Good place for recreation but the fooding and room rentals are too expensive.if you pay this much amount of money for that kind of food and rooms available will make you feel bad.

Foods are awesome but bit expensive apart from these rest is great. Good for weekend trip.

A place to visit in the monsoon to let your feast on greenery. We stayed in the tree-house two, bonojyotsna. It was very a soothing experience, especially the soft classical sitar on mornings and evenings adds up to the serenity of the place. We were gifted with a musical evening and the performer was good enough to make the evening flow with him. The food is costly but tasty. Please have the mutton here, it is really tender. In all, it was a nice calm stay.

They don't understand any other languages other than Bangla. Difficult to communicate and ask for any services. In fact we had to even drag our own luggages while checking out since they don't understand the language. Food is another issue. Breakfast also has no choice other than Puri Bhaji. Wouldn't recommend this place unless you don't have any other choices.

Last weekend I visited the Bawali farmhouse along with my family. If there is one word to describe the experience, it is “fantastic”. If you are looking for a farmhouse for picnic near Kolkata, then there can be no better destination than the Bawali farmhouse. I highly recommend the farmhouse to everyone.

Really enjoyed the day in your farm house. The reception and service of Jagannath Babu and Amir Akhan were extraordinary and splendid. The ambiance inside the resort is also awesome. Food quality is just too good. Rooms are well maintained and neat and clean.

This place is very good for day outing and picnic, the area is large enough, there is a nursery with pretty large collection of saplings which you can purchase. The food is awesome and the portion size is good enough. The rooms are quite okay, do not expect any star category but the behaviour of the every staff is amazing, they are very courteous and always try to help to make your stay a memorable one.
Overall our experience was very good and we recommend this place to everyone looking for a day trip or weekend getaway near Kolkata.

Such a beautiful place for a day trip, I was there before and again I visited this place for its greenery and staff, love to be there again, if there any issue staff will there for you and even if it is at midnight.

Nice place for a weekend vacation. A resort in the middle of a nursery, plenty of greeneries with ponds. People are helpful, rooms are fine with all modern amenities. Food is good particularly bengali cuisine. Cost is little on the higher side.

Really nice getaway from the city. Amenities and food was really good and the views and greenery was mesmerizing. Staff were very friendly and helpful specially Amir, Mizan, Jagannath and Mr Pradip. Would certainly recommend this place to everyone.

Today we visit this Unique place (BAWALI FARM HOUSE) It was a lovely place. The staffs are very good especially Mr Amir, Mr Jagganath and Mr Pradip are very gentle and polite. In a nutshell it was just a AWESOME.

I do not recommend this place. If you want to relax and have a good vacation this is not the place.
Service is poor, food is bad, rooms filled with molds, we fell ill after staying there as the air from AC was not clean. Floor carpet was dirty, beds are uncomfortable and blankets were dirty. It was a nightmare.
The place is not being maintained well, it's very dirty. Please do not go here as you will regret and even if you do, do not take guha lipi, I guess it's one of the worst rooms.

I am checking-out today and writing this even before I do. Came here with certain expectations and most of them were met.

Ambience - Brilliantly green and serene. Right now they are expanding and renovating, so you may see a couple of constructions going on, but that will not affect your peace.

Food - Amazing, if you love food. Better if you love bengali food. Quality and taste is consistent.

Service - Quick and precise. Everyone on the property is always ready to help. Specially Mr. Pradip. He is always there to accommodate your requests, big or small. Service is the best part about this place.

Room (Jagori) - Only area where we found it lacking. Room upkeep was not upto our expectations. But as mentioned before, they are in the process of renovating.

Cost - Reasonable for what you receive in exchange.

Conclusion - I will be visiting again.

The first shock was that they did not have a clue that we had booked online. TV was not working and atleast 10 times people came to service it but nothing happened. The soap in the toiletry was used and repacked.
The food is priced at 3 star rating the food is just average. There is no proper chefs for Chinese food.

The bawali farmhouse is really a very great place to spend a weekend with a wide range of food items available from most of the cuisines the rooms are made after a lot of brainstorming as most of the rooms portray an inner meaning.

The farm house is very good. The internal ambience is great. But the service is not up to the mark.

All artistic decorations with branches of trees are awesome. Gardens, proper maintenance of plants and hospitality of staffs specially Mr. Ameer and Mr. Jagannath, Mr. Gokul
are extremely appreciable.

Location can not be changed but ambience is really good.

But…, some extra attention is needed for maintenance. We stayed at Jagori where toiled is ‘bad’, water leakage from almost everywhere, floor is always wet.

Great for a one-day stay and relaxing amidst the greenery and pools.quite pricey, but very sumptuous and homely food. The behaviour of staff is really satisfying; they are really helpful and welcoming.

The room was not cleaned. The swings are broken. The bed was broken! The stair towards the attic-room is not stable and can lead to an accident any time!
Room service doesn't bother to respond and the management has terrible communication with the visitors and the workers. Please spend your money somewhere else!

Yaaay! It's review time. I have to give a detailed description of this place. So let's get started.

1. Ambience: It has the greenary vibe everywhere. There are many unique rooms available here. These are theme-based rooms such as Guhamukur, Byapti, Nibhriti, Anubhav, Daak Ghor, etc. You can pay a visit to their official website before booking the rooms as per your requirements. The price is indeed affordable. The pool is under construction. We didn't get a clean pool though. Ask once about the pool before booking. There is a mini shopping mall for women. There is an activity centre where you will find billiards, carrom, etc. It is a PET FRIENDLY farmhouse. Even we had 3 cute dogs with us. There is a long nursery house. The boating facility is available.

2. Room: We booked Awndaar Mahal and Byapti. Both rooms were quite neat and clean. Personally liked Byapti. All the rooms are in a well condition. Book your room depending upon the members you want to accommodate with.

3. Food: Food is indeed awesome. You might find the food a bit pricey. The quality is worth the price. I'm a bit skeptical about the Fish items. There are two restaurants such as Ponchobyanjon and Neel Aakasher Niche (Open Air Restaurant). You will find Bengali, North Indian, Chinese, Mughal cuisines there.

4. Staff: Every staff has been cooperative and well behaved. They are very much organized and punctual.

After staying in Bawali Farmhouse for two days what I found is: It is the outcome of some of the most creative minds and the whole area is rich of culture and flag bearer of Bengal's Heritage. Not only that, the most important fact is: they made it a complete green zone full of oxygen and they haven't cut the big trees during the making of cottages. You will find trees inside your cottage which is magnificent and full of natural beauty. The architect and the whole team of Bawali Farmhouse deserves a big thanks for that.
Now coming to the main part:
Pros:
1) First of all the whole area is completely hygenic and so many people are trying their level best to make it possible. Every corner is very neat and clean.
2) All the working staffs are extremely humble, helpful and cooperating in nature. They were just a call away. Whenever we needed anything they delivered it withing 2-3 mins.
3) The foods are extremely delicious. There are two food canteens there. One is for Bengali items and the other one is for chinese dishes.
4) The lights and soothing music in the evening made the area more attractive.
5) The floating swan and other birds made the scenic beauty more nostalgic.
Cons:
1) In the garden there were few mosquitoes in the evening time just like any other garden in India. So, carry 'Roll-On' or 'Odomos'. Beacuse if you don't go to garden in evening due to mosquitos, then you will miss the soothing lighting and music.
2) There are 2-3 water bodies. But the boating system is currently interrupted due to servicing and maintenance purpose. But the authority said it will be opened for the tourists very soon.
Overall it was an amazing experience in 'Bawali Farmhouse'. ️️ Kudos to the whole team working there.

Very good village like place with latest comfort within 1 hour from kolkata and connected through sampriti bridge, village style interior inside room with pleasant personality of staff's and good complementary breakfast, two surprises - radio in the room and gift while check- out.

A well maintained property. Once u enter u ll find a gift store with all kind of items. One must park his car there only. Then u ll walk through garden in right n a whole lot of vegetables n flowers farming in left. Right next is the small swimming pool with attached restaurant. Jagannath Da leads the food department. Nice guy. Quite humble n helpful. This restaurant provides Chinese n Indian dishes in a swinging stair a.c. Room. A. C are not maintained properly so u ll find difficulty to sit there until n unless ur fix n control the a.c air flow to urself. There is another restaurant which serves only Indian n pre booked lunch or dinner. Food taste is little high from average. Swimming pool water is averagely maintained. Room tariff n food price is comparatively low compare to other property in Bawali.

The place is nice for weenlkend visit. 1 or 2 days amidst nature and feeling of countryside will rejuvenate you all. Service is slow and limited with not so trained staff at site but again it is far better than daily hustle and noises of the city. Good place to be with friends and family for a weekend to relax

Nice weekend gateway.surrounded with nature, lots of greens, will give pleasure to the eyes. Rooms are well maintained and will give you a essence of being in Jamindari times.stuffs are really helpful. Also there is free breakfast buffet in the next morning, the breakfast spread is quite good with lot of options. Perfect place to hangout with your friends and family away from the hustle of city life.

P.s. Make sure to carry your vaccination certificates. They will ask for it before check-in.

Very good place for weekend trip. Food and rooms both are good.
The all members security, manager, housekeeping, canteen all them are very good and try to give you best service the approach is very much likely.

A really serene farmhouse close to Kolkata. The rooms are unique and the staff is friendly and helpful. They are also very polite and cater to one's every needs. The food is really tasty. It's a must visit place if you are looking for a quick getaway weekend. Will definitely come back again.

We stayed in Tapobhanga room. The infrastructure is quite good (5/5) but maintenance is poor (2/5). The problems we faced are-
- Room was not cleaned before our check in. We had to follow up with manager to get it done.
- Electricity is poor, voltage fluctuated like anything during our stay. The power suddenly goes of as soon as we turned on the geysure. The remote of AC will not work, they have a timer set on it and after 200-300 sec the AC will be automatically turned off for a while. The temperature is set to 16 which you can't change.
- There is very bad noise created by rats (?) on the roof which is quite unpleasant.
- During the rainy days, the paths become muddy and slippery, should be taken care of.
- The foods are okay (4/5). The evening snacks (we ordered fish finger) were excellent (5/5). A bit expensive but justifyed by the taste and quantity (except chicken pieces in lunch)

Quaint little place tucked away at the end of a harrowing drive through narrow roads and local markets. The food is decent, ambience is fair enough.
Did not stay so can't comment, rooms are comfortable enough. Things to do in the evening may be a concern unless one aims to only sit and drink!

Perfect weekend getaway to relax, chill amidst nature and peace. Past meets the present and lush green locations within the the boundaries makes it an experience worth remembering. Make it a point to skip dieting and eat well.

Lack of maintenance. The bed got wet because of the rain last night at 3am appx. I told the manager he told it may happen. I really suprised with this type of answer where i paid 2000 appx for the room. It was not a good experience with Bawali Firm House.

Worst experience ever. We went to Bawali farmhouse for a weekend trip with family and we sweared to never visit again. The rooms were covered with thick layer of dust. The carpet looked like it has never seen a broom in life. There were 2 dead spiders and a cockroach just lying there on the floor.
Service is extremely poor. It's useless calling the reception for anything as they will either send it to you after 3 - 4 hours or never at all. We had taken our pet dog with us and asked the restaurant to send us his dinner by 9.30. They first provided our dinner by 9.50 and asked to wait 5 minutes for our dog's dinner which arrived at around 10.40. If there is a lack of employees due to COVID then the farmhouse should restrict the number of guests as well to maintain the service quality.
Food was tasteless and overpriced. Portion sizes were too small even for a single person. We had ordered mutton thali and the mutton pieces only had bones in them.
There were very frequent power cuts. In a span of 2 hours of us entering the cottage the power went off at least 4 times.
The 1 star that I gave is only for the good toilets and ample water supply available (only when the pumps are running though).
Will recommend noone to visit this place as you will get some disease or the other, if not COVID due to the dirt that is there in the rooms.

Worst experience ever. Too much Expensive yet dirty room, dirty bed & bad foor service. There was cockroach & bees in room. Not properly maintained. Staff behaviour is good. Only a good thing of all.

I have been a regular customer in this place for a long time. The staff never ceases to amaze us. We went as a group last time and had a small accident and broke a glass but they returned the extra money they took as charges. Really appreciate that!

Lovely place to spend a day with friends and family. The lunch (Ala carte) was not that great but the tea, kebabs and chilly fish that we ordered at night were superb. Service was slow and they must clean the rooms properly.there was a cockroach in our room. (unacceptable). However, I would strongly recommend going to relax amidst the greens. Staff behavior was good.

The plot is good but we faced some issues:
1. The good was not upto the mark. We took the day tour with brunch lunch now evening snacks. Firstly the brunch was pathetic. The kebabs tasted horrible! Saviour was the crispy baby corn! Lunch we took biriyani with children chap. The biriyani was ok types with lots of kewra water smell which was horrible and the chap we couldn't eat! The size of the chap chicken was huge! You will literally look like a monster if u eat it! Moreover the chicken piece due to its huge size was uncooked inside! The saviour was only the salad n raita. Now comes the desert phirni! Who on earth makes phirni with saboodana. It tasted ok. Evening snacks had tea/coffee which we told them to serve but it took 45minutes to come! Moreover the snack was veg spring roll which was the worst dish compared to what we had whole day! The oil was bad n the stuffing was may 3-4days old. May be whatever leftover they have, they just made the spring roll out of it!
2. The swimming pool was not maintained at all! U can't access it henceforth! The property has huge huge mosquitoes which will start biting from the evening telling u to get out of the property or go inside the room if u have booked one! U can't enjoy the evening outside!
3. The service of the staffs were very slow. U need to come and take seat in the restaurant for 40mins to get ur food on ur table! This might be because of staff shortage!
4. The room they provided for day touring had ac which worked but the tv didn't work! Moreover the toilets ran out of water from the afternoon!
5. The sanitization station which they have put had no sprays! I think only water 2-3drops came out of it! It just a showpiece nothing else!
Basically they need to improve a lot!

Nice place for a weekend trip or even day outing. Full of greenery. But lacks maintenance, probably due to Covid. Although we went there half an hour after usual check in time, we had to wait for almost an hour because our room was not ready. Certain staff were very rude. Otherwise, room and food was good.

The most pathetic and disgusting place I have ever been. To begin with, I would definitely like to mention the extravagant loot of the management of Bawali Farmhouse where for 10 pax (including 2 children) cost us nearly Rs 15000 for a one day tour and in return, we were ushered with nothing but a place that is falling apart.
If you are thinking of visiting this place, I would definitely suggest to look out for someplace else, but surely not this one.

To be very honest, only thing that made our day was the surrounding village filled with eye-soothing greenery and the temples of Bawali Mandal Zamindars (10 minutes drive from Bawali Farmhouse)

Apart from this, regardless of food, room, hygiene, each and everything needs to be taken care of immediately by good hands.

Very nice place to spend a couple of days. Rustic village life with a small pond which has ducks swimming. Birds of all kinds you can spot We also saw a magnificent Asian water monitor! Staff behavior & food quality is excellent. The property is operating with 50℅ staff & yet they managed to accommodate all that we demanded. The property is facing some maintenance issues but that is only because of lack of manpower & not because of lack of will on their part
Special mention -Pradip da who never said no to anything.
