The food was fresh and tasty at around 2.30 am.the service was good.would love to go back again.

Good food, homely atmosphere, clean place. There is an air conditioned section too. They have a Hussain painting, done directly on the wall, by the late artist, signed and dated.

Back in the pre-zomato, pre-swiggy days, this was THE original place for the late night hungry. A true place that lights up the quiet side of Ballygunge that's half military and half civilian. Excellent kitchen and service of the highest order. It strikes the perfect balance between the authentic Punjabi ambience and the cosmopolitan atmosphere.

The food is simple. They cheat customers.
But be careful, They will trick you with drinks.
They said they are giving lime soda, and it was that. And In BILL they wrote mocktail which is costlier, they cheat customers.

I loved the delicious food which we had ordered. Soft and tender butter naan, butter chicken & tarka with onion salad. I would love to visit this Dhaba again with my friends and family.

We have visited 2nd Oct'2023 Azad Hind Dhaba, Ballygunge Circular road. Indian Dishes Like Dal Makhni, Chicken Bharta, Paneer Butter Masala were delicious. Food - out of 5 Azad Hind should get 4.5. Only thing need to improve the Interior Decor and Hygienic services. Specially the Toilets / Washroom etc. Car parking is available and staff behaviour are very good.

This dhaba is my favourite hangout since past 20years plus.

Never fails. They invented the Chicken Bharta this city is famous for. And the spice Dal is another level.

Always keep coming back for more.

Non Veg dishes are spicy and very tasty. I have a very good experience there and I recommend to try at least once….

Very bad food. Taste very bad, excesive oil used in food, and bad oil. After food end 2 spoon oil in container.

Very very satisfying. All Stuff are awasome. Open till 1.00 am. So if u decide to dnnr on night out the. Must visit.

Their 'Aloo do pyaza' and 'special dal tarka' is a must try! Sevice is fabulous and the staffs are very friendly

Poor service and overcharged food items. Even charging extra than MRP on kinley water bottle plus added on GST. Staff is rude so need to give any tip. Very poor quality and quantity of food. Never waste your money and time by going to this chain of dhabas. You will be cheated surely.

We visited this place on 12th October during Durga Pujo The food was good. Only very congested place and the service needs to be improved.

Before lockdown the tastes of dishes were much better. Tried it on September 2021 didn't like it so much. It was good but not the same taste as it was before. Price wise it's still reasonable for a hearty meal. Nd yes the chicken roll and their tea are awesome still now. Service is fast and ambience is not so great.

Quality gone down it's like a wave sometimes it's on a high and sometimes on a mouth burning low and also pocket burning

It's been the worst experience ordering from this restaurant! I ordered Malai kofta for my mom who is a complete vegetarian, instead they have served chicken!
I never expected this pathetic service from them! I would request everyone to think twice before ordering anything from here

It's a ok types place, nothing great. Prices are high and there are special higher rates during festive times like new years

Whatever iv eaten mostly rolls ofcourse were good.only issue they do not wear gloves while serving.in this pandemic I think they need to follow the best possible recourse.

It's a best restaurant for non veg and veg lovers in ballygunge area. We ordered chicken tikka seekh kabab masala which was delicious and we rarely find it another restaurant. We would love to visit again and recomend others to visit.

This is a place I always land up post clubbing for late dinner whenever in Kolkata. The signature dish is Chicken Bharta and should be tried at all cost. The quantity is sufficient to be shared between 2 person while I prefer to eat it alone. You can have Rumali roti.

There are other specialities as well which you can try out. For vegetarians the choices are limited by Dal fry is too good. The service is prompt and the waiters always cheerful and warm. Pls do tip them if possible

Post dinner you can try out the pan shop located outside. If you drive in then you can ask for your food delivered in your car too. That is not a bad idea in times of the pandemic

Today I have ordered sarson da saak and makki di roti through zomato. The makki di roti was so hard that it appeared to be made of metal. Sarson da saak had no taste or smell of sarson saak. Not able to recognize the base saak. Totally disappointed.

Good restaurants to have dhaba food but the service is not up to the mark. Atmosphere is great. Good place to have a meal. It's a family restaurant with a top notch taste. I'll definitely come over and over.

Its a small and good dhaba. No fancy cutlery. But simple and delicious (to our buds) food. We had ordered paneer tikka - which today was little too hard, but their mint chutney compensates for it. Sarson saag and makai roti were good. Jaggery isn't however available with these in this part of the world. The malai kofta was fone too. The masala kucha thin and crisp. Liked it overall.

Food is not like before, tandoori chicken was very dry roasted. Tast was not so good. I feel not value for money.

Its a good place to have a dhaba food. Best Indian food. North indian food. Its in ballygunj circular road and its always full with people. The best thing is that people have food in there car have a big adda. The food quality and quantity is good but its back draw is that most of yhe time they dnt have half of their menu. And the food is bit spicy if you dnt have like spicy food you must say them before hand at the time of placing the order not to give chili not to make it spicy. The food is good.

Horrible half cooked Chicken malai kebabs, was regular for past 15 years but unexpected from Azad Hind

The food was good, a little more imprudent I would suggest would be staff management, other than that, everything was great.

One of the oldest late night food joints of Kolkata. Dhaba style food.cheap.good in taste.but there is a long wait.almost everytime.the best dishes are chicken bharta, dopiyaza, mutton liver curry.masala cold drinks also good.also the koolfi faluda is excellent.

The quality of food has declined. I have been a customer for 3 decades, and have been saddened by this gradual decline in quality. But it is still half decent.

Kolkatas classic midnight joint, still almost the same vibes and tastes, but now losing favour a bit amongst the millennials, tad expensive for a dhaba too, advice: check bills properly

This Dhaba I have been visiting since my childhood. It has that nostalgia brownie points. The staffs here are extremely fast and the food tastes fab. Though, I heard they use dalda but the taste is stellar.

My favourite here are:
1) chicken Reshmi kebab
2) chicken Reshmi butter masala
3) paneer butter masala
4) special dal tadka without chilli
5) tandoori crispy roti

The ambience is below average. The place has foul smell all around. Good for non- vegetarian. Comparatively low options for veg goers. Parking space is good

Excellent food. Tasty classy mughlai cuisine. Located centrally in Ballygunj, south Kolkata on Gurusaday- Ballygunj circular road. Rather than sit and eat, it's famous for it's takeaway. The Dal tadka, roomali, tandoori chicken are staple and awesome. Besides there is a plethora of tandoori dishes and tikkas. It's extremely pocket friendly coming to realise that the quality of grub is so good. All in the vicinity of South Kolkata, if they haven't tried are missing something

This is the first place where I saw biryani without raita and as a biryani lover this was really disappointing. I had to order raita separately. The taste was good so one star more.
