Crowd management needs improvement. Too much of delay at every level. Menace of large number of VIPs is irritating. While they have easy access, pilgrims & devotees have to wait for hours unnecessarily. Give legitimate quick entry to military and paramilitaries personnel but not to any shady fellows. Post central force instead of local police.

As much the temple is all good. There is lack of civilization in that part of the world. Worst pandit I ever got who took pocket full of money but with worst customer service. Please be aware of Rahul Shastri and his brother Shubham. They only take your money but will reject the offer if you want to do something to God or do some donation to the temple. Inspiite of booking with him a week early for the Darshan this man literally made us wait 3 hrs to take Darshan for no reason.

With VIP tickets, it took just 20 min to get darshan & don't forget to collect free prasad from Help Desk counter upon producing the ticket. Mobile is prohibited & need to keep in locker free of cost at temple facilited locker room. Divine, all Sanatani's MUST VISIT.

The temple is astonishing, the arrangement as well is very good, the only thing that deteriorates the experience here is VIP culture, You can wake up at 3 am and get in the line at the temple for "sparsh darshan" scheduled between 4AM to 5AM, yet there will be no guarantee that you will get to do it simply because of VIP's you can hear frequent sirens blazing with cops making way for these people's car to reach the temple. Since when did God start preferring the rich and the ones in power. While the common people are made to stand in lines for hours these influential people get escorted directly for the darshan.

I have no such words for Varanasi, Baba Vishwanath Temple is now a full fledged security and sequence. Before entering the Temple you have to submit the mobile phone, car key or any electronic gadgets to any Prasad Shop with locker. For mothers who have babies they can carry their Milk bottle. Feel the positivity inside the temple. If you want to touch the Shiv Linga you have to visit at 4 AM or 6 PM. If you want to see the Mangla Arti you need to visit the Temple at 2: 30 AM by buying the tickets from entry counters.

I love this place.

A very good initiative by the government to build this corridor. This really helps the devotees to reach the Kashi Vishwanath Mandir easily. It is very wide the roads are clean, there police force for the safety of public. And Announcement office for helping people if someone's missing. And the whole corridor is colored Pink, which looks damn beautiful.

Great place to visit. Little overcrowded during Shrawan Month specifically on Monday. But well managed place with clean environment and beautiful infrastructure & great architecture on temple.

लेकिन 1 बात है कि आप वहाँ समय लेकर जाए और वहाँ के जीर्णोद्धार के बाद तो थोड़ा सा ज़्यादा समय ले कर जाए क्योकि शाम का नज़ारा और शाम की आरती दोनो इतने सुंदर होता है कि आप खुद रुक जाएंगे ।

मंदिर के आस पास खाने पीने की इतनी व्यवस्था ना है और मेन रोड तक आप के ई रिक्शा मिल जाएंगे

महादेव की नगरी से कोई भी खाली हाथ नही लौटता है। सारी लिपि शब्दकोष कम पड़ जाएंगे बखान करने में । मन आत्मा शरीर सब निर्मल हो जाता है।

Don't know from where the management of tample got this much space as compared to 4 years back.

Visited post renovation and was simply overwhelmed by the grandeur of the temple. It's a perfect blend of spiritualism and modern facilities like wide corridors, cleanliness etc.

I went there to give my entrance test at BHU were we stayed for 9 days I experienced a type peacefulness and completeness every second that I have stayed especialky Ganga ghats Ganga harathi I think that is the power of lord Shiva

Temple area is big and attracting. Domes of temple are covered with gold. So many goodshops starts from the entrance gate no. 1 of temple. This entrance is there on the road which goes to Dashashwamedh Ghat.

Avoid local Acharya (sly) who came to escort and offered their services to get your worship done. In that temple, make sure no one can come between you and baba bholenath.

I stopped by at Varanasi as I landed in Varanasi to go to Allahabad (Prayag Raj) for the Kumbh Mela and the people I came with took me for the darshan of Kashi Vishwanath Temple.they had a little idea about how it goes and then they knew a Panditji who helped us to do the Darshan very nicely and Lord Shiva himself made sure that I was treated like a Queen.from the godowlia chownk we hired a guy with a wheelchair a manual wheelchair who was an expert to the bestest of his experience to take the wheelchair up till the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and bring you back safely to the point he started from.there are so many steps and since the work is being done for the betterment of the locals, temple is being majorly renovated.everything was broken but I cannot explain in words the efficiency of the guy who took me on the wheelchair.so don't fear at all if you are on a wheelchair just close your eyes yes it's a very bumpier kind of an experience, if you keep your eyes open you might just feel scared because the way they take you i mean the single handed person takes your wheelchair from the steps and to the steps is marvelous provided you have faith in almighty that he will make everything go through properly.one is not allowed to take the camera or purse/bag in the temple you can keep them in a locker outside in a store where you buy the prasadam samagri, the story also provides you with the key to the locker. At the temple my Darshan was so so good as I got a chance to go through and through the whole Temple very smoothly but yes inside the temple you are not allowed to take your wheelchair but I had a walking stick which turns into a tripod chair so with the help of people I did do the Darshan and when I was tired after few steps I would open my tripod and sit down.one has to make that little extra effort and everything will be fine but it is worth making the effort for the divine experience/ Darshan.the guy who takes you on the wheelchair should not charge you more than hundred 100 to 150 rupees but I gave him 300 rupees because I was so so happy that I could do the Darshan and he made it possible with the will of God.and yes there were other beautiful experiences I had on the way back.we stopped at Chotu Lassi wala in one of the galis/lanes where we got to taste the best Lassi filled with Malai and another thing called malido which is the Jhaag collected that comes on the milk when it is boiled and they serve you in small donas it's like a soft souffle kind of a fluffy thing which is so tasty and in the same lane there was a famous Paan Wala also.

This is an old Kashi Vishwanath Temple and is the main temple of lord Shiv. This temple is one of the main attractions of varanasi.
This temple of lord Shiva is one of the twelve jyoutirlings which are situated at different parts of India. So obviously, it is a must visit place for every tourist and also the Annapurna Temple (before vishwnath temple).

निर्माण

वर्तमान मंदिर का निर्माण महारानी अहिल्या बाई होल्करद्वारा सन 1780 में करवाया गया था।. बाद में महाराजा रणजीत सिंह द्वारा 1853 में 1000 कि. ग्रा शुद्ध सोने द्वारा बनवाया गया था।.

हिन्दू धर्म में कहते हैं कि प्रलयकाल में भी इसका लोप नहीं होता। उस समय भगवान शंकर इसे अपने त्रिशूल पर धारण कर लेते हैं और सृष्टि काल आने पर इसे नीचे उतार देते हैं। यही नहीं, आदि सृष्टि स्थली भी यहीं भूमि बतलायी जाती है। इसी स्थान पर भगवान विष्णु ने सृष्टि उत्पन्न करने का कामना से तपस्या करके आशुतोष को प्रसन्न किया था और फिर उनके शयन करने पर उनके नाभि-कमल से ब्रह्मा उत्पन्न हुए, जिन्होने सारे की रचना की। अगस्त्य मुनि ने भी विश्वेश्वर की बड़ी आराधना की थी और इन्हीं की अर्चना से श्रीवशिष्ठजी तीनों लोकों में पुजित हुए तथा राजर्षि विश्वामित्र ब्रह्मर्षि कहलाये।

Lot of things to take care. For Temple visit heavy rush and no mechanism for crowd management. The police personnel posted inside the temple just push all irrespective of age. It's very difficult for senior citizen to balance and a peaceful dharshan.

காசியில் கங்கை நதிக்கரையில் 64 படித்துறைகள் இருக்கின்றன. காசி விஸ்வநாதர் ஆலயத்தின் பின்புறம் ஆதி விஸ்வநாதர் ஆலயம் இருக்கிறது. இங்கு சிறிய கருவறைக்குள் உள்ள இறைவனுக்கு பக்தர்கள், தாங்களே கங்கை நீரை எடுத்து அபிஷேகம் செய்து வழிபடலாம்.
