Thieves all around.don't get onto the boats.they will screw you. Best don't go during the evenings. It's a scam to extract a boat load of money. I guess everyone is involved (IAS/IPS). If not how can such loot happen. Best is not to see ganga aarthi. Ganga is supposed to purify. But the thugs don't care. What purity when money and system helps. I hate that the administration will not do anything.why can't the boot loot shop.or will it? I believe the boot scene is the next. Come to a holy place to get robbed. Everyone is hell bent on loot.poojari, rickshaw, boat man, everyone. Sad.

Top rated only for Ganga Harathi, must must must visit, it will be very crowded so go there by 430 PM to grab a chair in the front row and enjoy the harathi in relaxing position. Ofcourse the sunrise is great from any ghat so watch it and you can bath and pinda pradhana can be cheated by fake pandits so beware of them.

This ghat is famous for Ganga Aarti which is conducted everyday (6: 15 PM in Winter and 7: 00 PM in Summers). Yesterday morning out of nowhere I see these balloons and it just made me awestruck. Banarasi mornings are one of the most beautiful ones I have experienced but these balloons added more charm to them.
Govt.with tie up to some private company has recently started this to attract tourists in Varanasi. Waiting desperately for the huge celebration of Dev deepavali and the launch of Balloon festival.

It is a special place where you can enter a magical dimension at sunrise and sunset. The sound of bells, chants and the eternal ganges is a heady mix for the spiritual minded.

Best place of Kashi, walking distance to Kashi Vishwanath temple. You must participate in evening aarti. (Approximately after sunset). Have a walk from Dashashwmedh ghat to Assi ghat. (You can take a boat ride too). Go other side of the Ganga river so that you can have life time memorable view of Kashi ghats. If you really want to explore then go to very near Manikarnika ghat to watch the reality of life and all you personality will get dissolved there. Apart from these, Morning sunrise can suprise you, with a different view and spiritual memories. Spend some time around the ghats, believe me you will never forget it.

Holy peaceful place not only for Indians but foreigners also. Awesome place for yoga, meditation and peace for some time if we sit here early in the morning about 4 am to 5 am. In the evening Arti Puja is performed in a marvellous manner.
