Amairah Homestay

It's a nice place, so near to the Kurseong town but still has natural setup. The property is surrounded by tea gardens. The hosts are very cordial and food is also good. We really enjoyed a lot there.

It was totally a great experience that I had. The view is amazing, tea gardens in front is so beautiful. We explored the tea garden also. The owner and the whole family is so welcoming. They serves tasty foods too. Loved so much

We stayed there for one night on our way to Darjeeling.
Will say that it is an average homestay with some pros and cons

Pros -
1.owner Nimish is a real gentle man and is very friendly. We had good time talking to him. He arranged everything for our side seeing
2. Food given was very very tasty. Perfect for cold rainy weather. It was home cooked food, not spicy but amazingly delicious.
3. Location is good. Surrounded by tea gardens

Cons:
1 rooms are very small, balcony is just enough for standing
2. I am extremely unhappy about the food services. There is only one table and one by one groups were eating. We were extremely tired by day long journey, my kid was tired, sleepy, hungry. It was very difficult to wait till 10.30 to get dinner! (time given was 9-9.30 so we did not make any request to give food early)

I would like to request Mr Nimish to resolve this issue.

On my first visit to Kurseong, we have stayed over here and have a wonderful experience. Though this is my husband's second visit and he recommends this place to everyone. We have stayed at the same room where he stayed last time.

From each and every room you will be able to enjoy the scenic beauty of the nature. And if you are lucky enough then from your balcony only you will able to observe the mighty sleeping Buddha.

The best part of a Home stay is to have a cozy homely atmosphere away from home with some delicious home cooked meals.

Last but not the least, the polite behaviour and always ready to help attitude of the owner Nimesh ji and his family is REALLY remarkable. Special thanks to Jasinta for being always available.

️ WARNING FOR CHAOTIC AND OVER EXCITED PEOPLE, WHO CARE ABOUT ONLY PARTYING:
You will find peace here, unlike other chaotic places uptown. Because of some on point rules like, no alcohol, no high music or no loud chatter the place is about to give you calmness infused stay. Some demonic tourists (note: jhal muri party) who only care about getting drunk at the hills (or any destination to be honest) and show indiscipline toxic behaviour, please stay away.

Can't understand where to start to describe Amairah's home! One can enjoy the green lustre of the tea garden around the homestay, majestic view of Kanchanjangha from the bed (if weather permits), home made sumptuous food, cordial behaviour of Mr. & Mrs. Rai. We thoroughly enjoyed our two days stay in Amairah's Home in every aspect. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for a quite and pleasant stay this might be your destiny. I stayed for 2 days with my family. My experience was awesome. The owner Nimesh Ji is so kind and helpful i can give 11 rating out of 10 for the hospitality. The food was very tasty.
The view from the room was splendid.kangchenjunga can be seen from every room.

My 1st experience in a homestay. It has a good location in between 2 tea gardens and looking at the Kurseong town which is very close. Not all the rooms are spacious and have good view. Their service and hospitality is too good. You can stay for a peaceful 2 days.

This is not the place for the nature lover or people who runs from busy city life to enjoy fresh air in lap of forest. It's situated on one of the busy road in kurseong. But I got a room with view of our lovely Kanchenjunga. Only plus point. The attach video is from our room balcony. Room n bathroom is small. No offence.

If want to stay at home stay. Rest of the best place. Amazing hospitality beyond the expectations, if you have newly parents grown up with ur baby. You just blindly staying here,

Stayed here for 2 nights mid-Oct'22 in the first floor corner room.
Location:
About 1km inside Pankhabari Road from the Rohini Road crossing (Siliguri-Darjeeling road), walkable distance though congested with some traffic.
Locality of the homestay is quiet, just beside a tea garden. Views from the room balcony is excellent. Clear views of Kanchendzonga from the room balcony.
Pros:
* Very good hospitality, the young owner Mr Nimish Rai is friendly and caring. He made sure I got a share cab from front of the homestay. Even after I left, he called me to make sure I had reached my next destination safely. He gives you privacy, but is available for a good conversation. He gives good advice on how to cover the various tourist spots nearby.
* Room and bathroom is very clean, bed is comfortable, fittings work perfectly.
* Quality of food is very good, different variety served daily. Cooking is homely yet very tasty.
Cons:
* No tv, though I personally don't require but families may need it.
* Evening snacks was very light, just a slice of Britannia cake and a few wafers. Should have been a bit more substantial.
Overall:
Excellent place to stay a couple of days. Highly recommended!

It is located just beside a tea garden, also near Kurseong station. The host family is awesome. It was interesting to know that both of our daughters are a namesake! The view from the balcony is great. You can see Kurseong city at one side, the valley at the other side. If you are lucky enough, there will be no clouds, and the glittering Kanchanjanga will reflect the sunlight in the early morning before the sun is visible to you. You will be served morning tea at the same time. This is the magic moment. You will be mesmerized for sure.

আমি ও আমার বন্ধুরা দুইদিন এই Homestay তে রাত কাটানোর সুযোগ পেয়েছি। তাদের আতিথেয়তা আমাদের সত্যি মুগ্ধ করেছে। খাবারের quality সত্যি খুব ভালো ছিল, আমরা যা আনন্দ করেছি এই জায়গাটায় থেকে তা আরও শতগুণ বেরে গেছে।
Homestay র balcony থেকে যে অনিন্দ্য সুন্দর দৃশ্য উপভোগ করা যায় সেটা আপনাকে মুগ্ধ করবে, আমি নিশ্চিত।

Amairah's Homestay is perfect in every sense. The food that one gets in here is home-like and delicious. Hospitality of the host is remarkable. And last but not the least, the view from the rooms especially the corner one would literally make you feel like you are in the lap of mountains and kissed by clouds every now and then.

Almost one km away from the market place. This is more of a rented house than a homestay, bcoz there is no space outside the rooms. The rooms are good and well kept. Washroom is very good. The view from the balcony is awesome. The big plus is the the behaviour of the owner.

Owner Nimesh ji & his family are like your relative. It's difficult to forget them. You can see vast tea garden from balcony. You can also see kanchenjungha if weather is clear. There is no word about food and service, it's superb. Try to visit again and again.

In one word Excellent. One must stay atleast 2days and the food quality nothing to say Excellent and superb. Nimesh ji is very humble and decent person. Must say Mrs. Rai is an excellent chief‍. Little Amairah is very very very sweet and adorable? Totally homely feeling.

The host is very good person.husband, wife both are very caring. The scenic beauty around the homestay is mesmerizing. I will definitely come here again and again. If you are a mountain lover just come here and sit in the room or walk around and enjoy the beauty.

I booked Amairah homestay from 15th to 17th april after learning great reviews about it. Mr Rai said his relatives home stay Samriddhi is vacant and we can stay there for a day as Amairah was booked on 15th and later shift to Amairah. I agreed and sent him the booking amount. However i had to cancel my booking on 10th.due to heavy rain in the moutains during that time, as i have 2 year old kid and old parents with me I requested Mr Rai kindly deduct the cancellation charges n refund the rest of the amount. He refused to refund even a penny saying my reasons are quite silly to cancel the trip and also it would become more ugly if i ata ll argue with him further. He said he has given the money to his neighbour (samriddhi) owner and the guy is refusing to give the money back.i reminded Mr. Rai of the hospitality norms, and a procedure but it seemed he just wanted to keep my money.

We generally book places believing at the reviews. However this can also happen. I learnt.

The host is a very nice person and took very good care of us. The scenic beauty around the home stay amazed me a lot.
I will suggest every one who loves mountains, to give a visit in the homestay.

Exceptional homestay in one word! We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed some warm treatment meted out to us.
Situated on the city outskirts overlooking a tea garden, the homestay rendered us a cozy stay with sumptuous food, comfortable room, over and above, the warmth of hospitality like none other.

Amazing stay for two nights as guest of the family of Shri Nimesh Rai, a highly educated thorough gentleman. The property is located just outside the town surrounded by green tea gardens. Rooms are clean and nicely maintained with sence of delicacy. Food was excellent.

A great place to spend time in Kurseong. Visited it for the second time. The Hosts were amazing Nimish Bhai and Mridula. The cooking is awesome. You'll appreciate each and every meal Trust me on this one. It's just a few mins walk from the Main market and station, but it's quite and cosy in it's own self.

Very good experience of staying over here for one night. Location is about 1 km from Kurseoung rail station. The view from the room is just amazing. Taste of food is very delicious. The owner of this homestay is a very gentle, polite and nice person. You will feel like your home. But the main thing of this homestay is that you have to be punctual on time. The Owner of the homestay, Nimesh ji is an excellent person, very genuine and helpful human being. He helped us a lot during our whole tour, starting from the tour scheduling, finding a well equipped driver and last but not the least providing very very delicious foods in a very cheap price. Best homestay I have ever stayed. Beautiful location just in the middle of city but very close to nature. View from the window and balcony is just awesome. Rooms are very very clean and well decorated. There is a separate dining drawing room where you can enjoy T. V just like your home.

Nimesh is the owner of this homestay and he was extremely courteous and helpful. The stay was awesome and the rooms were nice, clean and beautifully decorated.

Kanchenjunga can be viewed from from some rooms in winter season when the sky is clear. Roim heater is unavailable. Quality of food is good.

Cheaters! Booked amairah but at the last moment they changed our booking to a different homestay in another part of Kurseong which didn't have proper aminities.

This is the home stay where city dwellers can spend their 2-3nights in the peaceful environment of tea garden. The host Mr.and Mrs Nimesh Rai are a very warm hearted gentle couple. The added advantage of this home stay is just 10minuts walk from the railway station of Kurseong from where one can enjoy the toy train.

Owners name is nimesh rai, its in kursiang, behavior of this man is awesome, good cultural behaviour, food quality is also good, rooms are well decorated, cozy, tea garden view also fine, dinning are is separated, well served, tasty food, and also reasonable price, total 3tea garden around hear, only problem is this home situated just beside of road, so quite crowded, and vehicles sounds thats may be disturbing for sometimes.

Awesome location. In seasons Mirik, Kangchendzonga all are viewable for the balcony of the rooms. The welcome is warm, excellent food. Everything is just perfect. Highly recommended.
