Very good hospital but need to approve for better, there are all facilities available here but Doctor & medical staff behaviour is not so good & bribery is very enough, And last and most important point any patients trolley rider can't carry everywhere you without giving money.

The BRD Medical College was established in 1969 and is affiliated to Gorakhpur University. It was initially developed as a centre for treating mosquito-borne diseases. The Nehru Hospital is affiliated with the college. It[clarification needed] has 700 beds, with an additional 108 beds in Epidemic Ward.
The college is run by the state government. In August 2014, the Union Health Ministry led by Harsh Vardhan announced a plan to modernise the institute's infrastructure and to transform into a "super-speciality facility" on par with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
Scientists at the Government Regional Public Analyst Laboratory on the college campus were the first to discover that Maggi noodles contain too much monosodium glutamate (MSG), resulting in a high-profile case in the media.
BRD Medical College is the only tertiary referral hospital in a 300 km2 area around Gorakhpur, serving patients from 15 surrounding districts. It is a major centre for treating encephalitis, a disease that has seen regular outbreaks during the monsoon season in the Gorakhpur region. Patients, especially poor ones, come from several neighbouring districts, Bihar, and the neighbouring country of Nepal. According to a 2017 estimate, the BRD Medical College treats over 60% of the encephalitis cases in India and receives 2500–3000 encephalitis patients every year. Most of the encephalitis cases arrive during August–October, when the number of patients in the hospital ranges from 400–700.

इसकी स्थापना १९६९ में हुई थी और यह गोरखपुर विश्वविद्यालय से मान्यताप्राप्त है।
बाबा राघवदास का जन्म १२ दिसम्बर १८९६ को पुणे (महाराष्ट्र) में एक संभ्रान्त ब्राह्मण परिवार में हुआ था। उनके पिता का नाम श्री शेशप्पा और माता का नाम श्रीमती गीता था। इनके पिता एक नामी व्यवसायी थे। बाबा राघवदास के बचपन का नाम राघवेन्द्र था। राघवेन्द्र को बचपन में ही अपने परिवार से सदा के लिए अलग होना पड़ा क्योंकि राघवेन्द्र का हरा-भरा परिवार प्लेग जैसी महामारी की गाल में समा गया। १९१३ में १७ वर्ष की अवस्था में राघवेन्द्र एक सिद्ध गुरु की खोज में अपने प्रान्त को अलविदा कर दिए और प्रयाग, काशी आदि तीर्थों में विचरण करते हुए गाजीपुर (उत्तरप्रदेश का एक जनपद) पहुँचे जहाँ उनकी भेंट मौनीबाबा नामक एक संत से हुई। मौनीबाबा ने राघवेन्द को हिन्दी सिखाई। गाजीपुर में कुछ समय बिताने के बाद राघवेन्द बरहज (देवरिया जनपद की एक तहसील) पहुँचे और वहाँ वे एक प्रसिद्ध संत योगीराज अनन्त महाप्रभु से दीक्षा लेकर उनके शिष्य बन गए।
१९२१ में गाँधीजी से मिलने के बाद बाबा राघवदास स्वतंत्र भारत का सपना साकार करने के लिए स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में कूद गए तथा साथ ही साथ जनसेवा भी करते रहे। स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के दौरान इस कर्मयोगी को कई बार जेल की हवा भी खानी पड़ी पर माँ भारती का यह सच्चा लाल विचलित न होते हुए पूर्ण निष्ठा के साथ अपना कर्म करता रहा। १९३१ में गाँधीजी के नमक सत्याग्रह को सफल बनाने के लिए राघवबाबा ने क्षेत्र में कई स्थानों पर जनसभाएँ की और जनता को सचेत किया। बाबा देवरियाई जनता के कितने प्रिय थे, इसका अनुमान इसी से लगाया जा सकता है कि १९४८ के एम. एल. ए. (विधायक) के चुनाव में उन्होंने प्रख्यात शिक्षाविद्ध, समाजसुधारक एवं स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानी आचार्य नरेन्द्र देव को पराजित किया। बाबा राघवदास ने अपना सारा जीवन जनता की सेवा में समर्पित कर दिया। उन्होंने कई सारे समाजसेवी संस्थानों की स्थापना की और बहुत सारे समाजसेवी कार्यों की अगुआई भी। १५ जनवरी १९५८ को माँ भारती का यह सपूत, जनता का सच्चा सेवक अपनों से विदा लेकर ब्रह्म में विलीन हो गया।
उनकी स्मृति में पूर्वी उत्तर प्रदेश में अनेक शिक्षा संस्थाओं का नाम उनके नाम पर रखा गया है, जैसे-

College is very good. But in nehru chikitsalaya there were many medical students who were doing practical on patients. It's scary that senior doctors are not available in the Emergency ward. They are taking a registration fee of 10 rupees for emergencies but it's free of cost.

As per my experience in emergency ward the doctors and all other medical staff are very good in their work

One of the best medical College in Uttar Pradesh.
Doctors were good with patients but their staff (Ward boy) having rude behaviour with patients and their family members.

Very bad service of senior's doctor's and team always ready for fighting with patient relative, & behaviour is not good all staff's always talking with angry.

Doctors are good for patients, but ward boy's are rough by their behavior, nurses provide sufficient injection etc, tablets are purchased by outside.
Behavior of boy's on Gate of Ward no 4, it seems that they are drunk on duty, very ridiculous.
Dadagiri could be seen by junior assistants.

बहुत अच्छा स्पताल है बिमारियों का उचित निदान होता है उपचार व भोजन निहसुल्क है। मुख्य सडक पर होने से आपको जाने की सभी तरह की सुबिया है।

Services are improved but not satisfied, cleaning facility and patient care procedure are very poor. Think about the person who can't afford private hospital can go there but not get treatment as required, they needed

Treatment is fine, too much patients load. Facilities is ok. Need to work at basic, viz cleaness, water drainage system, hyzaine etc.
