If you want any rituals one guruji will come in the morning before 8.30am every day. He don't demand but his age and dedication we have to give more. Minimum 2001/- he is having everything we need not buy.

Here the authority of room booking Manager behavior is not good and talking like rude. I've seen while visit there many aged people were miss behaved by him as arrogant and not even given respect to their age too. If the room services can't able to give due to their own internal issues means, it's OK but devotees from Tamilnadu has coming here for the help of getting our regional people support at unknowing place like this in out of Tamilnadu but these people behavior was totally making me upset. I really feel very bad to say like this and I know many of people recently thought and may hesitated to tell like this. This trust is really made to service our people but because of this arrogant service person totally spoiling the real moto of vision and need to change the attitude

A great place from where pooja materials are going to the Viswanath temple daily, interruptedly for more than 210 years.

This place serves very well all yatrikas from the South, particularly from Tamilnadu

It was sankrilas at short time despite lot of limitation it were all softened by hospitality shown in helping temple visit and Pooja visit

Name only tamil, but they don't help tamil people, they don't give room for single persons, i don't know how everyone is coming with family or couple

Nagarathar Chathram is good, very neat and clean, maintenance is good.

Really good south Indian food (chettinad). First we thought the people who cook the food were Tamilians but they were Varanasi people (taught to cook). Don't expect variety. They do right by what they have.

Lucky enough to stay in this very old (may be 200 years) dharmshala, very marginal fee to pay for the stay. But the food served here is superb and actually you are staying in a temple with all amenities, the rooms are clean, for those who are coming in pilgrimage don't expect hotel style beds. You need to obtain tokens in the morning hours for the lunch and dinner to help them prepare food for you. In-house sales counter to facilitate souvenirs. I could find tamil people from foreign countries visit this place very often. There is one Shiva temple inside the complex and our rooms are placed around it. Awesome experience.

No room allotted for single persons. Plan atleast 20 days before to stay in the satram. Foods served are the best south Indian type. Walkable distance to Viswanath temple.

We from Tamilnadu came here to ask them help for giving Thithi. They kindly helped us. Though, we didn't stay here, I can say this chathiram is clean. But we had a South Indian lunch here for a decent price. They served with so much love! Contact them before you visit Kasi. I think they will definitely help you. Apart from Manager (veerapan) irresponsible attitude everything is satisfactory.we are team of 5 to 10 people visits kashi every year. Past 4 years we stay here till our trip ends. Tamil people can find a better place than this. Excellent food and good serving. Some people who own this Chatiram are dedicatedly doing this service but people like this manager spoils the reputation.we stayed there on 2 week of feb 2020.

Coming to Manager Attitude.
1. Unnecessarily he is making us to wait to get the room.we waited for more than 1 and half hour hrs.we requested for room he said to wait and started doing his own job and after 30 min he asked why are you waiting we were literally shocked as he forgot it and said we want rooms which we booked, hearing that again he started doing is own job after 30 min again we requested he said the same thing again, wait and again the same thing happened 3/4 times which irritated our us a lot.since we dnt have any other stay options in that late night we were holding our temper. His attitude seems to be purposely doing.same thing happened for other people as well. To others he said for oly half an hour oly you are waiting why are you hurring up.

2. We booked the room 45 days before trip.when we reached there but the manager replied its just a formality then whats the point of advance booking.and more over he asked us to go to Hotel Vijay for stay as the rooms are full. After 1hr 30 min he opened the register and looked for vacant rooms. Then we pleased him as we have couple we cant find alternative in late night then atlast he gave two rooms.

3. For Cleanliness 200 they charge but the bathroom and toilet water was staying there for 3 days which we have not faced in the previous years.

Very sorry to state that maintenance is very poor. The one at Allahabad was far far better. I booked Varanasi accommodation on a reference of my friend but it was not so as per the opinion.

One of the best place for south Indians to stay, excellent south indian food with rice, sambar, rasam, poriyal, curd etc.staff is excellent, maintained very perfectly. You need call them and book for accommodation, stay can be from 1 day to 10days. It's so traditional and very religious, you feel blessed to be their.

நண்பர்கள் யாரேனும் காசி யாத்திரை செல்ல விருப்பபட்டால். காசியில் நமது நாட்டு கோட்டை செட்டியார் சத்திரம் உள்ளது. அதுஉம் காசி விஸ்வநாதர் கோயிலுக்கு மிகஅருகில். தங்கும் வசதி உணவு மிகவும் அருமையாக இருக்கும். மேலும் படகு சவாரியும் அவர்களிடமே உள்ளது. காசியை சுற்றி 8 புன்னிய கோயில்கள் மற்றும் கங்கை நதியில் பல படித்துறைகளும் உள்ளன. படகுசவரின் போது காணலாம். தங்கும் செலவு ரூ 260 - ரூ 400 வரை ரூம் செலவாகும். காலை ம இரவு உணவு ரூ 50 மட்டுமே. வாரத்தில் சிலநாட்கள் மதியம் அன்னதானம் வழங்கப்படுகிறது. இல்லாத நேரங்களில் ரூ 7௦ மட்டுமே. அனைத்துமே தமிழ் நாடு உணவாகும். மேலும் படகு சவாரி செல்ல நபர் ஒருவருக்கு ரூ 70 ஆகும். மேலும் சுற்றயுள்ள கோயில்களுக்கு ஆட்டோவில் செல்ல ரூ 500 முதல் ரூ 900 வரை வசூல் செய்கின்றனர். அனைத்து கோயில்களுக்கும் சென்றுவர 6 மணி நேரம் முதல் 8 மணிநேரம் வரை ஆகும்.

Satram for tamil people. Well established and common centre for all tamil speaking people. They will guide for each and every steps to do at varanasi and nearby. Can get original tamil food at reasonable cost. Must take food here.

Excellent place. The way you are treated and the respect they give to you is ultimate. Food that they provide is so so Good like the one which we get in Kanchipuram.
