The food is overpriced. Not so much tasty. The drinks have common ground not variety.all are sweets. Taste was not matching with the details giving with the items
Went for lunch today. Food was good but service was horrible. I had cold and I requested for warm water to drink. Waiter replied that they can't serve warm water. Never seen such arrogancy at any good restaurant.
Visited here as part of Zomato Carnival. We had Roti pe Boti and Thompson’s atta chicken. Both the dishes were very tasty. Roti be Boti was lip-smacking. Would highly recommend people to try out!
Staff was really unprofessional. They don’t even know how to speak to the customer. Moreover after waiting for long, food was served cold and when asked for reheat they literally burned the breads. Worst ever experience in fine dine.
Worst experience ever. Come and wait even if you reserved a table. Eat food cold or burnt if you tell them to reheat it. Order something else but eat something else as waiters don’t know the difference in garlic naan, cheese naan and lacha parantha. Stale onions Totally not worth it.
A Memorable Dining Experience at Sahib Sindh Sultan.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sahib Sindh Sultan, and I must say it was a truly remarkable experience. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. Here's why I highly recommend Sahib Sindh Sultan:

Every dish I sampled was a work of art, carefully crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The flavors were perfectly balanced, showcasing the chef's skill and attention to detail. Whether it was the succulent main course, the delectable appetizers, or the decadent desserts, each bite was a delightful revelation.
Impeccable Service: The service at Sahib Sindh Sultan was exemplary. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about their work. From their helpful recommendations to their prompt and efficient service, they went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. I truly felt like a valued guest throughout my visit.
Charming Ambiance: The ambiance of Sahib Sindh Sultan is simply enchanting. The interior decor is tastefully designed, creating a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. Whether you prefer an intimate dinner for two or a gathering with friends and family, the restaurant provides the perfect setting. The soothing background music added to the overall ambiance, allowing for enjoyable conversations without overpowering the dining experience.
Attention to Detail: What truly sets Sahib Sindh Sultan apart is their attention to detail. From the exquisite presentation of each dish to the thoughtfully curated wine list, every aspect of the dining experience has been carefully considered. The restaurant's commitment to perfection is evident in even the smallest of details, ensuring a truly unforgettable evening.
Overall, my visit to Sahib Sindh Sultan surpassed all expectations. The exceptional cuisine, attentive service, charming ambiance, and meticulous attention to detail combined to create an extraordinary dining experience. I wholeheartedly recommend [Restaurant Name] to anyone looking for a culinary journey that will leave a lasting impression. I can't wait to return to savor more of their exceptional creations.
I have been a regular customer with Sahib Sindh since 2007. However the latest experience was shocking and I have decided to never visit them again. I went to the restaurant on 19.08.2021 with my parents and ordered Achari aloo, shahi paneer, garlic naan, corn methi pulao and lime soda. They brought 3 bottles of water and the lime soda first. Then came the achari aloo and it was already looking old and reheated. I ate it and with the first bite itself I could taste the rotten food. I thought maybe I am mistaken or my sense of taste was not good that day so I asked my parents to taste it and tell me how they liked the dish. They took a bite and spit it out and said that it was rotten. I called the guy in charge and informed him that the food was split and we would like to cancel. He was repetitively saying that maybe we didn't like the food but we should taste the rest of the order. There was not even an apology. We informed that this kind of food and service is not expected and we would be leaving. Then he says pay for the water and the lime soda so I said fair enough, we opened a bottle of water and took a sip of the lime soda so I paid for the same and left. This was the worst ever experience I had and so far no restaurant had served spoiled food in my experience. And definitely I did not expect this from Sahib Sindh. The kitchen needs to be checked by the food inspectors and the management really needs to look into how the restaurant is being managed.
Sahib Sindh Sultan is a train themed restaurant which not only serves delicious North Indian cuisines but is also perfect for clicking some beautiful pics. Staff is very hospitable and ambience is unique and mesmerising. Food presentation and taste is just spot on. Will definitely recommend this restaurant for good dining experience.
This cozy vintage train style restaurant has left the best impressions! Situated in a mall in Banjara Hills with hospitable hosts, unique ambiance, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation & wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again. Staff are knowledgeable and make great recommendations. Try Roti pe boti appetiser, railway mutton, Hyderabadi biryani & lichi kheer for sure. Get some great pictures for Instagram clicked too. Love this place and will visit again soon.
Sahib Singh Sultan renamed as Journey 1853, takes one back to the colonial times. With history recreated in the train boogies it’s a nice place to taste simple less spiced biryani. A must try is the spinach karara chaat.
Been with family, order couple of starters and soups which are ok, on main course order prawn pulav, where prawns were not cooked properly it has that raw taste and smell, chicken biryani is also flop
One of the best restaurants on my list. Visited the same after years. The menu has become much shorter but the ambience & taste remains the same. Couldn't find my favourite "Fish Biryani" on the menu though. The service standards are very good.
Cons: Poor hygiene (I had cockrach roaming around the table) Dirty linens Poor uncoordinated staff (we were a group of 6) Horrible serving etiquette (we begged for cutlery)
Food is still quite good. Been a long time since I visited this place the last time due to the pandemic. Service was on the slower side this time due to lack of staff in the restaurant.
Very good Ambience, tasty food, Good serving staff, friendly and cosy atmosphere gives you all you want to have. You really feel that you are in a royal train
Kakori kebab, lamb raan, and their Rajasthani Laal dal are signature dishes from Rajput cuisine. We prefer a monthly visit to this place. Rest assured no liquor is served here, since 2019, atleast.
Worst hotel. We went to hotel and it is closed. No phone number to contact. Worst experience. Atleast they did not update their working hours in internet.
Five star for Train themed ambience and 3 star for food being served. Prices are too high for the taste of food. Pulav items are much better than Biryanis.
Extremely poor menu for the Vegetarians, Only had Paneer and the size of the Paneer was also very huge in dishes which made it very uncomfortable to eat
Thompson's Atta Chicken, Paneer Multani Rahra Masala & Maal Gaadi Handi Chicken!
Thompson's Atta Chicken Starter - Chicken marinated overnight with spices such as garam masala, ginger garlic paste, turmeric & red chilli powder and salt which is packed in casing of dough and cooked slowly in tandoor
Paneer Multani Rahra Masala - Diced Paneer topped with cheese in a brown gravy which is very delicious and Melts in your mouth
Maal Gaadi Handi Chicken - Chicken prepared in brown gravy infused with charcoal smoky flavour, served in Handi topped with fried egg. It has burst of flavours and Fired egg makes it a happy meal
Paneer Multani Rahra Masala & Maal Gaadi Handi Chicken served with Indian Bread
They have changed their name from Sahib Sindh Sultan to Journey 1853
Nice ambience, good service, pricey! There restaurant re-created the train (I think it was the first in India). Good for special occasions. It's located in the City center Mall. Good for entertaining clients, or for celebrating special occasions. Good was good, service was quick. Went for a weekday lunch, and there were not many people. Overall, I liked it. It is on the expensive side, so I would not be going regularly.
