Bakreshwar Hot Spring

Hindu pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Shiva. Easy to offer Puja. Enough parking space available.

You must visit here in winter season.
But priest's behaviour in temple is worst.

Though the temple was good. But except that the hotspring was disappointing as there was nothing to explore. One negative point of this place is that pandits disturbs a lot and doesnt let you stay or visit temple peacefully. Also good restaurants are hardly found nearby.

Location just like " Om Shanti". Bt yes, please be ready to bargain with purohits, they demand more and more for puja

There are seven natural warm springs here.
And a hot spring has been made suitable for bathing, But it's not very clear that the authorities should monitor it more closely so that no one can get dirty here.

Good place to see nuture beauty. It gives you ultimate pleasure. Winter is best season to visit. Oct to Feb is the best.

সিউড়ি রেল স্টেশন নেমে (সকাল 6: 30 Am) টোটো ধরলাম । টোটো আমাদের কে বাসস্ট্যান্ড পৌঁছে দিলো (ভাড়া 10 টাকা জন প্রতি) । আর ঠিক তখনই সেখান থেকে বক্রেশ্বর এর বাস ছাড়ছিল । আমরাও উঠে পড়লাম । ভাড়া 15 টাকা বা 20 টাকা । তবে যতটুকু খবর নিলাম তাতে জানলাম যে 30 মিনিট ছাড়া ছাড়া বক্রেশ্বর এর বাস । সময় লাগে 50 মিনিট মত । আর ওই বাস না পেলে ওই দিকের যেকোনও বাসে চন্দ্রপুর বাস স্টপ (chandrapur Bus Stop) নেমে অনেক গাড়ি পাওয়া যায় । চন্দ্রপুর বাস স্টপ হল জংশন, অনেক রুটের বাস এখানে আসে ।
যাই হোক নেমে কন্ডাক্টার দাদার দেখানো পথে এগিয়ে চললাম উষ্ণপ্রশ্রবন এর দিকে । 2 মিনিট হাঁটার পর গেটের দেখা পেলাম । আর 5 টাকা করে টিকিট কেটে পৌঁছে গেলাম ভিতরে । সেখানে দুটি জলাধার করা আছে স্নানের জন্য । একটিতে ছেলেরা ও অন্যটিতে মেয়েরা স্নান করতে পারে । আমি নেমে পড়লাম গরম জলে । বাইরে তখন মোটামুটি ঠান্ডা কিন্তু জল তখন প্রচুর গরম । আর সুন্দর গরম আরামদায়ক জলে হুটোপুটি । আর সে উঠতেই চায় না । আমি ও তাই । শরীর থেকে সমস্ত ক্লান্তি যেন টেনে নিচ্ছিল । কিন্তু আমাদের আজকের প্রোগ্রাম ঠাসা । তাই উঠে আসতেই হল ।
তারপর বাকিরাও স্নান করে এসে চললাম মন্দিরে পূজা দিতে । খুবই সুন্দর করে আমাদের পূজা করিয়ে দিলেন । বাবা বক্রেশ্বর এর মাথায় উষ্ণপ্রশ্রবন এর জল ঢেলে নিজে হাতে ফুল বেলপাতা দিয়ে পূজা করলাম । তারপর অন্যতম সতীপীঠ মা মহিষমর্দিনীর পূজা ও খুবই ভক্তি ভরে পূজা করে, পাশেই রাখা গনেশ ঠাকুরের মন্দির ও দর্শন করলাম ।

Kreswar is a great pilgrimage in the district of Birbhum. The village is located 18 kms South West of Suri about 6 miles to the northwest of Dubrajpur railway station on the ndal- sainthia railway section of the Eastern Railway The word Bakreshwar comes from the name of Lord Shiva. 2 Bakra means bent or curved Ishwar means God. 3 has a rich cultural heritage and a glorious past. It is a “Non-Vedic beliefs and practices that emphasized the existence in man of divine powers that could be activated and experienced by means of special spiritual procedures. ”According to the Hindu mythology When Sati, the wife of Shiva and the first incarnation of Parvati, Sacrificed herself at a yagna performed by her father King Daksha; a very distraught Shiva started dancing with her body. The world was terrorized from this Tandava Nritya and to stop the devastating penance, Vishnu used his Sudarshan Chakra and completely cut up Sati's Body in several pieces. Wherever a piece of the Divine Mother‟s body fell on earth, that place became a Shakti Pitha a temple was erected to commemorate different manifestations of Shiva and Parvati and became a Hindu pilgrimage. The are scattered from present day Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Bakreswar is among the 51 Shakti pith s where Sati's fore-head and eye-brows fellwas established in the subcontinent. 5 This place is also famous as one of the 51 Shakti Pithas where there is a temple dedicated to Adi Shakti

Amazing place I was surprised hot water come out for years. Smaal of Sulfate also surprise you. It can feel a volcano like feeling.

Nice place to take a bath in winter, only Rs 5 is charged per person. Male and female has different ponds

Well tourist spot, but be careful, there have some problem with toilets, and if you go there with your children be extra cautious while taking bath in hot springs, have enjoy.

A good place for you and also for your family. There are two segments i.e. Male and female for taking bath. The natural hot water and stones at the bottom of the pool heals your body and reduce stress more effectively.

It was a great place. Must visit. Pure natural beauty. You can bath here. You will be delighted to spend time here.

Going in vein for lack of maintenance. And especially awareness. Visitors carelessly bathing, no guide, only wall writing directions, moreover, when the govt publish ban of plastic, selling hot water in used single use bottle, paid parking area better, hotels around are cheap and okay, we ate in janani hotel

Lovely place. Natural way of relaxation to your body. Good environment, two changing partitions are available. Different place of taking bath for women and men. People take bath before worshipping the Bakreshwar Shiva and Mahishamardini godess. It is believed that the bath is very holy and brings you good luck in your life. Overall nice place with nice surrounding of wall arts where you can relax yourself and make yourself calm and peaceful forgetting all of your tension and sorrows.

Nice spring. Bathing in the hot water of the spring is really charming, you will not want to get out of the water. Before taking entry you must buy tickets of rs. 5/person.

This is a natural hot spring which passes through several layers before reaching us for taking a bath.this is also a place of sati pith.there is separate change room and bathroom for male and female.some restrictions are there also.

Good place for visiting and good for Pooja also. You can also take a bath in the pond of hot spring. You can visit the temples, there is a lot of temples and you can also visit swasan. Then you can buy some specific items related to this place in the local stres.thanks

The hot spring is divided in four parts. The water temperature is 80°, 70°, 50°& 42° respectively. People can enjoy the bath at 42 degree centigrade.
