It's a quaint little Cafe, bang on Assi Ghat facing the Ganges. Fortunately, some tables were free when we reached. Settled down and ordered Hot Chocolate to warm our shivering selves. It was nice, perfectly chocolatey and the correct sweetness. After that we ordered a garlic onion mushroom, it was decent, I would give t a 7/10. The spinach cheese Ravioli in white sauce, gets a 5.5/10. It's a bit pricey, but I guess you pay for the vibe, setting and location. Wanted to order the Apple Pie, but we were too full on carbs. It's a good 1 time visit cafe for sure. Har Har Mahadev.
Delicious food specially apple pie with ice cream, It is located at Assi Ghat on the bank of river Gange. It's just on the ghat up stairs from where the Ganga aarti happens in the evening.
We went to eat at Pizzeria vaatika cafe after seeing the reviews and food vlogs. The place is over crowded, seems like every tourist came here to eat. Waiting time is around an hour in peak hours in the evening. We ordered French fries and Margarita Pizza and white sauce pasta and to be honest it was actually average. I was hoping that they make authentic style Italian but I was disappointed the quantity is a bit less as well as per the price. It's worth a visit because you cannot expect an Italian cafe in or near ghats. Youtubera actually hyped up a lot of food outlets of varanasi but in reality they are average in taste.
I think it's the best ever cafe in Assi Ghat and the food is just yummy especially the apple pie. It is a must try apart from that I ordered pizza which is kind of normal but apple pie is must. The atmosphere is lovely family can visit it's too good.
Had wrost experience here.we had order a pizza, ravelio and the famous apple pie with ice-cream and all of those have worst taste. I will not recommend it at all to any of my friends and family
Staff were very rude. Extremely unprofessional behaviour. Pizza was decent. Also, apply pie which was recommended by a bunch of my friends was pretty overrated. Overall, not a great experience especially because of the staff.
Pizzeria Vaatika Café is an excellently lit café spread in open with music and great vibe. The owner was super polite to deal with customers. Reached there on a Saturday evening Pizzeria Vaatika Café was fully packed. It was crowded and I waited for 15 mins there but my turn didn’t come. The café was itself a mood, I must say. I checked the menu, couldn’t find any Pizza variety containing all veggies. Like Country Farm/ Veggie Deluxe Pizza where in there is onion, capsicum, grilled mushroom, corn and paneer.
Nice place on Ghat of Ganges. Excellent view of Ganga River. From restaurant, you can also see Ganga Aarti being performed at Assi Ghat. You must try their Apple Pie with vanilla icecream. Pizzas are also awesome. Slightly costly but overall great experience.
One of the best place to visit near ghat in varanasi. Taste was awesome plus the lush green ambiance make it go to place in Banaras. Do not forget to try apple Cream pie.
It's a great place. Great ambience. Great Service. Great Vibes. Menu are great. They're known for their pizza, apple pie, etc. Owner Gopal sir is everyone's favorite. Famous personalities visit this cafe and famous movie scenes were also shoot here like Masaan starring Vicky Kaushal. Overall a recommended place by me. Must visit.
True Italian pizza baked in coal fire tandoor and not in any electric oven. This pizza is too different from the one in domino's and Pizza hut, so beware that if you dont understand the quality here you may find this place not worth it, the taste is based on italian pizza. Apple pie is also very great here, they bake them overnight in very low heat flame to prepare it.
Also, the place is very beautiful and natural, you get the ganga view while you enjoy your food. Price is slightly on higher side.
The food and the ganga view is very good but they take around 35 to 40 min for preparing a small order. If you want to have something here then at least you require 1 hr. The charges is also little bit high.
Its just wastage of money, time n torture to your taste buds. I mean costing was so much high even fine dining restaurant don't charge so much. If you talk about ambience and infrastructure it was nothing as such. Charging high prices and the quality of food you are serving was totally different.
Good place to have Ganga View and a fine afternoon with friends! You can have here the most famous 'Apple Pie'. Apart from this, all other things like Pizza, Coffee is also available. Overall, nice place to visit.
Bad quality of food. No taste in food. Charging for cheese but no cheese was on food when it came. Bread of pizza was really very bad. And pasta was not worth of money. Very less quantity of food too.
It was good to sit and talk. We ordered pizza (without base), lasagna, cold coffee, mint drink, apple pie. It was average. I personally didn't like the food. But it's a cool place to hangout with frnds nearest to ghaat view.
A very good place to hangout specially in the night time and have authentic thin crust pizzas which are excellent in taste. The place ia little darker and have more amenities else the food is great.
Best Pizza in Varanasi. It's a shame that I visited here in 2021 despite being born in 1999. Don't make the mistake I made. Just visit this great place. Everything be it the Pizza, Pizza, Drink or Dessert was top notch. Best part is that it's wood fired pizzeria that source premium ingredients and u get the view of ghat (The real Varanasi)
Ghats in Varanasi are riverfront steps leading to the banks of the River Ganges. The city has 88 ghats. Most of the ghats are bathing and puja ceremony ghats, while two ghats, Manikarnika and Harishchandra, are used exclusively as cremation sites. One of the best place to visit in Assi Ghat, Varanasi.this cafe was established in 1993 and best known for its wide variety of pizzas & ofcourse the Apple pie? With ice cream. I spoke with the owner and he explained me that they prepare all ingredients at home and served with love and passion. The main attraction of this cafe is the location- Banks of Ganges. OMG breath taking. I have added few photos for your reference.actully I went there when there is flood in river Ganga in August month. Good food can take you anywhere. P. S. Not a food blogger.
This is one of the famous places in Varanasi. It’s go local thing. They are famous for the their specially apple pie and pizza base. Their self made pizza base are really gud along with hot drooling combination of apple pie with vanilla icecream will make u visit this place everytime.

The Owner Himself is so Humble and Caring that we talked for Hours and he helped in every possible way so that we can photograph Banaras Beautifully.
Must Try: - 1. Apple Pie with ice Cream 2. Onion Garlic Pizza 3. Nana Mint 4. Honey Ginger Lemon tea 5. White Sauce Pasta 6. Vatika Special Pizza.

There is nothing to like about this place. The ambience is bad, they don't even have a well painted wall. The food is overpriced and tastes awful. The proportion served is very very small. One should starve to death than visiting this cafe.
View is amazing, as it is situated at the bank of Ganges. Thin crust Pizza were delicious. And the star of menu Apple pie is the worth trying. Best apple pie ever
The place is good to chill. The river is right in front of the restaurant and the restaurant is on hugh ground so you can have a clear view of the ghat which is soothing in itself. The famous things to taste here are obviously apple pie and pizza. The price for pizza is a bit costly as it ranges between 260₹-400₹ for a pan size pizza and the basic one which is margherita is not that good they just pored a hell lot of cheese over it and the cheese was of very low quality. It was like some gravy is poured over pizza base and that too had no topping so yeah place is a but costly. The place is good for sight seeing but not that good for food.
Beautiful location, very good pizza. Needs more organisation. Missed Apple pie as it was over. That's the best at that place. Cleanliness to be maintained.
Brilliant options for vegetarians as an Italian restaurant. Have a lot of options and being in business for so long already tells you the great Italian food that they've been serving.
Must try dishes are ravioli and apple pie with icecream
One of the most sought after places in Banaras. Giving it a 4 star because I didn't order the pizza, instead I had their lasagna. And since I've had lasanga at multiple places and have had great lasagna I'd only give the dish a 2.5. The passion fruit punch and apple pie were a whole different story though, the taste was top notch, so a 5 for both. Went on a weekend so the place was crowded, but has a good vibe to it nonetheless. Situated on the Assi ghat with a view of the ganga, I would suggest to definitely visit the place, but not to have the lasagna though: p.
They give the best Wood Fire Pizza in Varanasi, without a doubt. Eating here since my childhood. They have been so consistent with the taste. Also to finish of your meal, do order Apple Pie, it's tastes amazing, golden brown crust takes my heart away everytime.
Just on assi ghat.can enjoy the view of the ganges & aarti from there.apple pie with vanilla ice cream must have item.all pizzas are yummy.nana mint very good.
Superb food.excellent service.love the place.highly recommend whoever comes to Varanasi to come here. Pizza, ravioli, mint juice cold coffee and apple pie.
One of the best scenic restaurant at the Ganges. With great view comes great Italian cuisine here. Though I'm a big fan of raviolis, spaghetti, pizza, nana-mint mocktail here, but their North Indian platter is equally good. They serves amazing dessert as well to treat your taste buds. Must visit once in varanasi.
The Worst Pizza of my life. Don't know they used what oil instead of Cheese. The base was burnt. The taste was disgusting. And the garlic bread tasted like stale bread with no flavor. Would NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE.literally feel like vomiting
Established in 1993 this cafe was the first Pizzeria of India.since then This place serves the best authentic Italian cuisine in varanasi. Beautiful simple ambiance and peaceful environment near ganga ghat will refresh your mood and soul, hence this cafe is always been a perfect hotspot for travellers. Do definitely try their vatika special Pizza, ravioli, nana mint and apple pie with ice cream ️
This place has my heart! It is one of the best meal I have had in years. Now I know the real taste of Pizza. The owners are wonderful. Their story and the efforts they put in behind every dish is inspiring. Despite of the footfall, the kitchen is extremely clean. The food is without any adulteration.
I personally ate the Margherita, onion garlic mushroom pizza and apple pie with icecream.
It was the best Margherita I ever had. And the apple pie.it was right amount of delicate and crusty, perfectly balanced with the icecream. It was the perfect end to the meal.
The mushroom garlic and onion pizza is incredible, so is their pasta with creamy white sauce. End it with the incredible Apple pie with ice cream, while enjoying that view of ganges
One of the signature place in Varanasi. Popular for their thin crust, clay oven baked pizzas and the mouth watering apple pie. Do visit this place if you are in town.
Very nice to sit outside during arati performance, although mosquitos can be a problem, also sand storms from the beach can be a problem too. Apple pie is as good as the legend goes. Carrot juice had ice cubes in it. Pizza was good but I was not blown away.
Situated at a very prime location at Assi ghat in Varanasi close to River Ganges you'll feel yourself in the lap of nature. This place one of the best Apple pies in town. Give it a try if you visit
This place has a fun outdoor setting. Good pizzas and great apple pie. It overlooks the ghat. Great place to people watch. Depending on the time of day there could be a lot of insects
For me it was an OK experience.but it would best for those who travel a lot and had a good experience of having Italian food.also good for vegan. 0 for olive oil pasta it sucks
It was a quite nice place situation at the bank of river Holy GANGA. Good place i like it very much. Varieties of traditional foods are available. Service was also good. One of the best part is you can have a great look of Ganga and the ghats of Kashi while having meal, this gives a beautiful experience.
Not good food. Pizza is worst. Not worth it. Rude owner. Doesn't respect Indian travellers. Overpriced food items (I think to loot foreigners). Moreover, they don't serve many things present on their menu itself. On asking them about "paneer pakoda" (which was written on the menu) they told me that they don't serve Indian, only Italian was available. So, I ordered an overpriced pizza (costlier than Domino's). But that pizza was not even worth a single penny. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO NOT GO INTO THIS CAFE. IT'S OVERPRICED AND THEY DON'T RESPECT THEIR INDIAN CUSTOMERS.
Okay, this is absurd but Pizzeria Vaatika Cafe is no longer a pizza place. The theme in which it has functioned for years is the beautiful nature-friendly ambience and travellers delving into the conversation but that doesn’t make a café a Good-Café. Of course, it is close to Assi Ghat and you can enjoy the beautiful river with tingling melodies of temples and the petrichor perfume. And as much as I appreciate the raw beauty of this place, I also take a step back when I eat the food of the Café.
The Pizza that I had was bland, greasy and bare minimal flavour for what qualifies as a really good pizza, for a moment it looked like there was oyster on my pizza. I mean, I’m okay with the thin base and raw tandoor pan but what I’m not okay is the taste of the pizza. And that made me realise that a certain benefit of ambience and location doesn’t make a café; great.
Maybe when they revamp the place and really have some authentic Italian pizza as they promise, then I’ll visit it again but for now, I’ll stick with the Apple pie, which still tastes as delicious as before and makes you crave for more. Perhaps the only thing that is saving the café from falling downs is the classic Apple Pie and beautiful location and it’s sad to see that the folks at Pizzeria are bind folded on that fact.
Amazing quality. Not to miss the bread and Apple pie. Pizza has unique and authentic taste as it is cooked on wood, in true Italian style. Location is also wonderful on Bank of river Ganga, where scenic beauty also adds to the taste of food.
The food was horrible and stale due to which my friends and I suffered from food poisoning for over three days. Never had such a disgusting pizza in my life. Almost all my friends started vomiting few hours after eating the pizza. Never gonna go to this place again.
Great location above the Assi ghat. We ordered aglio olio peperoncino pasta, Matar paneer and zeera rice. Pasta was yummm. Zeera rice and paneer was good. But it's lil bit heavy on your pocket and quantity of food is not sufficient.highly recommend aglio olio.
