I have been there just to dine with my friends. I heard about this place, a very long time ago. Nevertheless, this time made the plan successful.
If you genuinely want to explore Kolkata, I would suggest to tag this location as it profusely describes the culture, the emotion and even the history of the City of Joy.
Definitely sit on the ground floor, as the first floor expresses the vibe of a marriage hall. You even get to experience a live band show if you pay a visit in the evening.
Their food is the best along with its prompt service. One of the quickest services I have experienced in Kolkata. We had Mustard Chicken- this one is mandatory to decree- with draught beer plus Peri Peri Fish, Fish Fingers and Tangra Chilli Prawn. I thoroughly cherished all of them.
Go for it guys. You will love it.

Good place to have some beer with food at the most reasonable price. Enjoyed chilli mustard chicken and a range of Chinese delicacies. It has a heritage of more than 80 years. But, the service is too slow and poor. It takes more than thirty minutes to serve your order from the time you place your order. So it is better to place whatever you want all at once.
A suitable place for meeting up with friends over foods and beverages at pocket friendly prices. I must mention the staffs are very courteous and provides prompt service. You can sit as long as you want.
Now a days Prawn Crackers which are served at Broadway doesn't have the flavour of prawn in it. When The matter was apprised to the manager of the restaurant he replied that they order the stuff from Pou Chong restaurant situated at Dalhousie Square kolkata. But no steps has yet been taken from the restaurant management. Even the tall owner doesn't seem to bother as it seems.
Had a lovely experience here. It has that old Kolkata type charm. The staffs are polite and drinks are cheap here. Loved the chill atmosphere here. Food is just fine. (tried one chicken and one French fry starter)
Super popular boozer, completely fallen out time. It's worth just coming to see this place for the atmosphere. The draft beer is quite expensive and tastes horribly of barrel and metal, so best to go for spirits here. Didn't try the food
Service is a big issue here, you have to keep looking for a waiter and even after placing order you have to wait for a long time to be served. Secondly no free snack is served with drinks which is not acceptable because the price of drink is not that low as compared to nearby bars. But the ambience is good and food is also tasty.
Food quality is ok considering the price point. Wine served @ modest pricing but the real advantage is the location. Bang on the g.c. Avanue- central avenue crossing in chadni chowk.
Very classy rooms, friendly management.worth every penny. Still water system was of Little disappointment. But it still is worth staying especially for business men
Really old ambience with exceptionally large and ventilated rooms. Bit expensive for ambience but have team of humble staff working there for over 30+ years. This hotel have advantage for its location. Quality of blankets and food can be improved. Ideal place for vintage experience.
Awesome nostalgic place. Reminds of the golden old days of then Calcutta. Finger licking snacks, with economical costume Ng drinks. Though the place needs a ramp over, however.it creates the same charm, as Olypub used to do some good long years back.
Very old hotel but fairly accommodated. 24hrs check-in time which is very rare of its kind presently in Kolkata. Staffs are well behaved and very cordial. Location is very good just adjacent to CR Avenue Metro station and being a road side hotel there are noises from transportations throughout the day. Overall nice experience staying here.
So far as stay is concerned, not upto the mark, specially booked online. The room given was very poor in 4 th floor. Not maintained. One can find many good hotels at 1456/- for double bed room in OYO. Not worth any star.
