Nice homestay at Jayanti. Food will give you a homely feel. The owner Mr. Pradip, Rajdeep and their staffs are very friendly and helpful.

Very nice homestay, Rooms are to much good then other homestay, people's are too good.

এর অন্যতম জায়গা হলো জয়ন্তী, যার ভৌগলিক অবস্থান দেখলে বোঝা যায় ইহা অত্যন্ত পরিবেশ প্রেমিক অবস্থান।
প্রেম যুগল যেভাবে প্রেমিক প্রেমিকা কে আক্রে ধরে সেভাবেই, ঠিক একপাশে ভুটান একপাশে অসম আটকে রেখেছে।
১) এবার কোথায় এটা? কি করে আসবো?

কাঞ্চন কন্যা এক্সপ্রেস, পদাতিক এক্সপ্রেস ধরলে আপনি আস্তে পারবেন আলিপুরদুয়ারে
এবার এখান থেকে একটি গাড়ি নিয়ে সোজা রওনা দেবেন জয়ন্তীর উদ্দেশে, মাঝে পড়বে এক টা চেক পোস্ট (রাজাভাতখাওয়া) এবার এখনে আপনি ফরেস্ট অনুমোদিত একটি পারমিট করবেন, যার মূল্য ৩০০/-একটি গাড়ি, ১০০/- জন প্রতি, এর বিনিময়ে আপনি ঘুরতে পারবেন ৩দিন ।
১৫ k.m par হবার পরই আসবে জয়ন্তী।এর মাঝে apni মোবাইল নেটয়ার্ক পাবেন না, শুধু ছবি তুলে প্রকৃতির দৃশ্য উপভোগ করতে পারবেন,
এইবার আসুন জয়ন্তী
২) কোথায় থাকবেন?
আপনি আপনার পছন্দমত হোমস্টে বেছে নিন, তবে আগে থেকে বুক করে জাওয়াই ভালো নইলে পছন্দের ঘর পাবেন না।
৩) এবার আসি ঘুরবেন কোথায়?
চুনিয়া ওয়াচ টওয়ার -যা নাকি নদী পেরিয়ে পুরো জঙ্গল এর মধ্যে দিয়ে সাফারি তে নিয়ে যায়।এতে শুধুমাত্র আপনি গাইড চার্জ আর যদি গাড়ি ভাড়া নেন, সেটা দিতে হবে,
চারিদিক সবুজে ঘেরা, সাল ও শেগুন গাছে ভরা জঙ্গল দেখবেন, হটাৎ গাইড বলবে দেখুন সামনে হরিণ, ময়ূর, আর যদি বাবা মহাকালের দর্শন পেলে তো কথাই নেই।তবে প্রায় বাবা মহাকালের দর্শন পাওয়া যায়
এবার আসি,
মহাকালের দিকে,
সতির ৫১ টা পিঠের একটি পিঠ জয়ন্তী, তাই সতিপিঠ ও বলে থাকেন অনকে।
সেখানে গেলে আপনি পুরো তাই নদীর উপর দিয়ে যেতে পারবেন, সেখানে গেলে আপনি পাবেন ঝর্না, চারিদিক ৭ রনগে বেষ্টিত পাহাড়, নীল জল আর সতীর স্তান যা নাকি দেখতে শিভের জটার মত পাহাড়ি গুহা
এবার আসি,
পুখ্রী পাহাড় নিয়ে আলোচনায়
গাড়ি নিয়ে যাবেন, শুরু হয় যাবে সাল সেগুন এর লম্বা লম্বা সারি করে লাগানো গাছ, কিছুদূর গেলেই দেখতে পাবেন আমলকী, পেয়ারা গাছ। হ্যায়, এটা মানুষের জন্য নয়, এটা বনের জন্তুদের ফেভারিট ডিশ।
এবার একটু ট্রেক করবেন, বার বার গাড়ীতে ঘুরছেন, হাঁটবেন ১-k, m পৌঁছে যাবেন একটা হ্রদ এর কাছে।
কি আছে এখানে?
আরে চলুন না,
হ্রদে পৌঁছালে দেখতে পারবেন ১২-১৪ কেজী ওজনের সিং মাগুর মাছ, একসাথে গিজগিজ করছে।চারিদিক ঝি ঝি পোকার ডাক.

Aaltapori Homestay is a small but descent place to stay near Jayanti river and Buxa Tiger Reserve. It can be reached from either Coochbehar or Alipurduar Station. Request the owner to send a car to save you trouble. The homestay is practically inside the reserve but it is not a riverside property. One needs to walk about 2 minutes to reach the river. It is visible from 1st floor veranda, though. There are 3 rooms, all on 1st floor, for guests. First two rooms are spacious and Room 101 has a good view. Room 103, where we stayed, was rather small and had no view and little ventilation. Bathroom was large and modern with geiser, no complaints there. Food was homely and tasty but they should offer a more varied fare. Sometimes, even basic requests for variation were turned down. The owner, Pradip babu is also a registered Jungle guard/guide and he is an able and efficient man. His son Rajdeep is also good and helpful. They have a friendly dog and a few rabbits There is another permanent resident who merits special mention. This is a foot-large Tokay gecko (Takshak) who roams the 1st floor veranda's ceiling and walls at nighttime and apparently, lives there since decades. It seems docile and isn't venomous but if you have small children, you better watch out for the reptile as they may get a sharp bite if they try to touch it or handle it. About sightseeing, the morning safari is absolutely worth it, even if you don't spot a single animal. The jungle seems ethereally beautiful in the morning. The chota mahakal journey is absolutely recommended as well. Other places like pokhri pahar or sikia jhora can be skipped if you are on a tight schedule. Buxa fort is now closed but you can still visit if you want to trek. You can also visit Coochbehar Palace and other nearby attractions which are an hour and half's drive away.

P. S. While at Aaltapori, drink sealed bottled water only. The dog licks the filter's water tap when thirsty. Secondly, carry enough cash as there is no atm in the locality and gpay etc.might not be accepted.

The overall ambience was very good. The quality of food, room services and hospitality of the owners was excellent. Very homely atmosphere.

Food was good, homely atmosphere. House owner himself is guide so arranging tours and jungle safari is not a problem. Though rooms are small and no tv. Room pricing is on the higher side as compared to room size as well as vehicle charges are a bit high. Room is near Jayanti river. Homestay owners are very friendly and their behaviour is very good. Overall 2day stay and tour including choto mohakal, pukri lake, tgn watch tower, bhutia watchtower, chunia watch tower, tea garden, and core jungle safari along with 3 times food and vehicle cost will add up to 10000rs approx for 2 people.

It's a nice homestay which offer homely food. We really loved our stay there. And the Bonos of staying at Aaltapori homestay is they have a cute adorable lab named Veeru! Who is very friendly.the owners are also good plp.overall a thumps up

A perfect mix of homely atmosphere and professionalism when it comes to taking care of guests. The view from the balcony is relaxation to the eyes. If one is looking for undertaking treks nearby Jayanti, Aaltapori Homestay would be a great choice for one's abode. Clean rooms with washrooms equipped with all amenities. Great food. And more importantly, the warmth of the hosts is bound to make one return again.

A sudden plan for Dooars and a more unanticipated introduction to Rajdeep made my trip to Jayanti and Coochbehar a remarkable vacation amidst the green hills and jungles and the symphonies of birds. And of course the warmth of AALTAPORI, kakima, Kaku and last but not the least. Beeru (my daughter's best friend in the trip).

অসাধারণ লোকেশন। রাজদীপভাই ও কাকু- কাকিমার আতিথেয়তা মনে রাখার মতো। তিনদিন ছিলাম একবারও মনে হয়নি বাড়ির বাইরে আছি। সিকিউরিটি নিয়ে কোনো সন্দেহ নেই। খাবারের টেস্ট অসাধারণ। এখানে এলে নেপালি স্টাইলে মোমো খেতে ভুলবেননা।

I have stayed on on 24th September, 2020. My feelings are as follows:
1. Location: Good. 100 m from Jayanti river. From Balcony sunrise will be visible.
2. Accomodation: Clean, homely, fresh. Not sofisticated but fullfil all requirement.
3. Food: Tasty, hygiene, sufficient but to much costly. Need to think about food charges.
4. Behaviour: Excellent, like family. Always available. Timely response with positive note.
5. Covid protocol: Well maintained.
6. Parking: Spacious

Anyone who want to stay safely and in peacefully can try this place.

Suggestion:
1. Slipper for rooms
2. Soap and shampoo (Hardly Rs 10 cost / room)

Lastly but not the least. THE BIRU will be highest attraction.

দুয়ার্সের রাণী জয়ন্তীতে থাকার অন্যতম সেরা ঠিকানা. এখানে পাহাড়ি নদীর মাছ আর মুরগির মাংসের স্বাদ বহুদিন মুখে লেগে থাকবে। রাজদীপ দা আর প্রদীপ বাবুর guidance এ জঙ্গল, স্থানীয় ইতিহাস আর জংলী জানোয়ার দর্শন বাড়তি পাওনা।

Aaltapori homestay took us away from all crowd, chores n pollution. The morning awaked as with chirping of various birds. This homestay gives the triple view (from its verandah) of lofty hills, the beauty of Jayanti river bed & mesmerizing core Jungle. The foods were very very tasty & nicely cooked for toddlers. The kindness of Pradip Kaku, Rajdeep bro is very appreciable. The gifts (they gave) are very remarkable. Want to visit again & again.

An amazing homestay in the most convenient location of Jainty. You can view the lofty Pam Se cliff Nd the running white Jainty river beneath it from just the room window. They have to the point quality service. The food is homely Nd tastes real good. They also arrange for Safari Nd River Treks. Rajdeep, had been a wonderful host Nd friend through out the trip. Do stay at Aaltapori when in Buxa n thank me later.

Best place to stay in buxa tiger reserve and Dey family (owner) is like own family, nice and kind. I recommend this place to visit.

A cosy homestay, in my own words. A clean room and a clean washroom alongwith. Also nice home cooked food alongwith. Pradip babu and his son the source of energy for this home. Just worth 2 days at Jayanti.

প্রকৃতি প্রেমীদের জন্য জয়ন্তী খুবই সুন্দর জায়গা, সঙ্গে "আলতাপরী " ভোজনরসিকদের জন্য উপযুক্ত জায়গা। পরিবারের সকল সদস্যের ব্যবহার ভীষণ ভালো। সব নিয়ে জয়ন্তী আস্তে হলে আলতাপরী হতেপারে আদর্শ গন্তব্য।

It feels like Home, away from home.just the perfect homestay u can think of. They were just perfect in terms of food, washroom, room, clealiness.we went to all the 4 spots and they explain the history and various information about all the spots. If u r planning to visit jayanti, u must stay in this homestay.

The homestay is clean and nice and the staffs are very cordial. One can enjoy the beauty of nature here whole heatedly.forest wildlife rivers etc.the nature view is heavenly. Morning view from the home stay is mesmerizing.it will cherish ones heart. So go and enjoy the beauty of Nature.

Altapari is a nice place to stay at Jayanti. If you want to feel the silence of forest must stay at Altapari and apart from that you will definitely enjoy the food which they will provide. Owner and his family are really very friendly and helpful.
