Brought Rasmalai from this Bancharam outlet and samosa. Both were old and didn't taste fresh. To top it off, the rasmalai had an insect leg in it and we discovered it after having 2 spoonfuls of it. It was terrible and just wanted to puke. I would never buy from here again.
They are innovative in fusion sweets. Sweets are good but little expensive. But I like conventional sweets of old renowned sweet shops over these types of fusion products
Very disappointing to get bad quality sweets from reputed sweet shops like Banchharam. I bought butter scotch & dry Gur Sandesh. It’s had pathetic taste and taste like Sandesh must be 5/6 days old. I have also tasted Pantua Mihidana which looks like very innovative sweet but again very disappointed with the taste. Any local Bengali sweet shops taste are better than these sweets. Why should anybody do much more for this bad quality sweets. Extremely disappointed and they must work towards improving the quality by serving fresh sweets and not the 4/5 days old sweets.
This outlet was full of Mosquitos, at the current time it is not hygienic. On the top of that I ordered a Jolbhora Sandesh (price 35) which is totally disappointing. I suggest to eat Jalbhara or any other Sandesh from Nakur Chandra (Located at Hedua) or atleast from Balaram Mallik.
Authentic Bengal sweets and taste is just nostalgic of what you'd eat in a Bengali home but better. The Gur Talshash was just delicious. The patishapta, the mishti doi was so light and tasty. Definitely going back for more.
Banchharam, the name is enough, isn't it? This is my favorite Mishti hub in kolkata. There's no mishti in that counter I haven't tried, you name it and I had it. Having said that, my favorites are the Taalsaash (gur er), peda, jibegoja, baked rosogolla, pantua, sorbhaja, abarkhabo Sandesh, Laddu, gur er all Sandesh and Rosogolla. The namkeen section is great as well. Paneer roll, Singara (most favorite singara in town), kachori, Parathas and radhaballavi which they serve with Alu Dum and there are many more. There was a chaat section as well which they recently removed but it was fantastiiic, I loved the Rajkachori chat. They serve excellent Dahi as well (Both mishti and tak)
The sweets all arrived squished and broken on bhai phota day…. So imagine my situation had to order from elsewhere the delivery company didn’t help nor did bancharam refund the money entire order was wasted.
Good variety of sweets are available. Bought a singara, paneer roll, and khashta kachori along with a fruit cake. The khashta kachori was one of the best buys, it was crispy and a must try.
Ordered from here, on a Monday evening via Swiggy. The order was supposed to get delivered in 30 mins. Even after 40 mins it still didn't leave the store and they called me saying they don't have stock of that sandesh and wanted to change. Then why did you wait for 40 mins to tell me that? Could have called immediately, as and when you received the order right? Sweets were good, but a 30 mins order took 1.5 hrs because of their bad service. It was a time waste for us and also the delivery guy, who could have taken another order instead of waiting at the store for no reason.
One of the oldest and most renowned " Bengalu Sweet Brand". Prices are quite reasonable. Try there " Kachagoll sandesh". It's too good. They also have some ethnic items like Malpua; Chanreapuli; etc. Some innovative Baked are also worth trying
In general taste of sweets and snacks are really good, but you have to cautious as they often miscalculate the values. Please check your bill and items thoroughly.
Not good. The staff were not polite. Features 1. All prices are including GST 2. Snacks are also available 3. No facilities for dining 4. Seating capacity is of only 8 persons, rest stand and eat 5. Accepts all payment methods, cash, card, and UPI.
