Baro Mandir Ghat Panihati

This was just an amazing place to visit. The holy Ganges was just wondering and mesmerizing. I went to meditate at Dhamma Ganga Vipassana Meditation Centre, Panihati. It was just beside Baro Mandir Ghat. I will also recommend you to meditate there for 11 days at free of cost. Children can also meditate there at free of cost. But they have to just meditate from 10: 30a.m to 3: 30 p.m. And there registration time is at 9: 00 a.m.

Good Place for Evening time. Perfect place to hangout with friends and family. I haven't even seen anyone smoking. If you are near sodepur more you must visit this place for at least 15 to 30mins.

A nice place, provided you are self dependent in everything.
1. Approach roads are extremely narrow.
2. Car parking is for just about 3 to4 cars that too about 400m away from the Gaht entrance without any security.
3. The place is a littered by local people who take bath and wash clothes.
4. The temples seemed to be permanently closed.
5. If it rains, it's all slippery and humid after that so be careful.
6. Nothing much to eat or drink is available so carry it yourself.

It's a good place to enjoy the quite and me time next to Hooghly.

This is an ancient place to visit. Nearby maa ganga with 12 shiv mandir makes this place beautiful. Must visit.

A peaceful melancholic view of ganges, in the evening, the sunset just takes the heart away butterflies in the stomach, and if you're with your loved one, beleive me! This is the place. Decent, sweet view.

Must view. Temples are solitary on normal days but very much crowded on special religious occasions

Clean and nice ghat.
Ambience is very soothing.you can have ghoti gorom there which is so good with the gonga.the evening time is the most beautiful with the sunset and nice view.you can visit various mandir there, but that time it was closed for us.
The clean ghat in panihati will refresh your mind very fast.

Nice ghat in Sodepur area. The place is big in size and very much popular to the local community. Love this place and the ambiance.

Baro Mandir Ghat is well known Ganga Ghat for people near Sodepur, Agarpara, Belgharia and whole north 24 parganas. 12 shiv mandir are here. Place is good and huge area as well. Some movies have been shot here at Baro Mandir. Satyajit Ray also shot a film here. Unfortunately I can't remember the name. During the Mahalaya, a small mela is hosted usually for locals. Actually that day, the ghat goes over crowded with people who comes for Tarpan. You may feel crazy to see the crowd that day. I usually visit in evening with my friends and sometime with my family too.

One of the oldest ghats in Panihati. Now renovation has been done. It is a good place to unwind or a stroll, especially in the late afternoon or during dusk.

A place for many youngsters as well as adults for hanging out and chill with friends as well as family. There's temples and stairs more like a gallery just above the holy water of River Ganga. Usually people sit here and the constant peaceful breeze takes all the stress away and put you in a hapoy mood!

Lovely place Barrackpore is the Historical place of Bengal. Eco friendly city. Go & collect an experience. Actually I'm attached in this city and I have so many experiences on Barrackpore. In my opinion best place. Specially Barrackpur Railway station. Friendly city. Helpful, perfect place for work. Plz go & collect an experience

Nice afternoon visit on that area for a boat ride, The place is very clean, particularly river Ganges is mostly clean. Riverside view is very soothing.

পরিস্কার সুন্দর মন্দিরগুলোর সাথে, ঘাট ও খুবই সুন্দর। ঘোরা, স্নান করা সব ই খুব ভালো লাগা।
