What can you say about this place serving Bengali cuisine. The taste of all the items we ordered were just yum. Plain Steam white rice with Dal/ Fish Paturi/ Luchi/ veg sabzi/ chicken curry / fish Kalia. Out of this world. This place is small but food is very good. We are frequent at this place since it’s situated at a very good location. The parking is good. The Staff are prompt. And any requests is taken care of by them immediately. Happy Eating here always. Keep up the good work.
Food is great but place is awful. Congested and crowded. In peak hours specially in weekends, be prepared to wait for a while to grab a seat before you can satisfy your hungry stomach.
It's basically a Bengali restaurant which serves authentic Bengali home style dishes. One of my favorite place in kolkata for dining. Absolutely love everything in the menu and even the service out there is quite good! Well behaved staff and great environment with the aroma of great food. Hygiene is well Maintained! Properly sanitized. Specially in these times when it's an absolute necessary.recommended! A highly recommended place to visit with friends and family, and even alone (if we are really hungry and looking for good and affordable place to eat). Do try Nolen gur ice-cream if you visit this place! You won't regret.
I mean to say, for authentic bengali foods, people love to visit this place but if you r really belong to a bengali family, you may not satisfied with the quality. I am saying this because my mother cooks far better than the food they serve. But if non bengali people want to have experience on bengali cuisine they must visit this place.
Location and stuff was good. They are really cooperative, but the food quality is not up to the mark. They have reduced standard and quantity with respect to price
Amount is Very high than the food quantity and test is not good, bhojohari manna served low quality food than other any restaurants, I personally suggest not to go there for lunch or dinner.
One of the best food experiences I have ever had in my life. So much variety, especially if you like Bengali food and fish especially. Even the chicken curry was awesome and I don't have words for the Rajbhog made in Nolan Gur (palm jaggery). It was simply out of this world. I will cherish the taste and the memories forever.
Great tasty food. Bit more oily & spicy. Otherwise good ambience. Good location. Possibly only place with nonveg Indian food option in area. Neat hygenic. Good prompt service. Nice place to visit in evening. Good options to choose from menu.
Five stars for the food. The best, authentic and delicious bengali cuisine in Calcutta. Warm, courteous and welcoming staff. The ambience though comfortable, feels stuffy and in need for an upgrade.
It's was earlier very good.but now so much spicy.and they HV overlooked Bengali touch.it's no more that Bhojohori Manna I knew.disappointed.taste is ok type
I was short of time, but was craving for bengali cuisine. I simply love bengali thali a mix of veg and non veg. Bhetki dishes are to die for. Kosha mangsho yumm, and I can go on and on.
Nice authentic bengali food. Pure JHAL CHARA RANNA. Price moderate. Billing process fare. Friendly service. Total 20 person seated option. Very very good.
If you waste your time and money go to this place they have no seating arrangement for more than 30 person at a time. You have to wait for 1 to 2 hour for your turn. Food is prepared some where else they bring it here and sale. Quantity of food in plate decreased as per demand if you are in last batch you may have some item skip or get less in quantity. Food quality doesn't justify the price they are charging. We felt we are having Bengali food out of Bengal in abroad price is too high. Staff have some attitude as they are running the place and we are at their mercy.
Its pretty good enough to enjoy Bengali delicacies, although not completely authentic but ya will give good feel of Bengali Cuisine. We ordered a thali, Chingri Malai curry which was delicious but the prawns was more of shell and less of meat. Kosha chicken with polau was also tasty. But the fish patudi was highly mustardy which turned the dish bitter. Thali was good with vegetables being extra sweetened. The space of the hotel is small, not that clean hence not so ambient. But service was very good. But anyhow it is recommended by me to visit once.
This place is famous for its mouth watering bengali cuisine. You can get the best mutton Curry (Mutton Dalbangla) here. Even after so many years the taste still remains same. I don't know why they are not serving Basanti Pulao anymore or it was only that specific branch, but this is something they should definitely bring back. Only disappointment was the Nolen Gurer Ice-cream, the quality has reduced drastically. I would say try something else but don't try nolen gerer ice-cream as it has become a joke now with the high pricetag.
The outlet of sec 1 is really not upto the mark. Very small restaurant; does not provide much space and the dishes are not that great like the other outlets in comparison. Nagerbazar and sec v bhojo hori manna are really good but sec 1 is not at all worthy.
Bengali food is really good at bhojohari manna, I love there food from the inception of the restaurant, the people behind this food chain must be a food lover.
Daab chingri r chingri is not properly cleaned & fried & made with just like mustard curry with one spoon of coconut water which is supposed to be made with tender coconut. Thali is good. But the service is slow, indirectly pressure to order starter when you want your choice only
They had served Pabda Jhol instead of Jhal and they were not ready to accept it. Jhal with mild Shorshe bata is completely different. The staff was trying to convince me, which was not good. Lots of items were not available also.
The sector 5 outlet is lot better. Had orderee sorse pabda. The gravy was tasteless and without salt. Probably, there was shortage of gravy and hence they added water and boiled.
We ordered Vetkir cutlet, Aampora Sarbat, Sorshe Ilish, Luchi with matar panir, Mutton Dakbunglow, Dab chingri & Nalengurer Ice cream. Sorshe Ilish & Nalengurer Ice cream were simply out of the world. The cutlet was also really good. But much-hyped Dakbunglow or Dabchingri simply disappointed me. Also ₹12/pc for luchi & ₹35/glass for the sarbat! In short they do serve good Bengali food but bit overhyped & surely overpriced!
