Ranjan Cafe (* earlier upto 1990's, used to be one big place called Ranjan Cafe/Rovers) is a landmark iconic place of Lucknow for all old timers. Earlier there used to be a huge tree in the front, and we used to come here from school on cycles, and eat in the shade.
Now the big tree has gone, and the place has split into two (* note separate entities), Ranjan Cafe And Rovers, but both the places offer same stuff.
Their mutton Frankie used to be the best in Lucknow, now i feel, overall quality of food has not been maintained. Also, parking is a challenge here, especially around dinner time, very over crowded.
Still a good option for a quick snack in Hazratganj area, especially in winters.
Best to walk to this place.
P. S: Ranjan Cafe is run by an Old Martinian, which is visible with the pictures of the school as part of the decor. Which I liked!
