I have been here numerous times and also order takeaway often. They also provide delivery and is legit one of my favourite places to eat at in Barrackpore. Although the menu mostly consists of common Chinese and Bengali and Indian dishes, most of the items that I've ordered are prepared well and taste amazing. The complaints I have regarding their food are very minor. For instance, I wish they'd serve some other dips with their starters other than ketchup and kasundi. Also, include some more kinds of coffees and beverages in their menu. Other than that, the food is very affordable and the only item that I think is a little bit on the pricier side considering the quality and the portion size is the sizzling brownie.
Coming to the ambience, the cafe is very spacious and well decorated. However, it is not air conditioned, which I believe is a conscious decision taken by the owners to keep the food prices affordable. This sometimes lead to a stuffy environment, especially in hot and humid weathers. I definitely recommend going during cooler months. They also have live music here sometimes.
The staff is courteous and polite, but the service can be a bit slow at times if the cafe is busy. Earlier, there was a young lady server who was very attentive and prompt. Ever since she has left, I feel the service has gone down a little. Recently, I visted the cafe for dinner and the service was even slower than usual despite it being relatively empty. I believe these are all things that can be taken care of and the cafe has the potential to achieve even more in the coming days.
It's one of the best cafes in Barrackpore presently. The ambience of the place was good enough but ACs should be set up which would have made it more enjoyable in summers.
We arrived at Cafe Barrackpore with no expectations. We had an amazing dinner such as a beautiful restaurant with and fantastic decorations. Manu special presentation top of the tastes, food is one of the best I ever experienced, thank for great and friendly service with teasty food. Highly recommend if you are around cannot be missed!
I am a frequent visitor to this place. Ironically the first item in their starter menu is never available. The place is under-staffed, hence delivery is often delayed. Otherwise only good things to say about this place - tasty food, nice interior and positive vibes!
One of the newest cafés at Barrackpore with a very unique theme of depicting the culture of Bengal since eras. The interior is very aesthetically pleasing as the walls are hand painted with the Bengali culture. Moreover the food is quite good at a very affordable price and the portions are also quite generous. I’m not a coffee person though I like the taste of cappuccino here. The momos, fish cutlet and dry chilli chicken is a must try. The vibe of this cafe is really different and good to give it a try.
Half cooked food, novice stuff not paying any attention to simple orders. Just avoid this one. I generally don't post negative reviews of eateries, but this one is an exception.
Lack of Information from the waiter. But the taste of the food is good. I think they don't have A. C. Music is good but loud. And, I have ask them several times for water. They wear busy but they should take care of it. And the decorations is good
Specifically, the boneless chicken items were perfectly boiled, I mean, One can easily hold the piece with a fork and take smooth bite, without letting the food dangle around ur mouth
We visited this place couple of times and it was great. But we had a not so good experience yesterday. We had asked them to arrange small kids birthday party. Food was not good as earlier. Shortage of staffs. Overall management and food quality not at all good. We went there with good expectations but. Anyway will avoid this place next time. Hope they will improve their quality in near future.
The ambience was very good. The decorations of the cafe was good. I had rosted crispy chicken, it was good, tender. I only have one problem to say that the price range is a bit high.
Service is very poor. Manager is very arrogant and unable to manage. One girl staff was working hard and no other staff was there to support her. I respect her. We had to wait 1hour for dinner. Do not come here and waste your time. Time is precious.
Loved the ambience (good music) and the quirky, insta-worthy decor. Ordered coffee (both regular and cold) and fish fingers - tasty and pocket-friendly. The service takes the cake. Our server; a sweet, ever-smiling young woman (probably related to the owner) was extremely polite, well-mannered and attentive. A Saturday evening well-spent.
