Recently visited this sweet shop near Ekdalia. A wide range of sweets. Price starts from Rs 18. Apart from sweets Radhaballavi, paneer roll, singhara, chanachur, ghee are also available. Taste was too good. All the sweets were fresh. Thumps up for the quality. The staffs were also co-operative minded.

No ethics, serves stale and rotten sweets every now and then, these establishments are perpetuating worst of business ethics

What was once one of the best sweet shops is now on the decline in terms of quality of sweets.

As the price of sweets has decreased since earlier, the size has decreased in proportion.

Only the curd tie is a bit like it used to be (also, that old-fashioned powdered milk on top - forget it!) The rest of the sweets are not the same.

Sweets are of good quality but service is sometimes slow because of gossiping between staff.

Visited Banchharam's Goriahat yesterday and bought some sweets. No doubt they tasted so good as always. Their dry sweets like Sondesh with wide range of flavors like - Date Sondesh, Strawberry, Chocolate, Gur. Gurer Taal Saansh, Gur Balls are so delicious. Bought some Peda too and Misti Doi is a Must try. There are different types of Salty Snacks available too like Chips, Namkeen, Soan Papri wow.

Cheating is now in their blood. If you are an outsider not from locality they guess and then give stale sweets in the bottom of your container. I bought 20 famous Pantuas on 24th came home early to enjoy them with family had to throw away all as could not eat them. Had bought Peda which tasted like made with milk powder

Very nice sweet shop. Want to have good misti doi its the place to go to. Prices are not that high with very good quality.baked rasogulla is very good

Absolute disgrace of a shop.
Not only do they not know how to treat their customers, they are impolitely arrogant.
Customers are what run your shop, and if you are of a behaviour, that only is to look down upon your customer, you are surely not doing the right thing.
Banchharam is supposed to be a heritage symbol for Kolkata, and such bad experience. I am not visiting any of their outlet ever again.
Moreover, they didn't taste any way near to what they cost. Not worth it.

Good quality of sweets but no sugarfree items for diabetics which should be included in future.

Less sugar content in most sweets make taste a great difference. Snacks are lipsmacking, warmth of staffs great affair.

They really keep Standard Sweets.unique ones as well shaped like a cake and one like a mithai tokri which are very delicious.they even keep singaras and paneer rolls made of desi ghee.

Taste of sweets can be improved a lot, better options are available at every nook and corner in Kolkata.

Horrible experience. How can a brand like Bancharam degrade it's quality, is a serious concern. Very bad experience.

It was good but you cant enter with Noñ Veg item packets in your hand which is little challenging

We deliver over 130 varieties of delicacies which are all prepared in a modern unit, handled by our trained staff with covered hands and supervised by experts who have years of experience. What a loot. As they say in bangla din dupure dakati. Exorbitant price and OAAC THU taste. Shame on you. Never felt so disgusted. Sorry but seriously rename it to Balerram. If you are reading this dont even try. Time to burn the brand. Chi Chi Chi.

You can enjoy sweets along with some crisps and treaty snacks there you can also enjoy some South Indian items

Apart from the variety of sweet Bancharam ghee is getting popular. The so called jibe gaja and few snacks are also very tasty. Unfortunately you might miss the spongy rosogollas like that of Nabin Chandra Das, Bengal sweets and few others.

One of the best sweet makers in Kolkata. Some times you may feel price is in bit higher side but always get value for money products. Must try.

Very expensive though - the 'ghee' is good.
The laddoos taste like the ones sold in the South of India - Lord Balaji's being the deity.

Some items are way Overtly priced. However the quality is good. Specially the aam sandesh. However the flavoured rasgullas lost a star.

For the last few years, enhancement not in test but in price. Size of some sweets and sandesh is tending to be smaller.

Best authentic sweet shop in Gariahat Golpark area. They have lots of variety and all taste very good. Price is on the upper side, but quality and taste complement the same. I love to visit Banchharam again again to taste the endless varieties of sweets which are the true pride of Bengal. When feel hungry I also taste their Radhaballavies. Highly recommended.

Awesome sweet shop in Gariahat. A go to place for all. Besides the extravagant, optimally sweetens and variety of sweets, it also dishes our lovely evening snacks - sighara (veg rolled in triangular pancakes and fried), veg cutlets and chop, vegetable patties and rolls.

They have become too expensive for whatever they serve. Quality as per that is just average to decent.

Got Shank Sandesh and Chocolate Roll.
For the price of Rs 10 and 15 each, we can get better elsewhere.

Old school sweet shop near gariahat-garia auto stand.been there for around 30-40 years. Specialty is the abar khabo.one of the most authentic versions u can find in South Kolkata.

Sweets are awesome overpriced though. You will find various franchise through out kolkata. They are all maintain same quality whether they are small or large. You can visit any of it.

Normally items are fresh, but that particular morning the sweet i took home was kind of stale tasting. So i threw out the sweets.

"মিষ্টি মানেই Bancharam" এই Tagline তো সবারই জানা। কলকাতার স্বনামধন্য মিষ্টি দোকান গুলোর মধ্যে একটি হলো Bancharam। আমরা order দি.

A renowned Bengali sweet shop having branches all over Kolkata and in other metropolitan cities.

Their u can find full niramis every thing.and must try their "Abar khabo misti " and "sank sondesh " baked rosogolla lov t place.i went there since my childhood.

A great sweet shop, the sweets are really good. Special mention about the laddoos and kaju barfis. The quality is pretty good at average rates. The service is also very good, keep up the good work.

Very old, renowned sweet shop, fabulously good quality sweet also has different types of fried snacks items, also has a Cookies & Cakes section, but all are Veg. Both the shops are AC. It has many branches (South & North) in Kolkata.

A nice sweet shop having many branches across kolkata.the only let down is you get only vegetarian food options here and mostly sweets.but when it's tasty the other concerns are immaterial

The best sweets I have had the pleasure to taste. There was this one sweet which was dry outside and juicy inside. Oh! My! God! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Wish I remembered the name!

Their other dry sweets are also fantabulous. Highly recommended!

This small Branch of famous Banchharam sweet shop chain in Kolkata is available at Gariahat Road near Golpark. Their authentic bengali sweets are very famous for its great taste and quality. Their pantua, sandesh, baked rasogolla, malpua, curd, rabri, gaja etc.are superb and special. They make everything with pure ghee. Snacks like samosas, paranthas, poneer rolls, vegetable chops etc.are also very famous and sold like hot-cakes. Cost of each item is much higher than the other sweet shops but considering quality, purity, taste and hygiene maintained by them, it may be ok. The shop remains always crowded. There is no parking place near the shop and no sitting arrangements inside.

Heard the name a lot, the sweets are great in taste and quality as well but bit overpriced.
They have numerous outlets all over kolkata even they have a tie up with biswa bangla thus all their sweets be it baked rosogolla or sarbhaja are supplied by them only.
The reason I reduced their stars is at the outlet near GST bhawan I was rudely told not to take pictures.
If they want to enforce something like it they must put up a notice or something, interrupting your customers is not a smart move guys.
They do have amazing sweets no doubt but there are shops like balaram mullick which serve everything better than these.
They are pioneer s in some sweets I've known i wouls suggest try their baked rosogollas for sure.
They also have nice chocolate mithais.
If you are planning to take away rosogollas you can buy the tin packed containers.

A franchisee of one of the Famius and Oldest Sweet Shops in Kolkata. Service is good, and the price is also not so expensive. Foods are of high quality, fresh and hygienic! Near Ballygunge Railway Station, You can definitely pick some from here on Your way back home after a long time!
