Wonderful place, we stayed there at West Bengal Tourism Guest House, nice and lovely location, just front of the Digha sea beach, affordable price, very clean and hygienic linen and rooms are very spacious, enjoyed a lot of local cuisine, specially the seafood, nice weekend vacation with family and friends, Must visit place
Digha is one of the most popular tourist destinations of West Bengal. It's well connected by train and bus from Kolkata and other cities. The beach is nicely maintained and quite clean. You can watch the sea waves and enjoy the cool breeze at evening while sipping coffee or tea. Lots of food stalls are to munch from, be it fresh fish fries, kebabs, chats, ice creams, etc. It's an ideal place for shopping too, as the biggest market of Digha is here.
Digha, a city in the state of West Bengal, India, is a fascinating tourist destination. It is located in the North Vidyasagar area of Kolkata and is located on Hogolbari Kella Island. Digha is a relationship destination full of beaches, jetties, and other recreational opportunities. It has been a major transportation hub as well as an important business and financial part of the city. Digha is known for its ancient history and beautiful beaches.
This place is good for small vacation. I won't say it's very good but not bad either, the night time is pretty crowdy but its okay. The sea water is very polluted so you're not able have fun for too long. Besides because of the salty water your skin will burn or maybe it cause you skin problems. So be careful there.
Very crowded, but this is the beauty of Digha. One of the most visited destination near Kolkata. A beautiful sea beach. Government has taken steps in beautification and cleanliness of the area, that is a very appreciative work.
Digha, a charming beach town in West Bengal, is home to the incredible New and old Digha beach. As one of the most renowned beaches in the city, it offers a perfect escape for those seeking a serene and picturesque vacation. The both beach located just 2 kilometers away from each other, captivates tourists with its accessibility, ample space, and peaceful ambiance.
The New Digha beach boasts soft, inviting sands that make it an ideal destination for a relaxing weekend getaway. Nestled amidst the scenic landscapes of southern West Bengal, this beach town offers a tranquil retreat surrounded by the beauty of nature. As you stroll along the shoreline, you'll be greeted by the gentle caress of the sea breeze and the enchanting sight of casuarina trees lining the distance.
Still it's beautiful Digha. It's summer time very hot weather. But at night it's pleasent to sit at old digha beach and feeling the sea sore. Best to book hotels befor entering at holidays and weekends. Best time to visit at any working days to see Digha with less croud because beauty is sceriosly in the silence. One more advice to the visit there in full moon.
The place was very crowded. The length of beach way was huge. However beach was not so clean. The adjacent market was huge. You can find variety of fast food as well as dinning options. Availability of Transportation options are good till 9 pm after that it started to decrease. You can also found huge numbers of souvenir shop but price of items varies from person to person. Full of light and music. Sitting arrangement were good. Available public washrooms and watchtowers. Overall good place to hangout with friends and family or loved ones.
I love it. For Howrah public, cheapest but one of the most enjoyable tourist place. Most comfortable place to visit. 2 to 3 days is enough for the tour.
While it's always wonderful to experience the sea breeze and enjoy the sunset, parts of the beach is occupied by numerous stalls and public drinking and doing hookah and the environment is very dirty and filthy and foul smelling.try visiting in the off season to avoid such public destroying nature and peace
Bengal's most loved and important sea beach. There are more or less tourists here throughout the year. Our current chief minister has decorated this place very well and arranged various stalls where various things are available. Overall nice place for a few days tour.
West Bengal's oldest and cosiest sea - resort. At this time of the year it's very crowded though greatly spruced up and decorated by the Digha Development Authority and the state government. Kudos to both
Good old Digha satisfies all people and all pockets. Come and rejuvenate yourself!
Nice place, safety measures are there take care by the local authorities, police out post is there with police personnel and Civic volunteers, patrolling is done to avoid any incidents
One of the best touring please in WB. BUT my pov it is too crowdy place, if u r only fr staying go to Shankarpur or Tajpur and in evening u hire a car or with ur own car u go and spent few hours in Digha.another point if u are determined to saty in Digha u should stay in New Digha which is just few kilometres of distance from Old Digha. ***Most important thing who have own car and planning for Drive and sightseeing Marine view, u can enter through 14miles (choddho miles) and reach to Shankarpur after visiting Shankarpur u get a bypass through this u directly drive to Digha. (from Tajpur to Shankarpur road ️ is still underwork, ³¹/¹⁰/²⁰²²) Ty all
Sea beach at old digha is beautiful and decorated but looks artificial. Rabindrasangeet is being sung by famous artists in loudspeakers. It would be better if there is limit in volume with intervals to hear the sounds of the sea. I also suggest the songs of Rabindranath Thakur from current singers also.

This was my first visit at Digha. It was 1st November 2022, Tuesday evening. The ambience is very vibrant. Its like some funfair. Music playing loudly over speakers so many places to sit and enjoy the evening. Food stalls, other stalls, everything. Almost clean, some places does have cow dungs but still. Very comfortable walking path. A very nice evening spent there. Parking space available.
Located at old Digha sea beach, Biswa Bangla Park is a recent addition to the area and has the Biswa Bangla theme to it. Biswa Bangla is an MSME enterprise which was established by the West Bengal Government to promote handicrafts and textile from the state of West Bengal. To further the concept, the famous Biswa Bangla icon is installed along with a globe, surrounded by a fountain inside this park.
Calm, Serene, not much crowded.people who like to avoid crowded places, this is the go for them.you can visit lovely beaches, lovely and cute markets, little things of joy to buy. Food is good, local people are quite helping with queries of a tourist.
This place in good to visit. - you can enjoy sea beach - you can eat seafood - lots of ride available here - budget hotels start from 500 - with your driving licence you can get e-bike at old Digha 60 per hour - you can hire car here to visit other places around Digha starting from 200 This is the most popular place in West Bengal.
It is an ok beach. Needs more development. The facilities are not there. Lots of street side see food is available which is not too expensive. Stay in New Digha. Not old Digha
Digha Sea Beach has improved from earlier.less plastics were seen on beach. The beach us very clean with ample sitting area. The water experts are there for any kind of help. There were photographers too. You can capture your memorable moments from them. For any bachelor group drinks are available. The only thing for improvement is beach bike ride.
Very interesting place and most preferable tourist destination. I used to visit here twice in a year. Easy to visit. Has got many transportation options.
This is an amazing spot for short time vacation. A lot of development has occurred. It is now not far behind than Puri beach. I am sure you will love it. The waves got more powerful. The best time to go, I think will be in rainy season. You can see the force of the water and enjoy a lot.
The place is nice. Quant would be the word that comes to the mind. Yet it's not properly developed. The beaches are good but the infrastructure is weak.
After renovation, digha is the most beautiful place with hawkers, sea shells and the lovely sea scenario that will melt and make peace with your body's mind, heart and soul!
Its a weekend destination in West Bengal. It takes 3 hr train journey from Howrah. You can visit by AC bus from Esplanade/Garia. Digha is mainly popular for the sea beach. For accommodation one can stay at new digha or old digha. Distance between both the places is 2 km. To enjoy the beach and water the best is New Digha as in Old Digha you have to wait for low tide. New digha is also near to the railway station. Old digha is best in the evening when high tide comes. You find shop to purchase, places to eat fish at beach and other. In morning you can visit Mohona and evening Udaypur. There are lots of hotels in Digha but in season it is very tough to get a room. One must pre book their hotel prior vising Digha.
Old Digha is good to visit than new digha.it is crowdy many shops are available in old Digha to purchase home decoration products.foods are tasty. There are seating arrangement available to enjoy sea waves. So it is a nice experience to visit Digha.
Good.but the water is not transparent.too much salty. If u r a sea lover then u will not find the pleasure in this beach. One more thing old digha sea beach is far far better than new digha sea beach.
One of the most popular beach of westbengal.well maintained and secured.it's the most popular weekend destination.hotels are available from low mid to high range.
If you are looking for a beach to bathe then New Digha beaches are fav. Old Digha beach is exactly like Marine drive in Mumbai ful of boulders n rocks. People can sit and relax on the concrete pavements watching waves breaking down onto the shore.
