Very nice ambience and very helpfull service good place to stay and visit
Overall environment is very good.

We had a family gathering for 21 heads on 21-01-24 to 22-01-24. The rooms were spacious, airy, clean & well maintained, also well maintained garden & lawn is very attractive.
The staff at this hotel is so friendly and helpful. Specially desk manager is outstanding.
Food was very good & testy, but there should be more options for evening snacks.
Location is just 5 minutes from Sonajhuri hut.
Overall it's a nice experience.

Rooms are clean and spacious. However the double beds are combination of two single beds which is uncomfortable to sleep. Service and behaviour of the stuffs are down to earth and always helpful. Canteen is ok but bit slow to serve and food quality avg. Walkable distance from Sonajhuri haat provided you enjoy the walk back and forth.

It’s very beautiful place with lots of different flowers, vegetables and fruits growing. The property is spacious, neat and comfortable. The staff was quite courteous and helpful. The food in the restaurant was well balanced and delicious, though at times the waiters had a tough time coping with all our requests all at once (we were a group of 14 senior citizens!)
I will stay here every time I visit Shantiniketan and have recommended it to my family and friends.

The greedy host
I booked this from airbnb with advance payment.
First all the Host (Manager) denied that I have any booking, ask for all booking details, payment details and said that they are not on airbnb.as per The manager (host) they are not having business with airbnb.
Imagine you are alone with a kid and till late night 11PM, host was unresponsive and later said they cannot allow check in as they have ended business with airbnb.
The manager was agree to give me room only if I will pay him same amount I already paid on airbnb.at last when I said to go police station for the matter he allowed me to checked in.

Very calm place. The hotel is clean, organized and very good service with smile. The manager and the hotel staffs are very cordial and helpful towards all the boarders. The only con would be the time taken to serve food at their inhouse restaurant, which they can improve upon. Overall a very good and comfortable stay.

Nice and well maintained. All services are good and staffs are well behaved. Ambience is filled with ' Bhalobasa'.

I stayed here in month of December, though staff behaviour and food was good, something I have to mention about their hospitality they did not have any pest control, too much mosquito is the room asking several time about that they hardly did anything.
Though they had TV but set top box was out of recharge.
And the manager's behaviour was also little bit rude.
Though hotel management claims that sonajhuri hat is nearby it is not, It was quite a long walk 15 to 20 minutes minimum.
BUT the ambiance was good.
But I must say ambiance was quite good.
Rooms and bathroom was clean.
Overall if you are looking for a hotel near sonajhuri hat don't go for this hotel, If you wanna stay in some quality time in peace, you can look in to this hotel.

This was our second visit to this amazing place and will be every time whenever we will come to bolpur. A home next to home. A peaceful serene atmosphere amidst lap of nature with honest, humble, innocent and dedicated staffs. The food is well balanced and healthy. A must visit?

Very nice stay. The location is near sona jhuri haat. Hotel staffs are very cordial. The food quality was quite good. Toto service available. There is ample parking for cars also. Over all our experience was very good.

Staff, Location, Rooms and ambience was great! Especially, people. The elderly who are living there are awesome. An absolute reason to love this place.

Stayed here for second time with my full family. Again we felt like at home. What a wonderful place this is. It is fixed for any trip at sonajhuri. Keep it up.

An amazing place to spend some quality time with family. Very well managed, and well maintained premises to provide a relaxing & soothing stay.
Loved their wide variety of plants all around the place, with numerous vegetables grown there itself.

Only downside was their service, which was delayed as compared to other places in the vicinity. But food quality & quantity was good.

Keep in mind, this place is located bit away from the Haat, about 10 min by foot.

This is not at all a hotel first of all. It is a old age society. The owners have decided to rent their extra rooms for outside guests. I stayed on 22/7/22 at room no 210 and 211 at first floor. My first impression was overall nice as far as its location, food quality and staff behaviour is concerned.but room cleanliness is a serious issue. From evening onwards lot of insects are there in the rooms. We have to stay awake in the midnight to take care of my three years old daughter because of this insects.
Varieties of Ants, bugs and grasshoppers are roaming around in the floor, toilet and the bed.
In today's world, room hygiene comes at first position in hotel business but Bhalobasa Anandabas has failed to ensure this.
Very very disappointed.

I stayed here and enjoyed too much. Green trees and flowers may also attract. Every staff are very cordial and cooperative.

It was a fantastic stay. All the staff were well behaved. The rooms were in perfect condition. The area was full of greenery. The location of this place was splendid and near to Sonajhuri Forest and its hat. The food was nice too.

It was a good location and rooms are very spacious associated with a wide and long balcony. It is a very ideal place to spend some quality with family and friends.

An ideal residential for aged person। Situated near the sonajhuri hut, near Shantiniketon campus. A beautiful combination of nature and suburban.facilities. Management is strong and helping.l recommend this old age home.

Nice and Clean rooms. Good environment here but Variety and standard of food should be improved more.

Basically it is an old age home but some portion are provided for tourists. Very beautiful and peaceful place. You can enjoy the nature as per your test. The location is behind the Sonajhuri forest. You must stay at least one time whenever you will visit Shantiniketan. Staffs are also very helpful.

It is located at the interiors of Shantiniketan Bolpur, even crossing Shakuntala Resort. The rooms are good and the ambience is quite. Nice place to stay with family but at the interior. The tribal village is nearby to this hotel. The food here is not at all preferable and dinner here is too early. The only rescue for food is the nearby restaurant Shakuntala that provides all types of food at reasonable rates. Load shedding happens regularly but this hotel does not have any power backup. Room charges are also on the higher side. Commuting to the main market is also a prob, you have to book a toto beforehand, toto is not readily available. Else, you have to walk upto the Shakuntala resort for getting one toto.

It is near Prakriti Bhavan, Sonajhuri pally. Khoai haat is at walking distance. This basically being a senior citizen residence, safety and security was strong. Staffs were well behaved, and concerned. Food was home cooked, though a little bit costly and lacked variety. Power back up was there, water supply enough, Wi Fi was slow, and rooms were clean and enough for two. The room I was alotted had a great view over window. Had a nice time with resident uncle and aunts there.

Had stayed in this property with my family recently, this is basically an senior citizen residency, they are running as hotel till all rooms are not occupied. Rooms are big but they have issue with services. Even room cleaning and to change bed sheet they are reluctant to do. Everything needs to be followed up by the guest. To my opinion they need a lot of improvement is staff services.

Five minutes walking distance from sonajhuri haat. This is an old age home along with hotel. The environment is very nice, hospitality is very nice. Quality of food is good, very light and healthy. Rooms are very clean, and overall needed equipments are available.

Every thing was fine else canteen service. There is a huge improvement required in servicing the food timely
