Best place for adda, coffee or tea, they provide you cigerette too, i love this place, atleast once you should go

I'm a frequent visitor this cafe from its opening day. This cafe has become one of an ideal place to ponder my creative thoughts for hours with good tea (specially second flash "Gopaldhara").

(My observations) since the opening day of the cafe to till now they keep there food and service quality and standard quite same.

They successfully retain most of the same staff since from the 1st day of the cafe.that's why they successfully increase popularity (visitors) without losing standard.

Hope they will keep there good reputation in future also at per.

Though food and service was quite good, they refused to give the discount that is promised when booking is done online. It was clearly mentioned while reservation of the table that 10% off will be given on the bill.

Really good food with enjoyable ambience. Staff behaviour is on the down side. But place is good.

Honey Lemon tea is good, prices are very reasonable, crowd is good, a bit more neat and clean interiors shall be appreciated by all

They don't allow customers for taking a bit long time inside the shop. Insisting for next order after just finishing a dish spoils the mood for sure. May be they are too busy to allow customers to chill at their shop for a bit long. There are many cafes nearby Abar Boithok. So my suggestion is to choose those for disturbance free long chilling session.

LOVED IT.visited once. Eagerly waiting for the next. Nice and Cozy décor.comfy seats.utilization of space done right.lighting was good.ambience was just apt for gossipers. BUT star of night was the FooD. Man.it was great.each n every thing we ordered was simply amazing. From cream of chicken to fettuccine to chicken steak (though it wasn't actually a steak) to brownie with icecream. Each one of them were lipsmacing.couldn't get pork though.and few other items on the menu were unavailable.but it was a great experience. ️️

Visited this cafe recently. Food quality was good and the price was also pocket friendly. Overall nice cafe near South City Mall.

A wonderful cafe situated in Jodhpur park, very near to South City Mall. The staffs are very humble and friendly. I will definitely visit this cafe again!

Delicious food. Excellent ambience. Very much preferable for friendly reunions and romantic dates. The all meat platters, pork meat platters are very famous here. Baked fish in butter lemon sauce, chicken steaks are also mouth watering. Cappuccino and makai bari tea are absolute bliss for anyone. Love spending time here. There are outside sitting arrangements also.

Just love ta place.its ambiance special. Food is also good and prices are moderate. Well behaved staffs.

Overall seating arrangements was average. Service was alright.food is not so special.average taste and quantity.didn't like the quality of fish.

Ambiance and variety of food available is great. Location is lovely. But, i found a little disappointment with my order, that contained bread and butter. Those two bread slices were not fresh at all and tasted sour and chewy. Rest of the menu was perfectly fine.

The ambience with nostalgic glimpse of feluda in each wall will please you definitely. Atmosphere is very cozy and comfortable! They have wooden seating arrangements in first floor and they have smoking zone and another seating arrangements in ground floor as well. Prices are at middle range. Quality and taste of the food is up to mark. We have tried all meat platter and grilled chicken steak. They try to maintain hygienic as well. Stuff are co-operating and well behaved too.

Nice place to work discuss hangout, but during puja they put time limit for tables that generally is the opposite except puja

The ambience of this place is heavenly, if you visit this place then do try their club sandwich and coffee, the food is too good plus the services are really nice.
Additional to that they have smoking zone and seats on the ground floor as well as 1st floor along with the decor and nostalgia theme of feluda.
The cherry on top is you can also buy books and read magazines in the cafe.

A personal favourite among friends, yesterday was unique because my mother had her maiden visit! We were joined by local friends too at 10pm, the 6th day of Durga Puja! The Makaibari tea and thin crust pizza were amazing but adda prevented photos of food this time.

Peaceful environment with an exotic yet cheap menu makes the place a must visit destination in Kolkata. The cafe is heaven for book lovers.

Cream of chicken was delicious.
The thin crust pizza was more like biscuits.very hard to swallow.needed water to gulp.
The chicken platter was okay.could be good for certain taste bud.

I personally felt the siting arrangements uncomfortable esp after a long day.could not relax in those chairs.
Ambience and crowd was good.

The selection of books were good. I bought two books from here.

Makaibari tea is great. Food is decent tried the chili cheese toast, taste was good but portion too small. Good ambience

Extremely poor customer service, badly behaved staff, were forced to sit in a cramped space, Covid norms flouted in the seating arrangement. Have been a loyal customer since it's inception but have sworn never to go back.

Lovely ambience, super friendly staff, decent food. The only thing worth writing about is their selection of teas and the flavor of it. Everything else is a little above average.

Wonderful. Please try chicken and pork platter. Coffee is ok not very good but ok type. Ambience is really good soothing all round

One thing to improve is to control the cigerrate smoke that creeps inside the cafe ambience, which sometimes is a bit of discomfort for some non smokers

I absolutely love this place.cozy, comfortable and friendly staff.the cold coffee, mojito, hot chocolate are refreshing.and I just love their Fish Fingers.chicken omlette is also delicious.and last but not the least brownie with ice cream.yummmm.pocket friendly and delicious.

Cozy, homely and this little gem is so so close to my heart.great staff, ambience and most importantly the price point.

Had heard a lot about this place and read the reviews. But it was a bit of a let down. The ice coffee was almost like sugary syrup. Didn't like it.

Looked pretty cramped but overall a good ambience. The service is real quick even though the number of guests are usually high.

If you want to find coffee with a good book, beside that lovely music, you should come here, it is in south kolkata jodpurpark very near to #the rival fitness studio, this place owned by one of my gym friend, very good place to handout with your friends and loved ones

Unlike others my experience with this place is quite different.yesterday we went to this place.and odered peri peri pizza, 3 types of mojito, chicken sausage and fish finger.trust me the pizza was very below level of average, fish finger was ok, green apple mojito was also good in taste but virgin mojito was too sugary.and lastly one of the staff treated us rudely so here is the 3 star ratting for my abar baithak experience

Rude staff. After your food is over they will walk around near you to give you signal to leave the place unlike other cafe. In cafe you spend money to buy the time. Also they will refuse you even though the upstairs are open. While I found the food is good but behaviour matters. Cafe like wise owl or pancham is much better than abar baithak.

Very nice experience. Food is very good. Staff us very polite and nice ambience for people to sit in a group or alone.

Loved this place and ambience. It was my first visit and I feel in love with the food and the warmth of the place. It is just a common space, a garage which have been converted into a retro house type. Really liked the food that it served. Would love to visit again. No one is at hurry to kick you out if you keep on chit chatting with just a cup of coffee.

Overpriced & crowded. The previous Abar Baithak outlet was way better. The only great think about this place is their staff, very polite & efficient.

It's more of a place to enjoy solitude, the prices could be better (like be best of on the lower side based on their service) but yet ambience is more for a bookish person.

This is an awesome quaint place, to have English breakfast, or catch up with a friend for some tea, or simply to spend the day with your laptop (or a book).
Shanti-da, the manager cum host at the Jodhpur Park outlet, is ever ready to help you and that too with a big smile.

I ordered a veg mashroom & onion pizza, cappuchino coffee & a plate of chicken white sauce penne pasta.so the thing is, those foods were teast so good & when ever i visit there it felt good as the ambience is peachfull. Lastly food quality is as good as the last time!

The place has changed a lot in the past 2-3 years. At one point it was a go to joint for my friend and I. However, the quality of food has gone down from what it was.

The cafe just like all of us has taken a hit after the lockdown and is in need of an upliftment.

I hope the place improves and returns to its old glory days.

The place has a nice ambiance. Price point is in the middle. It was quite crowded on a weekday evening.
We had pork pepperoni pizza. This is a thin crust pizza and it is one of the best pizzas I've ever had (5).
We also tried their chicken salami sandwich. You get two pieces of sandwich with fries and sauce. But it lacked in cheese/mayonnaise (4)

This is an amazing cosy place to hangout with your friends near jodhpur park. The thin crust pizza that we had was just mind-blowing. It is probably the best tasting pizza I have ever had. This is a must visit place.

Extremely cosy and friendly ambience with good food quality. Definitely should try their range of salads. Good place to hang out with friends. Quite reasonably priced menu. Would recommend this place to everyone having a thing for cafes and good surrounding. Easy to locate and in the heart of Jodhpur Park.

If not at home or college, you'll find me here with my people! I have a pseudo love adore relation with this place that no matter where I go, I return to its cozy and adpated arms!

Loved the ambience and feel of the place. But nothing compared to the food. It was filling, mouth watering and value for money.
