We did a walking tour and several meals with them. They were always ready to help and gave us lots of information about their wonderful culture. Recommended!

Somit guest house is a quiet, clean and very welcoming environment.
It offers various services, including shared rooms, single rooms and possibly breakfast, lunch and/or dinner.
The guest house runs an NGO that offers education to the most disadvantaged children in Varanasi. So there is also the possibility of volunteering.
Finally, the structure also offers Yoga and Reiki services from the owner (specialised in these areas!) and great availability for any extra activities.
It is located in a fairly central location of Varanasi.
Recommended, great for a few days.

First of all, the location is good so it's easy to go without burden. I took two yoga classes on the rooftop and it was the best thing I did in Varanasi! The teacher was really kind and even though it was my first time doing yoga, she taught me everything step by step. In the afternoon, I taught the children how to study math, and it was a fun and rewarding experience. Anyway, I really recommend it. If I had known it was run as a guesthouse, I think I would have stayed here.

I took yoga and cooking classes. After doing yoga, my whole body felt refreshed and my mind became clear.

And, even my son, who is a picky eater and cannot eat vegetables, approved of the cooking class. As we made food together, my resistance to vegetables decreased a lot and I became curious about the taste.

It was a happy time as Somit's mother, who took the lead in cooking, also cooked with all her heart.

It was a real pleasure to stay at Somit and his family's guest house on my arrival in Varanasi. I stayed for 4 days and from the beginning I felt at home. Furthermore, it was very nice to have seen their education project where girls and boys with limited resources can learn mathematics, English and other subjects that can open up good possibilities for their future. Without a doubt, it was an experience full of heart.

Feeling very good in these place. These guest house all staffs very helpful and friendly. Near the ganga ghat.

Totally homely feeling I realised with mother and brother Somit is here. Highly recommended.food is also homely cooked and served.

It is one of the best accommodation in Varanasi as I realised. I traveled here as a solo female traveler and felt total family feeling during my stay here.location is good and best place for everyone.

Owner and his colleagues are really great, this the first time ever that I have found this type of friendly owner. Very good to live at affordable prices. And owner runs a school for poor children and it's totally free. Best accommodation in budget price.
Boat tour I went with china (the guy who is working here) and Somit is best yoga teacher in Varanasi India. Volunteering with kids was awesome.

And your mom is so sweet and jolly. Because of your place, I met some new wanderer friends from Delhi, Pondicherry, UK and Germany.

Feeling good here before staying my plan was for just one day but after looking the hospitality of these accommodation I decided no more changes and I was here for 3 nights good host and family.

Somit paying guest house is very good accommodation and it is in my budget friendly staffs with good foods they provide. Room is neat and clean wifi is very fast here I really enjoyed my stay with Somit palace.

Accommodation is in my budget and glad to found these place. It is not far from ganga river just 3 minutes by walk and same Kashi Vishwanath temple too I visited two times morning and the evening time. Place for stay is good not expensive service is ok and friendly place.

I ate here several time fresh foods and work as volunteer with the kids thrice good everyone should to visit and give seva. Fresh foods with amazing time.

Nice no problem anything here enjoyed my stay here and expended time with the kids it was beautiful and valuable. Staying in dormitory room one bed. Nice roof top good view and restaurant too.happy stay will back in future with family'.

Mangaer Mr. Somit he is so humble and kind and place is very neat and calm situated near Ganga Ghat where you can access all important places in the City in around 1 km of radius.
I will refer my friends colleague and everyone to come here and be a part of this safe and secure place in Kashi.

It is very near of mother ganga and kashi vishwanath temple is very near from these accommodation. Positive point is here that family accommodation not hotel type. I was here in dormitory room with sharing other peoples. No locker here but we can keep the expensive things on reception. When I asked why not locker Somit said in past people's stolen in locker box. From that time no locker. I think good way. What he is doing his social work for free school for the kids is super. Should to visit here.

This is one of the best PG accommodation I've been to. Mr Somit who runs is very friendly and responsive. We were guided by Mr Vickey for the temple tour and he was the best in caring and took extra care of my old age mom and Aunt.
Of course it is located in old streets of Varanasi so the Streets will be very narrow.but this is the case with most of the PGs here. If you are normal to walk and you are coming for Temple and spiritual visit. Then this place is very near.a 10 min walk from here to see Ganga Arti and temple 5 mins walk to Choshakti that were you can take a dip every morning and start your boat ride too.
The rooms are decent (not so posh or elite type) but homely type. But Clean and Neat.

Very Friendly accommodation and i realized place is very familiar and good place for all kinds of travellers. During my stay other countries travellers was also here. Near the river ganga and centrally located.good place for budget travellers.

It's very good to stay this place because this place is affordable for students as well as tourists.

And the behaviour of all staffs is very friendly.
You can check in at any time.
It is peaceful area near the ganga ghat.

Best experience we have received here very near from the river ghat of Aarti place and really enjoyed these friendly accommodation in varanasi.

Poor quality of living room and balcony, garden was not clean, unprofessional staff and they mostly fascinated to foreign guests. Poor quality of meal.

It is the excellent place for the value of the cost.in life money come and goes.in these place totally family accommodation I did not feel that I am in different city. I was here in dorm and it is big room I was alone and enough space.money goes here for good cause.

Somit and his Staff are so friendly and helpful, there is a free school for children in the guest house which Somit runs. Wonderful experience, make sure you do the walking temple tour, highly recommend!

Very good accomodation service and guidelines of how to darshan many places with near Varanasi and room rent is very low at my budget and mainly very soft person like behaviour of family member and glad these lovely friends. They treat very good even we are Indian.

I have visited these place directly after speak with owner he send me location live in whatsapp otherwise it could be super hard in late night check in. It was comfortably stay here and next morning I visited one staff of here his name is maharaja in temple of kashi vishwanath and it was good service.

Accommodation gotten enough space for single person. We are not alone and good enough. Happy stay.
