Bar (Bishnupur Tourist Lodge)

Spent two nights at this hotel. And it was a pleasant one. Clean room, large bathroom and fast wifi, what else do you need from an affordable stay? Oh, the staff was also helpful at all times. What surprised me the most is that you could select a ground floor room while booking online, making the place easily accessible for elderly people and those with mobility issues.

A good property at the heart of Bishnupur but not so well maintained. Food is good but limited availability and prices are a bit higher. Rooms and services needs to be improved.

Staffs were excellent and their service was very good. But, maintenance of the property is not upto the mark.

Very nice place to stay. All the amenities are available within the Room. Suggest to add more varieties to breakfast menu to suit patients. Otherwise, we are fully satisfied. Lift is badly required for seniors.

I do not understand why This name BAR it should be Bishnupur Tourist Lodge. Its got lodging, fooding, bar and conference facilities.

I want to share that the hotel is awesome in surrounding, it's outdoor is really enviromental which did not made me bore at all, the rooms are also super clean and awesome with all the nessesary things available such as brush, comb, paste etc, the bathroom was also really good but one thing I want to share that the rate of the food is really high such that I took one boil potato it took ₹50, the food quality is also bad, I found a fly in the bowl of rice so plz change these things, then it will be a superb hotel for living

Specious are, convenient location, bigger rooms with all modern amenities, neat and clean with very good service.

Lodge is good. Foid is also good. Bathroom you will like. The place is quiet. A lovely place to stay in the weekend with family

One of the finest Hotels of WB Govt Tourism deptt. Enjoyed my stay in Suite 301. Great ambiance great rooms good service.

Location is very good. Service is cordial and helpful. All the rooms are not equally good.some of the appliances are non- working. Overall good experience. Food is nice.

Very good place, staffs are very friendly and provided us useful information about the sight seeing places. Room is very good, comfortable and clean. Only snacks and tea/coffee can be ordered in the room. Lawn is present where kids can enjoy.

We just took our lunch on the 9th March, 2021 at Bishnupur Tourist lodge: , delicacies were lightly prepared yet tasty, ambience was pleasant.

Poor experience.when compared to Santiniketan tourist lodge.pros:
1.good location
2.ample car parking space

cons:
1.with renovation going on it has turned into a pool of dust
2.in house canteen food options are limited and also they aren't something one would crave about
3.its mandatory in all wbtdcl lodges to provide 'kol-balish' but these guys follow a different rule set
4.the blankets provided were dusty.
5.shower was not working although it qas a brand new renovated bathroom

Renovated Tourist Lodge rooms are having all comforts required for budget tourists. Foods served in the restaurant is excellent.

The place is very beautiful and the location is amazing. Most of the local attractions are near the lodge. They provide really good services. And the cherry on the cake was the newly renovated rooms, which are very big, airy, clean and very well maintained.

Quite an affordable place of stay with excellent rooms. It is of West Bengal government. Good food, which is quite light on tummy as well. Only one problem is that, it's very difficult to get a room during peak season.

Wonderful hotel with best rooms and amenities. The tariff has increased lately. Dining hall is very big and the food is great. Breakfast is complementary.

This rating is for my stay in Dec 19.
Although there was renovation taking place, it was a mild inconvenience during the day. The rooms are already upgraded with new furniture, flat screen TV, new split AC etc. The bedsheets were clean and fresh. What impressed me the most was the prompt and pleasant room service. They always serve with a smile and are very courteous and respectful to the guests, which greatly enhanced our stay and experience. The onsite restaurant has good, hygenic food, although the choices may be limited. Also one can hire e rickshaws at govt approved rates (Rs 400) for Bishnupur temple tour.

Although the bathroom amenities
Kit may seem thoughtful, its a wasteful use of single serve plastics (toothbrush, comb etc.many tend to use these for once and discard, unlike at home where its used for about 2 to 3 months). Simply put, these could be given to the guests who request them and.not everyone.

A must stay place for your next trip to visit the terracotta temples of Bishnupur, do not miss!

Excellent place for Stay under Govt of WB.

Located on heart of Bishnupur near at KG Engineering Institute (Polytechnic) and Bishnupur Boy High School.

Nearly 1KM from Bishnupur Bus Stand and 3KM from Railways Station.

The bar inside the lodge was a great experience. You can have a beer at 200 bucks only in chilled AC.

A great place for staying few days of Bishnupur traveling. Highly secured and good location with a class restaurant.

Excellent location in Bishnupur. Big parking place. Rooms are spacious. Dining facility available, dining room is newly renovated. Good food available. Bar facility is available.

So far my experience goes it is the best staying place in Bishnupur for tourists. Rooms are nice and spacious and the rent is actually very cheap in accordance with the hospitality provided. Breakfast is complementary other meals are so nice and palatable though the food prices are little high. The conduct and behaviour of the working personnel are really praiseworthy. It is centrally located in Bishnupur and most of the Terracotta exhibits are within walking distance. The environment inside the lodge premises are splendid due to a lash green well maintained garden. I think everyone should enjoy a nice staying out here.

Very centrally located. This place is a good start to your tour of Bishnupur.

The Rasmancha is a walkable distance away where you may get tickets for visiting all the other terracotta temples.

Close by is also the Dalmadal Cannon in a lane where you could also buy your touristy mementoes. The Bishnupur horse in clay or bamboo. Baluchari saris. Other terracotta stuff.

Returning to the Bishnupur tourist lodge, please have a meal here. We had a lunch here and couldn't complain about the taste of freshness. Please try the postho Bora - definitely a once taste. The fish fry was good too.

Service was better than expected. At the reception there is a cabinet with artifacts from Bishnupur with contact details of the artists who made them. In our case the famous creator of the dasavatar cards came over to show us some of his creations as well for a chat.

The reception will also help in getting in touch with a guide and a tuktuk in case if you want to park your car and be just a tourists. This is recommended as the roads are narrow and parking an issue.

This is a initiative of Bengal tourism Development Corporation. Situated just beside the road so Communication is good here.
Distance of all temples from this Tourist Lodge is close.

Behaviour of the staff is good and they are co-operative in nature. Food served here is also very good but quite costly.
