Such a peaceful place. Everybody is so kinda and humble. Healthy and tasty food. Clean Rooms. Loved the stay. Highly recommended!

WORST PLACE IN ALL OF INDIA.

When we arrived, inside our room there were more than 200 insects/mosquitoes. It took more than an hour until they gave us a solution: they changed our room to a lower category but with 100 insects instead of 200. HORRIBLE.

Breakfast is included. The toast is brought to you soft, the butter is made with your hands and the coffee is horrible, the worst in India after a month traveling the country. Not to mention that to drink it you had to chew it because of the amount of grounds it had.

To finish, on the last day they LIED to us with the transfer to go to the airport. Our flight left at 8 pm so we asked for the car at 3: 30 in the afternoon to go to the airport, 4 and a half hours before our flight. However, they told us that at that time it was very tight and that we had to leave earlier because the road was going to be closed. Once in the car, talking to the driver, he acknowledged that he had another trip scheduled at 4 pm and that was why he had picked us up at 1 pm.

I have a mixed feeling of this place. On the one hand it was in beautiful location and I had a very nice time with the resident yoga teacher and he supported me in a time of need… and at the same time I felt a bit ripped off by the facility. The staff tried to be accommodating to my requests for basic needs like water and a tea kettle and they were very responsive…. But I was paying 3000 a night for the view only. I had different expectations of the place because of the website. The website said water and food were included in the stay. This was not the case. The breakfast was a horrible attempt at a breakfast even for Indian standards. I have been living in India for 7 years on and off and never in my life have I received such a undernourishing breakfast. The place feels like it is recovering from the pandemic and trying desperately to bring in money lost during that time. The website photos of the rooms were also better then what I stayed in. The staff was trying their best to please me and also made me feel a bit crazy for the basic needs I was requesting.

I was very new to the city so I imagine there is an initiatory layer to this, but I haven’t never felt so out of my element. One night I was very hungry and tried to go in the kitchen to see it was barren and also located directly next to a bathroom with the door to the toilet open. I have never stayed at a place where a small and dirty kitchen was placed directly next to a bathroom. The space was worth maybe 600 ruppes a night. And I was also overcharged for laundry. I felt a bit taken advantage of but at the same time the staff did do it’s best to try to support me so I’m grateful for that.

I’m sure this place works for fleeting tourists. I would never stay here again even though there was still sweetness to my experience.

I probably came across as needy to them, but I am just used to having my needs met and also having support in finding what I need if my need cannot be directly met by the facility.

This stay was very challenging. It’s nothing like what I expected from what I read on the website.

I’m walking away with so many mixed feelings because I do see the they are trying their best.

Maybe it’s me…. Open to being very wrong about what I saw and felt. But this is what I have to say for now.

Location is good with the view near to assi ghat. Don't go with the name. It's not the ashram. Rooms and services are not so great. There is no complimentary services.

Third class facility. Staff is not supportive. They do not bother about the customer's once you check-in. Mosquitos are all around. Will not recommend for families and specially for children.

We had amazing stay at this property. I visited with my mom so was looking for calm n serene place where she can feel the essence of Varanasi. This place is just 200m away from Assi ghat.
Staff was really helpful.

What a beautiful property located at a 5 minute walk from Assi Ghat. The staff was so friendly and made us feel at home immediately! The room was clean and big with a beautiful view of the ghats.

The property itself is situated right next to the river and is stunning.

10/10 would recommend staying here.

We went to this place and had booked entire hotel.the rooms are very spacious and very nicely maintained.the view from the hotel is also very beautiful.it is located just on the banks of Shree gangaji.the owners are very humble and ready to help anytime.must stay when in Varanasi

I was long time ago. Amazing. Neer the stairs, you can fell the indian life tjere, peaceful place, clean, simple beautiful.

Great and quiet hotel next to the river Ganga. One can walk along the river in the dry season to reach all the ghats in Varanasi. They also have a nice and inexpensive food. Additionally, one can have yoga classes there and chill out in the relaxed open spaces on each floor. My favorite hotel in India so far!

The natural view is nice but when it comes to the interaction with staff.yes as other said he just want money and we serve water to everyone but here as a room service you have to buy water bottle from them they don't have RO or water cooler and when we ask them to atleast provide us water they simply say fill the normal tap water. The behavior of staff is the main concern he is very rude. I'll suggest everyone don't come they will do formalities as i m regretting staying here. If you want a healthy and happy environment then this is not the option.

The most clean and quiet place in varanasi. The Ashram is facing the Gangas with a lovely green grass and trees. The owner is a real yogi, master in Ayruveda and has a lot of knowledge to give. The whole family and staff are so kind and they make you feel very welcome. Highly highly recommended!

Amazing, I stayed here for over 2 weeks with my partner. Was made to feel very welcome and therefore felt at home:) Peaceful quite place in an amzing location only a short walk to Assi Ghat. Amazing ganga views from most rooms and lots of spaces to relax, nap, read, work, meditate or do yoga! Defintely recomend staying here if you're planning a trip to Varanasi!

The most peaceful place in Varanasi, we loved staying here. Kind staff - very helpful. Comfortable room. Great views. Away from the chaos and near the amazing assi ghat.

Nice stay at the south end of the main area. So be prepared to walk a bit to the bund. But the staff and breakfast was good and they give you extra blankets if it gets cold.

But be really aware that is can be VERY cold in winter times and we saw a few people leaving the place because of that.

People might say good things about this place, that its beautiful, that they have nice room etc.maybe true. But most important, i hear from many people and now i experienced myself is that the owners are very hypocritical and greedy and not friendly at all.this place doesnt diserve the name of "Yoga Mandir" "Shrine of Yoga". It is quite the opposite actually. Bad energy. I don't recommend.

Nice and quiet place to stay in hectic Varanasi. Rooms are spacious and staff helpful. Restaurant is also good and affordable. We would come again!
