I was taking a bus from my home Azamgarh to Bahraich. On the way, I had to change the bus from Faizabad. We decided that we will first visit Ayodhya and then leave for Bahraich, so we also saw Hanuman ji's and Dashrath Mahal.

यह एक प्रथा है कि राम मंदिर जाने से पहले सबसे पहले भगवान हनुमान मंदिर के दर्शन करने चाहिए। मंदिर में हनुमान की मां अंजनी रहती हैं, जिसमें युवा हनुमान जी उनकी गोद में बैठे हैं। जब रावण पर विजय प्राप्त करने के बाद भगवान राम अयोध्या लौटे, तो हनुमानजी यहां रहने लगे। इसीलिए इसका नाम हनुमानगढ़ या हनुमान कोट रखा गया।

One of the most famous places to visit when in ayodhya and one of the most famous temples here. It is a fortified place with police security all over the place controlling every aspect. The entrance is a big way to the temple. Due to the covid situation police guide the devotees to the entrance and then direct to the exit. No parikrama allowed. Conjested alleys lead to this temple. Alleys are painted recently in yellow color with a multitude of sweet shops.
