The design and architecture of KD babu sing stadium is very good. It is an attractive government Stadium of lucknow only one in lucknow built by the government of UP. You can play and games and training for any game hare and be champion on game and After the decoration on the national festival and any ocetion, this gets four moons, it becomes even more attractive. Parking facilities are available at hare. Numerous bus station and hotels are available nearby.

The place is good for the youngsters who want to take up sports, it is also good for other age group people too. I am going there for my running and Taekwondo practice and I am liking it.

I am a judo student here. Really love the time i spend here in the whole day even if it's just for 2 hours. Totally worth it for both fitness and fun.

लखनऊ स्थित स्टेडियम है जिसका नाम हॉकी के प्रसिद्ध भारतीय खिलाड़ी कुंवर दिग्विजय सिंह के नाम पर रखा गया है

केडी सिंह बाबू  (2 फ़रवरी 1922 -1978)  हॉकी के प्रसिद्ध खिलाड़ी थे जो ड्रिबलिंग तथा विपक्षी खिलाड़ियों को छकाने की कला में माहिर थे। इनका पूरा नाम कुँवर दिग्विजय सिंह बाबू थाम। हॉकी को भारत में लोकप्रिय बनाने और पूरी दुनिया में इसकी पहचान बनाने में मुख्य भूमिका निभाने वालों में ध्यानचंद और पद्मश्री से सम्मानित केडी भी थे।
लखनऊ से लगे बाराबंकी में 2 फ़रवरी 1922 को जन्में बाबू ने 14 साल की उम्र से ही हॉकी का कौशल दिखाना शुरू कर दिया था। इसी उम्र में बाराबंकी के देवा में उन्होंने पहला टूर्नामेंट खेला। [1]

दो साल बाद लखनऊ में लखनऊ यंगमैन एसोसिएशन की टीम से खेलते हुए तो उन्होंने राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर अपनी पहचान बनानी शुरू कर दी थी। दिल्ली में हुए ट्रेडर्स कप में अपने स्टिक वर्क और ड्रिबलिंग से उन्होंने दर्शकों को भौंचक्का कर दिया। इसी ट्रेडर्स कप में लखनऊ की युवा टीम का मुकाबला दिल्ली की मानवदार टीम के साथ हुआ, जिसमें ओलिम्पिक खिलाड़ी हुसैन भी शामिल थे।

केडी को नहीं बताया गया कि प्रतिद्वंद्वी टीम में ओलिम्पिक खिलाड़ी हुसैन भी हैं ताकि उनका नैसर्गिक खेल प्रभावित नहीं हो। के. डी. ने पूरे मैच के दौरान हुसैन को दबाए रखा। हुसैन भी कम उम्र के इस लड़के के खेल कौशल से आश्चर्यचकित थे।

मैच के बाद लखनऊ टीम के कोच मुश्कउज्जमां ने के. डी. को हुसैन के बारे में बताया। हुसैन ने मैच के बाद कहा भी यह लडका हॉकी का महान खिलाड़ी बनेगा। बाबू ने सोलह साल तक उत्तरप्रदेश का प्रतिनिधित्व किया और भारतीय टीम के उपकप्तान भी बने। लंदन में 1948 में हुए ओलिम्पिक में वह भारतीय टीम के उपकप्तान थे तो 1952 में हेलसिंकी ओलिम्पिक में टीम की कप्तानी उनके हाथ थी। [1]

अन्य देशों के खिलाड़ी गोल करने की उनकी कला से काफी प्रभावित थे और समझ नहीं पाते थे कि इस तरह गोल कैसे किया जा सकता है। वह गेंद को पहले गोल पोस्ट पर मारते थे और वापस आने के बाद उसे जाल से उलझा देते थे।

केडी ने उत्तरप्रदेश में हॉकी को विकसित किया और खिलाड़ियों को आगे बढाया। इसी का नतीजा था कि इस राज्य ने हॉकी के कई अंतरराष्ट्रीय खिलाड़ी देश को दिए। उनके नाम पर राज्य की राजधानी में स्टेडियम भी बने और खेल छात्रावास भी बनाया गया। लखनऊ का खेल छात्रावास 1972 में बना।

केडी के 1978 में निधन के बाद उनके छोड़े काम को आगे बढ़ाने का जिम्मा उनके प्रशंसक और ओलिम्पिक खिलाड़ी झमन लाल ने उठाया। युवा हॉकी खिलाड़ियों की प्रतिभा को निखारने के लिए बाबू के नाम से एक सोसायटी बनाई गई जो अभी तक अस्तित्व में है। केडी उत्तरप्रदेश खेल परिषद के पहले संगठन सचिव थे।

Poor facility been provided to audience, like toilets and all are either not maintained properly or are not easily accessible.

KD Singh Babu Stadium is a well known stadium in Lucknow providing a nice place to play wide range of sports. It has multiple for courts for Tennis, a basketball court, a cricket ground with well maintained pitch, Net for practice and a cool environment. Stadium ground is good, but lack of quality coach and training staff, stadium multi Gym charges more money than private gym

Stadium is undoubtedly worthy of all its grandeur.but no notice on cleanliness of the ground spectators' area n specially wash rooms which are damn dirty.

This stadium was built on name of mr kd singh.it is situated near by parivartan chauk.this place is for those peoples who want to improve their sports skill.here you can enhance your training, caliber, efficiency.stadium is very big.most of the sports u can play here.but not some sports like mix martial art.a good place for sport lovers.

One of the oldest stadiums of India named after the legendary Hockey player Shri K D Singh Babu. It is located in the heart of the city near Hazrat gunj and has got a good access from all the sides. Now a days it has lost it's charm. But has the potential to become a hub of sports activities if government plans accordingly.

Ground is not very well with tha grass.but it is just satisfactory. Stadium contains one basket ball court.one tennis court.and 3 to 4 pitches for knowing.all nets are broken.

I know this place very well. It is located near The Clarks avadh hotel, lucknow. Many people said that it is the first stadium in lucknow. The stadium is not so big. Many people going for morning walk there. Various small tournament are held there. Cricket training is happen there. The stadium also having a galary. That place good in the Lucknow main city near Clarks Avadh hotel.

One of The Oldest Sports Stadium at Lucknow

The stadia is having a grass turf and a multi pitch including athletics, hockey, football, handball and cricket pitches a basketball court too inside the stadium.
Outside the stadium premises are various other sports pitches and grounds like Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball etc with a roller skating rink.
There also exists a Badminton hall and an Olympic sized Swimming pool.

This however is not a tourist spot in any way!

I did not liked the place as it is not managed well. Even basic facilities like drinking water or cafeteria are not present.

This is one of the oldest stadium of Lucknow. The sports facilities are very few. Water drainage system is very bad. Water loging is day to problem in rainy season.
