One of the best niche Chinese restaurants in the city. This one offers great food at a reasonable price. The portion sizes are large. If you're a pork lover, you must visit. Their dry chilli pork paired with any fried rice is to die for. This restaurant is a hole-in-the-wall haven for food lovers. Give this place a try. This tiny, humble eatery hopefully won't disappoint you.

It's kinda Buddhist atmosphere. Noodles are there but don't expect pasta. Variety of pork items are available. Food taste is moderate to good.

The food is truly great in terms of taste! The area is not big, you might feel a bit it's small, but seating and overall layout of table and chairs are nice and properly arranged. If you go by your own vehicle, you may park it outside.
Price is okay, AC is there and service is decent. The ambience is a bit darkish, which I liked. You can visit here often, with friends or family.

The place is small but their dishes are sumptuous. All that I have tried here are of top notch taste and quality. Have been there for numerous occasions and they never disappointed me. Highly recommended.

Food was not upto the standard except fried chicken. Which was really good. Lemon bhetki was tasteless. I ordered mixed fried rice in which chicken pieces were very few and it tastes like rice and few vegetables with prawn mixed together. No Chinese taste. But quantity of each dishes were very good.

We had their 2 person combo and according to the price the quality and quantity both were precisely beautiful. We would surely love to visit again.

Recently they have launch three combos which can be for one, two and four persons. The ambience is really good and have a peaceful vive throughout and the quality of the foods is really great. They have also introduces some of the items like Roasted Pork, Pork Hakka Noodles also.

This place is really superb for middle-class people. They give quality foods at affordable price.and quantity is also above normal.

Somehow came across this quaint little place right at the corner of the street. Tried their combo for ₹169. Value for money considering the amount and quality of food served.
It was served hot and fresh. Quick service is a plus point. Chill ambience with some soothing music for the vibe.

Tangra style Chinese food now available in South Kolkata. Yes, The Place is Blu Orchid. It located near triangular Park. The ambience is simple and comfy. You can enjoy all Tangra Chinese foods like golden fried prawn, momos, mixed fried rice, Hunan chicken, meifoon and many more. Bonus for us now they serve delicious pork dishes. If you are a pork lover then you have to try the roasted chilli pork. Super quality tender and spicy roasted chilli pork will definitely cheer you up. Also the golden fried prawn are amazing. Service is good. Quality and quantity is top notch. Would love to visit this place soon.

Went there yesterday for an afternoon lunch with my friends and spent an amazing time there.

Blu Orchid earlier used to operate via takeaway and delivery only but they have also opened there dine-in facilities back in 2020. This is such a great news. After visiting there yesterday, I loved the warm, cozy, and minimalistic decor in there.
The staff there is very polite and courteous.

At just 2mins walking distance from Triangular park is a gem of a restaurant. They specialise in Chinese and Sichuan cuisine. Even though the ambience might not be a stellar one but the food here is to die for! Why so? It's because Blu Orchid seems to have mastered the techniques of making authentic tangra style Chinese food here in South Kolkata.

Sitting area doesn't support more than 20-25 people but I guess it's worth the wait for some really good quality food!
Staffs are well mannered, patient and helpful.

Fried rice containing chicken, prawns, egg, beans, carrot and onion, tossed in manchurian sauce. If you don't see any garlic don't worry, it's probably because the high temperature cooking has made it translucent. You sure get a strong hint of garlic in this.

In conclusion, I have nothing but good words for Blu Orchid as it has truly surpassed some of it's major competitors in the aspects of taste, quality and consistency of the food. I wonder why they don't have more outlets though. Nevertheless, wishing them luck for their future endeavours. I'll be back for the Cantonese Noodles next time

Some of the most delicious Tangra style Chinese food was enjoyed at this restaurant. Situated near the Kalighat Metro Station, this spot is a great hangout space for kids, families and anybody else who likes Chinese.

I would highly recommend these food items here:

The Blu Orchid Mixed Special Soup: You may think it's a regular egg drop soup but wait until you notice the mushrooms, prawns and the chicken. An absolute banger.

Drums of Heaven: A personal favourite of mine because this wasn't overtly battered and was very flavoursome. You could really taste the yummy sauce.

Kung Pao Fish: A good addition but skipable if you don't like fish. Good sauce but would like the cashew to be chopped. But again, that is my personal opinion.

Golden Fried Prawn: The perfect finger food to snack on. I could keep munching on these forever. Super soft but so flavoursome.

Honey Chicken: Again I'm not a fan of this because I'm not into sweet tasting main course dishes. However if you like a little sweet something with sesame on it, you're good to go!

Mixed Fried Rice: Pretty good, however, there is a better item.

Roasted Chilli Pork: I would come back to this restaurant only for this dish and other few that I mentioned. The pork slices are super juicy and the sauce literally gave a flavour punch.

Mixed Meifoon: The fish which is way better than their mixed fried rice. Amazing flavours.

Darsaan: A classic.

This is one of the Chinese joint and they serve proper Chinese food with great taste and reasonable price
And also they are able to deliver delicious food at your door step. With all safety measures.

Liked the place and the ambience. The quality and taste of the food is also great. If you are thinking for going out for a lunch at a budget this should be a option you should consider.

Very decent and light food. It is having a great ambiance with soothing music within a small sorrounding. Had a good time.

Near the City Style shopping mall in the by lanes it is located. The interior is moderately dcorated. Price wise the quality of food served is good. Quantity is adequate. If a couple are visting then it is okay but gets too crowded if families gets in together.

This is a good place with cozy ambience. Can be recommended as good family dine in restaurant.

It's a small outlet with nice ambience. Good place for hangout with friends and family. They're known for their Authentic Chinese food. Taste of the items that I have tried were absolutely perfect and quantity was also satisfying.

Each and every item was so tasty specially Shanghai Chicken. Price is also reasonable. Overall a ideal place for hangout.
