L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) - Shirin, Etian & Tara Brown Eye Centre, Kismatpur

The service staff is extremely disappointing, particularly the receptionist/helpdesk. Despite making more than 20 calls, they never answer the phone. Their service is worse than what one would expect from a government office.

Actually this is for the ones who are giving low ratings, firstly LVP is a premier Indian elite training & research institution which runs on grants, donations, training courses. LVP treats many very rare eye issues which any other eye hospital will never try. I came here with my relative who is obsessed with LVP for the past 20 years, eye check-up for 2 hrs in nothing for him, but I'm spending time in the beautiful landscape gardens listening to music. If you are an LVP patriot keep loving it, and if you have never been to LVP n hate long waiting hours try the LVP alumni big names in Hyderabad. Have a great vision.

Arrrey what is this no communication at all no one is answering the call, I called 4 times call is getting disconnected it is emergency to speak with someone in hospital

Pathetic experience at Kismatpur branch. We had an appointment scheduled at 9: 35 AM (general checkup for my 2 yr old) & we were called at 11.15 AM for basic checks. Post that, they took 3.5 hrs to call for doctor checkup.

One should have some common sense when they are dealing with kids.

I understand that there will be certain amount of wait time but 5 hrs.is like too much.
I don't understand, why are appointments in place!

As part of work, I visit a lot of hospitals. I came to LVP after a lot of treatments for my eye. I have never seen such a clean, well equipped & trained staff team. You seldom find one such good institutes in a region. I am humbled by their sincere efforts to help and I walked out knowing I had the right Diagnosis & medicines. Thank you guys. Koodos!

My mother got operated and she needs to get her stitches removed, they gave appointment at 3. P M, before the day of appointment they said doctor is not available and next day they called and asked to come and the day we started they again called and said u should reach early or else doctor will leave and we have to come from srikakulam

It was horrible to get appointments. Nobody picks up the phone. And the response in mail is contradictory and late. There is no centralized ac and it is horrifying to wait in the room in summer. There is no proper canteen. There is only one meal served at roof top. It is inhuman to provide paid meal in summer on roof top to patients who are mostly aged. There is no meal for diabetes patients. Only chapati is not served

Pathetic staff. Long waiting, much beyond the appointment time. Staff has no clue of what they are doing.

It's established in 1987, L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI), a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Prevention of Blindness, is a comprehensive eye health facility. The Institute has ten active arms to its areas of operations: Clinical Services, Education, Research, Vision Rehabilitation, Rural and Community Eye Health, Eye Banking, Advocacy and Policy Planning, Capacity Building, Innovation and Product Development. LVPEI is managed by two not-for-profit entities - Hyderabad Eye Institute (HEI) and Hyderabad Eye Research Foundation (HERF).

Here very tough to get the early appointments, if you are looking urgently so just drop email to them on their appointment e-mail, they will surely help you in this regard.

Now they have multiple branches in Hyderabad it self, i am giving the feedback for the Kismatpur one, this is newly constructed and if you are not appointment so you must try here.

They have limited parking because they are giving the appointments as per the infrastructure and which is good.

I recently visited L V Prasad Eye Hospital for a routine eye checkup and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with the level of care and treatment I received. The hospital has a very professional and courteous staff, who made me feel comfortable throughout my visit.

What I found particularly impressive was the affordable cost of the treatment, which was of the highest quality. The hospital uses state-of-the-art equipment and the doctors are highly experienced and knowledgeable.

One of the premier eye care institutes in India. It is a non profit, non governmental institution. Very good treatment for eye issues and the whole hospital infrastructure is also very good. Located in a calm area of Hyderabad.

We visited this branch of LV Prasad hospital to consult Dr Ritesh narula garu as we got appointment there and successfullycompleted surgery also. Maintenance of hospital, consultation proces and approach of Doctor, staff is very nice. Councilor Surendra Counciling proces, submissive approach, suggestions are good.campus is very nice with greenery.

Demerits

Its far from station almost 15-20 km.

No local train availabilty on this route, you can take bus fascility which is not frequent and took half an hour.

Most of people mentined long waiting as an issue but I think its a part of process. In my case it was.

We recently visited this branch of LV Prasad hospital to consult Dr. Milind Nair as we got appointment there. We were afraid to visit this branch after reading the reviews if we shall wait for hours or so but we were lucky enough to complete the whole consultation process within an hour. Hospital campus is very nice and greeny, we found this branch more comfortable than the main branch.

Worst hospital ever i have visited in my life
Pls go only if u can stay there for an entire day. TERRIBLE. I have visited this place from a very far city in the north and couldn't reach on time for my return train because of them.

May be LV prasad is one of the best but this branch is a strict no no. It took me 4 hrs to have a general checkup that too with the least crowd. Not sure about the queue of patients.

Not at all responsible. Doctors, attenders don’t know how to behave with elderly patients. They are doctors and suppose to listen to the patients. Don’t have patience to listen. Entire staff here needs to be trained. I have highest regard on LEPEI till today. Lost everything after today’s visit.

Hospital wise, the best super speciality for eye care in India, admission department is very very negligent, location services not provided properly, on the appointment confirmation, should provide location gprs enabled, will ease book cab or guide driver

Bad experiences. As per my appointment visited there but every work was slow even each and every tests was done by the assistance. Dr. Kavya was only saw in laptop and told me okay you can collect the prescription from front desk.
At last they insist for eye glasses to make here only.

Never seen such cooperative and helpful people. The junior doctors treat the aged patients so dearly. Had been to Shankar Netralay and several renowned doctors but the actual issue got diagnosed here. Thanks a lot LV.
