Breathing Earth

It's a mixed experience for me. I visited Breathing Earth with my family and pets. The rooms are really beautiful and spacious and really well maintained. Overall resort is very well maintained. But I have issue with their service somehow. They shown us the room and intercom number that's it, no arrangements for welcome drink, no clue about where the lunch will be served. Really thanks to all the vlogs and vloggers, ultimately because of these YouTube videos I helped myself and searched for the daycation buffet space. Plus foods were not sufficient nor they are refilling. Anyways the food quality was good and tasty. I am really thankful as they have arranged for pet food as well. Overall it's a moderate experience.

Breathing Earth is a picturesque retreat located approximately 1.5 hours away from South Kolkata. Nestled in a quiet and charming environment, the property offers a tranquil atmosphere for a relaxing escape. The sprawling layout of the resort provides ample space for guests to unwind and immerse themselves in nature's beauty. During my visit, I stayed in a cottage pool facing room, which had both its pros and cons.

The cottage assigned to me was numbered 104 and offered a spacious interior with a large king-sized bed and two comfortable sofas. The bathroom was clean and sizable, although I felt that the cottage's decor could have been improved to match the generous amount of space available. Adding a bathtub to the bathroom and upgrading the quality of the commode and sink would have enhanced the overall experience. Additionally, I found the amenities provided in the room to be underwhelming, considering the price charged for the stay. Nevertheless, the room provided a pleasant and comfortable environment for me and my partner during our one-night visit.

The food served at Breathing Earth was a mixed experience. The lunch provided a delightful homely touch and was enjoyable. However, dinner did not match the same standard. The evening tea and snacks served in the room were a nice gesture and added a touch of personalized service.

The resort boasts abundant greenery throughout the property, which creates a serene ambiance. However, I did notice some areas where the property could be better maintained and decorated. The pathway from the cottage to the restaurant was dimly lit, and in certain sections, not lit at all, leading to a slip and fall incident for me due to water from the rain. Attention to such details would significantly improve the overall safety and experience for guests.

Undoubtedly, the highlight of Breathing Earth was the pool. The temperature-controlled pool provided a refreshing escape, and with a water depth of approximately 4 feet, it catered to both swimmers and non-swimmers alike. This feature added a touch of luxury and relaxation to my stay.

Overall, my experience at Breathing Earth was satisfactory, but there is room for improvement. The resort has the potential to develop further and enhance various aspects of its offerings. On a positive note, I appreciated that the resort is pet-friendly, allowing guests to bring their furry companions along.

In conclusion, Breathing Earth offers a serene and peaceful retreat from the city, with a charming ambiance and a fantastic pool. However, attention to detail, better room decor, improved pathway lighting, and elevated amenities would greatly enhance the overall experience. With further development and enhancements, Breathing Earth has the potential to become an even more remarkable destination for a relaxing getaway.

My partner and I went there last week. The place is huge and has around 20-30 rooms with different categories. A few things which have to be mentioned are
1) There are some outdoor activities but it lacks a Games Room.
2) Though not necessary in an Eco Tourism Property, a gym wouldn't have caused much harm.
3) A lot of empty space is available there where they could arrange outdoor games like badminton or cricket.

I found the food quite delicious but then again the price range is a bit too much considering you are near Kolkata.

The best place for a getaway with your friends & family.
A place that provides a lot of activities for your little ones. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and tidy.
The food, hospitality, service & staff is commendable!

Superb Place in the outskirts of Kōlkata (1 hour drive only from South-West Kōlkata, smooth Road)

Beautiful Green Resort, perfect for a Weekend getaway and/or Staycation.

And double bonus for it being pet friendly and always having a chance to meet other families who've gotten their pooches along.

We visited there for a one day family trip. The location is very easy to access as it is situated on the main road. There is ample space for parking of at least 10 personal vehicles. The resort has been maintained well. The pond, the grass fields, the trees, the pavements and the rooms- all are decorated with rustic attire. There is a medium sized swimming pool. There are two two-storied buildings and 10 cottages. All the rooms are with AC and well furnished with all modern amenities. The rooms and toilets are clean and tidy. There is a multi-cuisine restaurant also for serving the inmates. They offer a huge variety of foods in the buffet. The price is on quite a higher side. There are some more paid activities such as zip-lining, boating, shooting, balance riding, etc. Overall a great place for an outing of a day or two.

Beautifully done place and exceptionally courteous yet homely conduct by all the staff. Food is very good too, but there is not much option of ala carte.
The place comes with a huge lawn, good for playing cricket, football or for taking a stroll.
Rooms are spacious and excellent, can fit 4 adults if required. Comes equipped with a mini fridge and an electric kettle.
The swimming pool is well mentioned. The rowing and paddle boats are good as well.
The zip line is also good, but gets over in a flash.
There are no views or any attraction outside of the resort, so going with more than 1 family makes it more fun.
Almost the entire travel is through city roads, so donot count for any fun for driving.
Overall, a really good place to visit practically within city limits

Wonderful property, great ambiance, courteous helpful staff. A great experience with my aged parents and fur-baby.

Excellent weekend destination.beautiful resort.and friendly staff.overall just fantastic.only few small suggestions, if the area could be made more monsoon friendly. I went during two days of heavy rainfall and it was all muddy and puddles with water logging.the mud all over the place makes the walking path slippery and it becomes risky to move out of the cottage to the restaurant for food.another suggestion.if the area could be a little more well illuminated specially post evening.the mobile phone torch was the saviour

The property is really good when the question comes to look, but when we checked in the bed wasn’t clean at all. The room and corridor was full of insects and lizards. When I asked, the stuffs to clean the insects and lizards. They said that they cannot help us with the same. Moreover, the stuffs they are not at all trained. For this kind of harassment, I am paying so much.
Though I must say, the food is really good.
Try the property at your own risk, but before trying speak to the owner. I believe, the owner the can manage things.

Excellent peacefully weekend outing place for family outside the city hue and cry. Food is also delicious and cheap.

It's a very beautiful place hang with friend&family.staffs are excellent. Their behavior, hospitality satisfied u the fullest.above all food is awesome. If u r tired of daily busy life then I suggest u to go in this place. It's only take one & half hour from kolkata.

2hrs drive from Shyambazar. Polite and helpful staff. Reasonable price-7000 for 1 night stay with breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. Property is well maintained with some activities for both kids and adults. Food is excellent specially bengali style food. Tandoori items are too spicy. Early check in is an issue. Activities are not always in running condition. Rooms are huge with spacious toilet. Lighting around the property should be improved. I have visited four times. Will recommend everyone to visit once.

Nice place to chill for 1 day or max 2 days. Food is tasty and room service is also very good.
A bit of maintenance and some more lights required to make this place more attractive and beautiful.

Food and ambiance was so good only for guests, they treat very badly with Drivers and charge money for Drivers food but not provided.

It's a very nice resort near on Sirakol Usthi at Diamond Harbour Road. The place has a good scenic beauty, it's full of fresh air and green. You can either come out for a day out or for one or two nights with your friends and family to spend a lovely time. The food is good and tasty. They have got plenty of outdoor activities and adventurous water sports as well. You can also do boating in the evening to spend some good times. Overall it's a very nice place. I loved it.

It's the best resort ever, it has good & large quantity of food, good staffs, maintained pool, beautiful dogs, pet friendly, awesome & chilled AC rooms.

Costlier than its amenities. Employees are well behaved. Bengali food is good but other cusines like chinese are a mess. They are maintaining hygiene in this critical time.

Lovely small place. Just like a hideout from the chaos of the city. Awesome food and good hospitality. Though gets monotonous for kids at night, otherwise there are activities to keep them engaged. Pool is small and we did not see any pool staff.

Very good place for one night stay. Good service, good ambience and very tasty food. The entire package for food, one night stay might sound expensive but the entire experience is worth the value one pays for it.

The kitchen incharge attitude also did not like, they cud not take criticism positively to improve.
House keeping senior staff needs professional training.

The experience was amazing. We went on a Thursday which was a weekday. So it was just us 10 girls and another small family. It was fun. We tried Cycling, Swimming, and many more activities.

I visited this resort on 28th January to 30th January 2021 with my husband to celebrate our anniversary. We booked the upper floor of lake view room. The property is good, neat and clean. But the room was not that clean. It seemed that they have cleaned the room long before and locked it. The room is spacious, and can easily accommodate 5 people. Bathroom is spacious too and clean. But getting hot water in the shower is a bit troublesome.
Service offered by the staff members is prompt. They leave no stone unturned to serve the guests. But there is a lack of communication between the management and the staff members. The latter were not aware that we booked an all-inclusive package till the date of checkout.
Another major issue that I faced while staying here is the food quality. They have a several pages long menu card where you will find the names of a range of Indian and chinese dishes. But I would recommend you not to experiment. They are only good at serving traditional Bengali dishes. And you can't expect a non-oily breakfast too. They only serve 2-3 breakfast items.
And there is a mess in the poolside too. They don't clean the seating arrangements surrounding the pool. So, you can't seat there without cleaning.
Overall, I think the place is a bit overhyped.
My rating is 3/5.

Few issues I had -

1) Delayed check-in
2) Staff not exactly trained. Not courteous.
3) Food including the buffet breakfast was not at all up to the mark
4) Multiple power failures (over 15mins)

The property in itself was nice with neat room and open spaces. However will not recommend given the above factors.

Nice place to visit in weekend from Kolkata. Spacious rooms, clean and hygienic environment, tasty food are additional attraction! A great place for get together!

আমাদের অফিস পিকনিক এর সৌজন্যে একটা দারুন জায়গায় যাওয়ার অভিজ্ঞতা হলো।
ডায়মন্ড হারবার যেতে একটা ভীষণ সুন্দর জায়গা। মনে হয় যেন শহর থেকে বহু দূরে এক মেঠো গ্রামে নেমে পড়েছি।
Breathing Earth, City rush এর থেকে দূরে এটা এক অপূর্ব resort। চারিদিকে natural beauty দিয়ে ঢাকা এই resort এক দারুন প্রাকিতিক পরিবেশ উপহার দেয়। চারিদিকে ছড়ানো সবুজ গাছ-গাছালি, kayaking, boating, hammock-এ বসে বই পড়তে থাকুন, কেউ disturb করার নেই। বাগানের তাজা ফল কেটে এনে দিলো ওখানের staff। আমার বন্ধুরা দূরে কোথায় যেন adventure sports শুরু করে দিয়েছে। আওয়াজ শুনতে পাচ্ছি। কিন্তু এতো সুন্দর, খোলা জায়গায় ওরা যে কোথায় লুকোচুরি খেলছে, আমি জানিনা।

পিছনে একটা জলাশয়, তার আশেপাশে বিভিন্ন পরিযায়ী পাখির আনাগোনা। বেশিরভাগই আমি চিনি না। শহরের কোলাহলে কোথায় আর পাখির ডাক শোনা যায় বলুন? চুপচাপ শুনলাম। ওরা আমায় গান শোনালো। ততক্ষনে swimming pool এর পাশে আমার বন্ধুরা খাবার আর পানীয় সহযোগে আড্ডা জমিয়েছে। আমাকে আর ছাড়েনা। গেলাম। খিদেও পেয়েছিলো। তখন বুঝলাম শুধু জায়গা নয়, Breathing Earth জানে পেট পুজোটাই আসল রাজা। Kebab, drinks, এলাহী breakfast. কি নেই সেখানে? ওদের নিজস্ব রেস্টুরেন্ট এ এলাহী আয়োজন। Indian, Mughlai, কোনটা ছেড়ে কোনটা খাবো lunch এ? ভাবতে ভাবতে আমাকে কখন যে ওরা pool এ ফেলে দিয়েছে বুঝতেই পারিনি। আর এবার এলো আমার adventure activities করার পালা। প্রায় তিন তলা থেকে (ভয়ের চোটে মনে নেই), আমাকে পুকুরের উপর দিয়ে জিপলিনে করে পাঠিয়ে দেওয়া হলো এপাশে। কিভাবে বেঁধে-ছেড়ে যেন আমাকে চালান করে দেওয়া হলো। ভয় যা পেয়েছিলাম, তা একদিকে কিন্তু জলের উপর almost পা ছুঁইয়ে অন্য পারে চলে আসার যা এক দারুন অনুভূতি. তা অসাধারণ! Breathing Earth এ আপনি বিভিন্ন adventure activities করতে পারেন. যেমন Kayaking, Archery, Zipline, Zorbing, আরো অনেক কিছু। আমার আর সমস্ত করার সাধ কুলোয়নি। আর একটা জিনিস দেখে খুব ভালো লাগলো সেটা হচ্ছে mud huts। শহরের বুকে থেকে এরম একটা rustic experience অসাধারণ লাগবেই। Overall, একটা সুন্দর দিন কাটলো।
ওদের ওখানে weekday তে গেলে special discount ও পাওয়া যায়।

A lovely place to spend a weekend with your near and dear ones. You get the feel of the nature here. Not many activities to do, just sit back and relax. They have a standard pool and lush green lawn and lots of greenery all around. And overall the hospitality.

It was a lovely experience to be there. Nice property. Very peaceful ambience. Rooms were definitely very good. Food was very delicious. Also, a good part is you can do lots of fun activities like boating, zip lining etc.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience to be there.

An ideal location for a weekend stay far away from the hustle bustle of city life. The cottages are built in true Bengali mud hut style and are fitted with modern amenities including a pool to lounge in. There are various outdoor activities that one can indulge in including Zip lines, archery, shooting, cycling and boating to name just a few. The food is very tasty and the service very hospitable.

For small outing this place is outstanding with friends family for events beautiful resort.and my favourite things food was super delicious.

Just came back. Nice location in the lap of nature. Good food, specious rooms, stuffs r very helpful and ready to serve. Outdoor activities are interesting and enjoyed by children and adults. Awesome place for a day or two days outing.

Fantastic resort for Corporate outbound programme or any events like family get together, party or one or two days outing. Place is nearer to Diamond harbour, West Bengal.

A paradise in the land of living. I spent my most favorite weekend here. Service is much better than any other place where I have visited till date. Will revisit again and will recommend it all my friends and family. Good job team Breathing Earth.

Nice ambiance, activity zone are good. Food variety need to be looked into, toilet attached to the conference rooms are not having urinals. Staff are courteous and helpful

We went there for dayouting and we thought that it will be a great day for us. Unfortunately it's a horrible experience in Breathing Earth. The foods quality are absolutely rubbish even in lunch the buffet system is so poor and unorganised that we have waited for a long time for the food. The hotel staffs are very rude and illiterate. They don't even know how talk with a guest. Overall experience was very bad.

I was at Breathing Earth with my family last weekend. It is a lovely place for a short outing. The staffs at Breathing Earth are very cooperative and trained. Rooms are very well kept. Cleanliness of the property is great. The food was awesome. One of the best places I have ever visited. I will definitely come back to this property time and again and request all my friends & family members for a visit. Great job done - Team Breathing Earth. Special thanks to Manager Sahab and Sunil (who served us at our room).

A calm & cozy place for family & small office picnic.

The food was of average quality but the employees are amateur and not professional in handling big party and events.

The pool is very small and also the area within needs sufficient lighting after sunset. The whole area becomes very dark after sunset
Rooms are spacious and quite comfortable though.

Overall i would give 2.5 stars in terms of investment v/s recreational return.

It is a serene place near Kolkata. Anybody can go for a long drive and spend a full day here with calm and quiet natural environment.

This is an awesome place for your family and friends. Complete entertainment center with delicious food and marvelous adventure games. Ideal place for party picnic, weekend tour etc. There are well trained staff with very welcoming attitude.
After all you can smell the original perfume of mother earth. Awesome swimming pool and boating facility make you happy.

Just you can fill life is too good and joyful.

The place is excellent. People are very very good they took lot of care of us. All staff members are very humble and always ready to serve you. The property is very very good with big room. They have a lot of activities like rock climbing, archery, rope ways, zip line etc. Swimming pool has jacuzzi. All in all it is a very good place to stay for the weekend near the city.

Great place for a weekend outing. The rooms are comfortable & tastefully done. The restaurant is small but the food is good. The few activities available are great past time for children, like archery, rifle shooting, boating, canoeing, swimming pool, zip line (rope sliding), cycling.

Great resort for a weekend getaway. Reviews are already up in youtube, check out the place. It feels a lot closer to nature. A nice big lake within the premises. Good provision for food and a place to stay.

Perfect example of how an awesome property goes down when the service is worst. Unprofessional staff, untrained service. Though room is very big, good swimming pool, we faced:

- 30mins waiting time at the restaurant to get our room (they don't have sitting capacity at reception) even after 1.5hrs after checking time

- Broken toilet seat

- Room serviced food was stale

- Did not see anyone cleaning the swimming pool at any time over a weekend

The best part we remember was there were no mosquitoes outside in evening.
