Nice place. Nice environment. Couple friendly. Family friendly. Pocket friendly. Foods are awesome.

This is a franchisee outlet of Banana Leaf near the Garia/Panchasayar area. As usual food at Banana Leaf is always good. However, this outlet, being a small one does not have all the options available like South Indian meals etc. Service is fast and the place is usually kept neat.

Very bad interaction with the people and not helped them for the reason he/she came in case emergency condition. Such a bad experience when I come first.

Food is avarage.the place can be more clean.price is reasonable.sitting area is too small you need to hold the plate and eat.overall ok

Very tasty dosas dosa may not be crispy but they are good. Sambhar is very good. Vada is tasty but small in size. Very much economical. Dosa idli are very cheap.

If I had a Minus 10 option I would have given that. The Dosas aren't crisp. The Sambhar is one of the worst in Kolkata. The Idli is too salty and i simply put the Vada in dustbin after having a single bite.

I had ordered all of these in Zomato and instructed in the instruction box to the restaurant to give the masala separately as the dosas will become soggy. The restaurant accepted the instructions and then simply ignored it and provided me with wet dosa with fillings inside. Will never ever recommend this outlet to anyone.

I want to rate them minus -50, if I had the option to. Both the restaurant and Zomato, doesn’t even want to take feedback against the horrible food this restaurant makes.
Plus they call their items special and overprice them. Food is made with zero salt and sent cold and lumpy. Pls do not make the mistake of ordering from this restaurant. There are much better places, like Banana Leaf Komala Vilas who are known to make good south Indian food, consistently. I have never had a problem with them. PLS DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF EITHER VISITING BABA LOKENATH SOUTH INDIAN FOOD- OR PLACING AN ORDER VIA SWIGGY/ZOMATO. Their food and behaviour is outrightly the worst ever!

How did this place got a rating of 4.2 I don't know. If you want to waste your money and taste some horrible food you can order from here. The plain dosa was stiff with weird smell of oil chutney was saline water overall i regret wasting my 94 rupees on this. Why are they fooling people and giving this horrible food!

I ordered masala dosa and idli today through swiggy
Their idli was too sour
The dosas were hard to tear and masala and sambar were too hot full of red chilly powder.
It is not only about losing money but will badly affect health too

Just ordered mandala dosa and dahi bara, good quality and good taste. I prefer this road side stall that BANANA leaf

I had placed an order via zomato today. It included upma, sada vada and idli. We were planning to have the upma for our breakfast. However the upma was full of oil and had the nasty oil smell after consuming which we were feeling unwell. Thereafter we contacted the restaurant so that we could convey the feedback to them. However the person in charge there was utterly atrocious in his behaviour. He clearly refused and alleged that we are telling lies for refund whereas we had this genuine feedback for a single item of the order and not the entire order. He was violent in his behaviour and blamed us like anything. He even said that he didnt care whether we are able tk have our food or not. This kind of behaviour was totally unacceptable and shocking. Request everyone intending to order stay alert from such a place where such kind of treatment is given to the customers.

Food quality is very good but little bit costly as per street vendor south Indian food price.

Reasonable price of South indian food.quick service.little seating arrangements.food quality is ok.not so high not so bad.

If you love South Indian no nonsense food.this is the place to visit again and again.
Take-away mode best.
Fresh and soft idlis were a delight for me everytime.
Try it out to believe.
Ignore the locale.

Good food at cheap price! Vada was the downfall. Idli was nice, soft and big! Very mouth full. Sambar was tasty, chutney was spicy which I felt was nice too. Overall I would give 3 out of 5 for taste.

Ordered Cheese Masala Dosa for breakfast, have to admit their packaging was great and that too in pocket a pocket friendly way. The best deal you can get at this price point.

This is an issue from an order from Zomato

The preparation of dosa was good and fine. BUT, I had a different experience with the owner of the shop! I usually order dosa from their shop and they prepare dosa good and fine. They usually give sambar and chutney in less quantity (portion wise). So, today I ordered 11 dosas and added an instruction, asking them to give give more sambhar and chutney (in appropriate amount for 11 people), or else the the amount will not be feasible for 11 people. Later on, the owner of the shop called me up and said me that if I need extra sambhar and chutney, I should pay more (even though, I should get my portion's chutney and sambar). He said me that if I apply pro, it's my fault to get food for discounted price. They will give food accordingly with the price. He even said customers like me pay less and demand for more! Listening to him made me feel like he was angry at me and impulsive and very much short tempered. Now, what is my fault if I buy pro membership and apply discount accordingly? There are many restaurants, which don't offer Pro discounts to customers. Why don't they opt out from providing discount for the customer. Very much disappointed with their service. Not going to order from this shop very soon! Very much dissatisfied with their services!

Test of food is really good but this place is not hygienic.every sunday i go there to test south Indian flavor.normally i use to order for home delivery.you can order any south indian dish.call them for home delivery and ph no is in the right top corner of there sign board.i think you should tey at least once then decide.it is absolutely pocket friendly.
