar is not enough hot even after mentioning while ordering it. Bisibella Bath ordered the name besi means hot in kannada, but they served cold one, and after asking about it, their response is not good. Ordered ravva dosa, which is another disappointment where it's thick instead of thin and crispy. My family members couldn't enjoy the food.

The food is excellent. I used to eat hear since 1999. Really I love this place. The filter coffee is excellent. The taste of the filter coffee never changed since 1999. I love the filter coffee.

Food is good as always, but the serving time is more, they don't concentrate on ambience, they just look at their job is done or not

Had a worst experience at the hotel. We ordered Manchuria and unfortunately got a plastic material in Manchuria which is of same colour and when I asked the manager he was started arguing with me that you have seen it ryt and you didn't eat it. He was not even saying sorry!
Just wanted there as got to know it's a famous and too old hotel but was depressed!
I don't suggest any one to Visit!

This hotel was never known for its service.but this has gotten worse with the managers shouting instructions to the staff and reprimanding them, making the atmosphere unpleasant. And sadly the quality of food also has taken a beating. We has masala and Rava Dosas, both which were smelling of oil and tasteless. But the sambar was good. The BisiBele Bhath was also just sambar rice with smelly oily boondi sprinkled profusely on top of it. An experience to remember for the wrong reasons.

Taste is good. The only issue is they take 15 to 20 mins to serve food (for only few dishes). Easy to locate and furniture was comfortable.

Best restaurant for vegetarian food lovers. You get South Indian style tasty food here.
Pongal served in the early hours is very tasty

One of the best in Hyderabad for vegetarians. Rush hours in afternoon and evening dinner time. Absolutely no parking place. Have to park on main road

This restaurant happens to be my most favorite restaurant in Secunderabad when it comes to South Indian food. There is rarely a moment maybe never when Kamat disappointed me. When ever I'm in town, I make sure that I come here and have a masala dosa. The sambar and chutney that comes with it is unparalleled. Also I suggest eating a cup of Basundi for dessert and/or filter coffee. All this talk of this amazing restaurant is making my stomach rumble, even after dinner. Take a bow Kamat Hotel.

Location of restaurant is nice. Taste is good for which you will need to a bit premium price.but hospitality is not at par with the premium price and brand name.

Hospitality was good, manager was generous enough to allow to wait for long till bus arrives, but pathetic dull out of energy place, no bright interiors made me feel sick as I waited there for an hour.

Though this place has good reputation, I didnt like the food much. For the meals we ordered, i dont think its worth the money we spend. Rs. 200 for meals is high for what will be served. Cannot comment on other food items served or available as i didnt try.

This is very nice hotel with peace atmosphere and so nice healthy veg food uices, & drinks served by our order and service is so good

Not excepting credit/debit card for bill payment below Rs 300/-. Very adamant on their self made policies. Very BAD attitude.
