The stuffs are so arrogant that any buyer can think “stuffs are owner”. One rainy day a lady stuff told me to keep my wet umbrella outside their shop when I asked thar there is no security so I can’t, she remains silent with arrogance. Even they don’t provide any tub to keep the wet umbrella. They don’t even care about their customer. They only concern about sell the goods which are overpriced with cheap quality.
Staff need to be trained so as to be equally courteous to all customers. There was feeling that they decide financial ability on the basis of look alone!
It is designed aesthetically. Rich source of knowledge for foreigners about Bengal. . Very knowledgeableStaff. Photography is prohibited so can't upload photo
Good collection of authentic Bengali dressing and from authentic source of Bengal. Pricing is on the higher side if you visit other shops around where will get same quality products at much reduced price
A unique collection of premium handloom products. 15 minutes here was more effective than hours or days or travelling across Kolkata. Naturally you are paying for the time saved. While here - don't forget to stop by at the sweets corner and grab a bite (or a bagful) of exquisite delicacies!
Exorbitantly high priced and impossibily expensive. It's a tourist trap and practicality impossible that it would cater to mid scale segment. The saree prices goes on till 70 k to 1 lac. It's only meant for Top Notch Bengali NRIs who earns in dollars and are ready to spend thousands at a drop of a hat. For common people, just go visit and get an idea how expensive garments looks and feels like
Visited the Biswa Bangla showroom at Dakhshinapan Dhakuria yesterday, on 26th sep'21. Want to let everyone know that there was a sales person (male) who lacks in manners in all sense. When the budget of a customer is not as per his expectations, his way of talking becomes sarcastic. And actually his sarcastic way of talking refrained us from buying anything from there making us feel if we have to buy any quality product from there, our budget has to be approved by him. Want to inform the authority that such audacious and mannerless sales person is very harmful to the organisation. (Previous experience on that showroom was not devastating like this and so previously bought a nice saree from there)
Good collection of clothings apparel and handicrafts. Staffs are attentive and courteous. Items are on the pricier side though. The store is bang on the right after entering dakshinapan complex and well decorated, nice effort and branding.
In a way it's pride of Bengal to be a able to have one of the most contemporary and we'll managed state run craft store. The collection is outstanding and showcases Bengals rich and diverse cultural heritage. I am just blown away by the quality of things they produce and have to say it's best in class when I look at the other state run stores
A very well managed Govt. Shop for various Bengali handicrafts and other products like tea. Products are quality products, for handicrafts gift items this is a very good source.
Commonly known as Dakshinapan, it's a market where mostly readymade garments and textiles are available. Also there are emporiums of various states with the array of their crafts. One can also have many shoe stores here to get a wide variety of choice. A number of good eateries and a tea boutique are added attraction. Tamilnadu Tourism has its outlet here. Liquor shop, Godrej furniture outlet, Railway reservation center and wide range of cosmetic shops cater to need of the people. Also, Bengali theatre enthusiasts can enjoy dramas of reputed groups in Madhusudan Mancha which is an important landmark. On the whole, this is a place where one can enjoy shopping in good ambience without much hassle.
