Aminia Restaurant - Behala

The ambience is "ok" and the food is also "ok". Had ordered sahi chicken kebab as starter and it was good. However, in main course I wanted something light and ordered Naan, boneless kadai chicken which was not as tasty/good as it is touted for.overall a satisfactory experience

Built a restaurant worth crores but could not make a separate washroom for female and male.

I am sorry but I am not impressed with the taste of the Chicken Biriyani, AVERAGE.

May be its due to Pujo rush time, but the taste compared to the price is not at all worth it.

With Chicken Biriyani, there is no egg, no salade, no raita.
But the Price is SO HIGH!

This place needs no introduction. Located in a prime area of taratala, it provides valet parking which is a big plus point since finding parking on D. H Road can be difficult. The ambience gives a shahi-but-modern vibe which goes well with the mughal food that the restaurant serves. The food here is delicious especially the mutton biriyani which has rewaji mutton pieces. Despite being masaledar mughal food, it does not feel very heavy while eating unlike some other places. Coming to service, it has room for improvement. The service is slow and servers had to be reminded of orders. Also we had to ask for cutlery. Overall this place is worth a visit especially if you are a fan of biriyani or the Aminia special.

2. Fish tikka masala
3. Tandoori roti
4. Special mutton biriyani, kolkata style
5. Salad
6. Firni

Place is good with a well atmosphere and food is also delicious. Price is a bit high but the taste of food deserves it.

The taste of the food was remarkable. The Paratha quality needs to be improved a little and very hard to eat. Most items were not available like Galouti Kabab, Chicken Rezala. Rest all was good. Staff were nice & enthusiastic.

Mutton Biryani is good in taste. Mutton was soft and tender, rice is not very dry. We didn't require any additional side gravy dish. Ambience is good. Tried mojito mocktail, was good in taste. Prices are high. Parking was available.

Everyone knows about this place one of the most oldest. They started their franchise at Behala before 5 years. They maintained their quality.

I would rate it at par with Arsalan in Behala for Biryani. Good taste but lacks in variety. Should try to fit in a few more items to give customers options to chose from. (Variety not necessarily include Chinese cuisine)

Oh nice restaurant. I bought a lot of food from that restaurant. The restaurant is all good but one thing is bad, the sauce gives less to eat.

Special Chicken Biryani: Special Chicken Biryani comes with two lavish piece of chicken, rice enough for 2 and 2 luscious pieces of potatoes (our favourite ‘aloo’).

Nothing much to say, my all time dine-in as well as take away shop, as I live within 800m radius.
And for food quality I guess it doesn't need any extra comments. Always good.

A wonderful place to dine in with friends, family. Easily accessible via auto, bus, car etc. Environment is quite good but you can't avoid the crowd noise during pick time. Servicing is a bit slow but overall is good. Staffs are also cooperative and patient. Among food you must try Biryanis because Aminia is famous for its Biryani only. You will get a wonderful experience, believe me. Every penny on the Biryani will be of worth. Rest Kababs are also an attractive option here. A must go whoever you are if you are in Kolkata.

Food was good and staffs too were well mannered. You can comfortably dine with your friends and families. You can be a frequent visitor there if it satisfies your taste bud.

Always a nice experience there. Specially the Jamai Sasti jumbo thali.missed this thali due to lockdown during last 2 years.

Service were not upto the mark. The menu is boring and really not exciting thing to discover.

But there staff are really good and caring about you situation.

This is not just the option to go for now. The chicken we ordered was very basic. The curry was aost only sauce and only a few small pieces of chicken. It's was not the most worth it experience. Although the staff and service was good and appreciable

Very good quality food. Chicken biriyani and banarasi dum aloo were too good.
Sunday lunch time seems quite popular for families.
Overall seating arrangement was good, neat and no fuss. Pricing is not bad, 1 plate biriyani is about 200 excluding taxes.

Low standard experience, staffs lacks basic communication and interaction skills. I had actually had heard that this place was really good but actually was very disappointed.

This Aminia branch is situated near taratala.
The food quality and quantity is good enough.
Mutton Biryani- the rice is well cooked, they can surely work on the aloo they provide. Mutton is big enough and tender.
Also their Naan and tandoori chicken is awesome.
Chicken bharta is also a must try.

So last couple of days back, I have had there chicken biriyani and mutton handi for myself.along with the phirni as well! All the foods are very delicious and tasty.as like always! So I must recomend to all the people out there do visit this place once and have a mouthwatering and delicious experience ahead!

Given the light of the current circumstances, ordering in from this place is the best course of action, and I did just the same! Some of the orders I received include:

Special Chicken Biryani: This comes with two generous pieces of Chicken (a leg piece included), two lovely Potatoes (Aloo as the Bengali call it), and rice portion pretty much enough for two people.

Chicken Handi: Semi-shredded Chicken pieces in a rich red gravy, giving it all the thrills, and a flavour that compliments rich Indian delicacies and Breads.

Butter Naan: Soft Indian Breads, that still retain texture inspite of being cold, and a little heating and bring back just the right moisture before a fine chew.

Firni: My absolute favourite among everything, with a shiny yellow texture and a meltful glimmery essence this steals your heart. It melts absolutely into the mouth, and is easily one of the best Firnis I've tried.

Chicken Handi: One of the most popular Indian delicacy, Chicken Handi comes with bits of chicken in a rich gravy. Handi is a Hindi word for an earthen pot and the traditional recipe is still made in an earthen pot and is slow-cooked in tandoor which actually brings out the flavour. It goes well with either rice or roti, I chose Butter Naan to accompany the Handi.

Phirni: Aminia serves one of the best Phirni in Kolkata, period. The beautifulcreamy, rich and thick texture which melts in your mouth just like that. The flavour of the Phirni is enough to make you fall in love with it.

I went to aminia Behala with my friends for my birthday treat. Since everyone of them is a biryani freak I ordered aminia special biryani for all of them. They were around 20 of them and the bill was a bit more than I expected but it was all worth it, every penny of it!

One of the best restaurants in Kolkata for mughlai cuisine, renowned for its biryanis & kebabs. Though their price of food is very high, but tasty, quality food always attracts me.

One of the very popular places in Kolkata, famous for biryani. The experience was quite good. The biryani was heavenly as usual. The chicken chnap was really pleasing, the aroma and taste of it was really intriguing. Chicken handi was also mention able. Firni was good as usual. The interiors and lighting was moderate and hospitality was fair enough.

Went on 22nd Aug, 2019 for lunch, with a friend. Ordered chicken biriyani, chicken rezala and butter naan and firni. Except firni all the food was not good at all in quantity and quality wise. The pieces of chicken was just horrible. According to the price tag the food was not upto the mark.

Aminia means BIRYANI! Fantastic delicious biryani. I prefer the special mutton. The mutton is so soft and well cooked that you will keep on ordering! H

Experience was good. Ambience and the food was good.only thing is in chicken Biryani d size of the chicken is small.

We ordered Special Mutton Biryani and Tandoori Chicken and Fresh Lime Soda. Each dish was perfection in its true sense. The Biryani is for 2 people, with tender juicy mutton, egg and potato. The rice was not oily so that's always good. The chicken tandoori had a crispy exterior which I never see even in much more expensive places, tasty as hell! The ambiance is modern and quiet and the staff is attentive and polite. Will definitely come back here for more!

Well located. Food is good. Typical Kolkata Mughlai dishes. Biriyani, kababs, firni, paranthas, tandoori items, etc. Take away counter also available. Seating area on first floor has nice decor. Recurrent theme of a dancing dervish on platters, on walls and mirrors.

The taste of biriyani is kinda awful.as it had many lumps in it.less salt but it's fine.but the cost is too high than others

Ordered Chicken Biriyani and Reshmi Kabab Butter Masala. The food tasted bland, the chicken piece was full of bones. It was pretty hard finding chicken in it. Overall, totally disappointed.

Best restaurant for your lovely food. They made various types of foods with great quality and taste. You can order food from this restaurant by swiggy and Zomato and Uber eats. This restaurant located near the road side.

Prices have been increased in the sense quantity is reduced. Parking is a problem. Better rates are provided by private delivery companies. No such discount is available on personal take away. There is a huge delay in getting food take away.

A really good choice for a family meal. The quality of biryani has improved significantly. Be sure to try the Aminia Special, its good.

The food is average and the waiters we're in a hurry they were literally waiting for us to finish our food so that they can take the plates away, we were a group of 9 people and they were hovering around our table as soon as the plates were empty they came and asked if they can take the plates away not a very good experience though.

Over all good but i am pay to dineout & 15% discount aminia dont count due to i am not booking at telephone.

One of the many worth mentioning destinations for Mughlai cuisines. They serve good, tasty and also pocket friendly meals.

Called after 90 mins of booking an order to inform one that the ordered food is not available and that is also at 10: 42 pm, when no other restaurant is open, or no swiggy available for another order

On 3.5.19 I had been there for lunch. I ordered Biriani & coolfi. The waiter served Biriani but astonishingly he failed to provide coolfi, despite taking order. Venue: Behala outlet.

Yesterday I ordered tangri butter masala.the food was 3rd class and costly.the chicken served was stale and not price worthy. Its a disgrace that resturant like aminia is serviving stale and 3rd class food.

Ambiances was good, service was good, but the food quality was poor, we had mutton biryani, and the pieces were all fat and bone, rice was far to little, the alloo was so big that is covered the whole plate. Very sad i had to experience this. Thank you.

I had Chicken Achari Tikka (260), Mutton Tawa Masala (210), Mutton Hyderabadi Biryani (260), Garlic Naan (70). Achari Tikka, Mutton Tawa Masala & Garlic Naan is awesome, Biryani could have been better. All together it costed around 900.
Courteous staff, quick service, nice ambience makes one to visit this eatery again & again.
