It's a perfect little cozy cafe for a coffee date or a snack. The menu here is not elaborate but it's enough to fulfill your cravings. The decor is cute too. Pricing is a little on the high side but considering the location, can't complain.
Highly recommend place! They serve really scrumptious dishes, Little but a cosy ambiance, You get authentic dishes here, Lastly would say it's not pocket friendly but yes the quality and the food they serve is top notch
Amazing place with de-li-ci-oussss food. Love it P. S. - please consider installing a fly catcher near your outside seating area. Otherwise it'll be impossible to seat outside specially in winters.
Cafe courtyard is a cute little cozy space which also serves breakfast and has very affordable food rates.
We ordered garlic bread and french fries along with oreo shake and mojito. The staff behavior was good but they accidentally served us chicken garlic bread instead of cheesy veg garlic bread but they sincerely replaced it.
Overall a lovely experience and will be definitely visiting the area.
Quaint and cozy little place, gives a very homely vibe. The food was really tasty and the portions were okay for two people to share. The service is a little slow because there are only two people managing the kitchen. We ate shakshuka eggs (with cheese toast) and ham swiss roll, and cold coffee. 10/10 recommend these dishes.
We have been following this place since it opened. Finally, last month got the chance to visit it. And, what a place! The food was awesome.the first flush Darjeeling tea and the coffee were great. We felt at home with the ambience and the wonderful service. Super recommended - Porky pork and fish pie. We are definitely going to visit for more.
Cafe courtyard could be the perfect destination to spend quality time with your dearest ones with the lipsmacking continental delicacies they offer. We tried Classic pan cake, Fish n Roll and Chicken Pockets. 1. Classic Pan Cake, served with honey icing was perfectly cooked, soft and melted in the mouth. 2. Chicken Pockets, slices of chicken with cheese rolled in Sliced bread was delicious. 3. Last but not least, Fish n Roll was the standout, Starting from the quality of bhetki fish to the lemon flavoured filling and crunchy coating, it was splendid. This item is served with French fries and Sauce. Highly recommended ️
A very small and cosy cafe with very limited seating options. We tried the English breakfast and pancakes. The food was awesome. I lived in UK for six years but when I tasted the English breakfast and pancakes here, it felt like I am tasting the food in England. I would definitely go back again to taste other food there.
Not a recommended place at all. Food quality, portion, serving time, space, atmosphere are all below standard. That too with a hefty charge! Neither the 3 guys are capable enough to serve you the food which are shown in the menu card. I think the owners did not put adequate focus to this business. I'm not going to this space again.
We went for a quick snack and some chat in the evening. The place is close to Axis mall and is a quaint little place to sit down. We wanted to have a light snack.
The outside sitting area is nice but can be a bit noisy if people are there. Regarding the food the hot chocolate tasted almost like bournvita. It just was not good. Additionally we had chicken cheese roll which was a quite average but nothing special. The cheese was okay. The service was slow but we did not mind as we wanted to sit for a while. A lot of people were having tea and chicken wings which might have been better.
Overall a average experience but the place is nice.
Café Courtyard has a lot in common compared to any roadside cafeteria in a European Hamlet. Ask me why?
1. It’s cosy and not at all crowded. 2. It has a lovely open-air sitting arrangement with a canopy overhead. 3. The place is away from the din and bustle of the city. 4. Lot of greeneries around and good for the lovey-dovey people. 5. Unmatched and out of the box food.
The place is very close to Biswa Bangla Gate in New Town and as soon as you reach Café Courtyard, the aura and the hue give you a complete different feeling. Then and there, you realize why this is a signature place if you want to enjoy your morning cuppa, or an evening coffee. Both the interiors and exteriors are done in white to give you a soothing feeling as well as allowing enough natural light to peep in and play.
This winter, try their continental breakfast on weekend, or holiday mornings. Apart from that taste Chicken A La Kiev, Ham Cigars, Fish n Chips, Fish Steak, Spaghetti Bolognese, Ham Swiss Roll, Foamlettes, and the Red Velvet Cake from the Dessert. Do not miss out their coffee to start with, or at the end. And yes, try their Basket of Fries which was launched just before puja. There are a lot of mix and match options. A combo for two will cost you somewhere in between Rs. 330 to Rs. 450.
A tiny hole in the wall place that you might not take a second look at, but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their food. Hungry after a trip to eco-park, we headed here for a quick cuppa. Had their pasta which was excellent. The sauce wasn't the garden variety melange of overloaded cheese/thickened with flour kind. It was well made and creamy. The coffee was decent (of course not craft coffee but good enough for a machine variety one) Definitely recommend this place for their food.
Cute cozy cafe with outer sitting area. We ordered hot chocolate, cappuccino, french fries & garlic bread. Hot chocolate was really good & the french fry was freshly made. The other two items were okayish.
The Cafe is a compact package. The food was good. The price was on the moderate side. Not too high not cheap as well. The sitting capacity was very limited.
Had good variety of Mocktails. Even pork is served over here. The location is bit odd but overall it was a good experience in this cafe.
Small little cute cafe in new town. The breakfast meal r real affordable Cold coffee with raspberry not that good Staffs are not well trained Ambience is good Very well decorated Can turn out to be a amazing place with few changes
Really, chicken burger is horrible! You can see in attached photos. Taste also not good & very difficult to handle. Pizza was okay blueberry smoothie drinks also not very good. After today's experience, i will not recommend anyone or never go to this place! Over rated and over priced place!
This is a small cozy cafe with absolutely delicious food. The ambience is very nice. You can sit in an open area and it's beside the road. We have tried coffee, tea, chicken and chips. The food was amazing.
Ambience: 3/5 (on a main road, not a quite place) Decor: 5/5 (excellent, aesthetic) Food variety: 4/5 (you get plenty of choices) Food taste: 4/5 (Great, must try Cordon bleu) Food quantity: 3/5 (enough for 1.5 persons) Budget: 3/5 (it's actually costly, you've to spend 200 rupess for 2 cups of Chai- Darjeeling tea ofcourse! If for full meal, ₹800-900/- for 2 persons)
Overall, a place I recommend to hop in with friends, sometimes.
Not sure about the reviews of others, but I am really love the taste of foods at this cafe. The dining place is too small. However, in respect of cafe, it is okey. But the taste of side dishes.ohh, I really love all the items I have tasted till date. The cafe is bit expensive no doubt. As per the costing some may feel that ambience is not at per. But considering the taste of food only, that might be acceptable.
Fancy to have the Christmas served in a bowl! Go for Gendrys Bowl of Brown in this quaint li'l café. Inspired by the famous GoT theme and infused with all the goodness of mushroom, broccoli and meat balls (in a creamy gravy), this dish stands out to be the dish befitting for a windy wintry evening. Although the dish/bowl serves two souls perfectly well, but, don't be too harsh on yourself if you finish it off (till the last drop) all by yourself:) And if you have a big heart and a bigger appetite, you would certainly yell (quiet in your mind) "yeh dil mange more" - just like that old Pepsi ad. Ohh! And do try their other items too. Nobody said "less is more" (and even if they did, just don't effing care)
This is relatively a new café. The café is small but very cute. As the name suggests, it has a nice little courtyard with three tables and a very beautiful interior also with some tables. The overall ambience is really beautiful. This place is suitable for hangout, adda and for date too. Now coming to food, they have wide range of selection. We had Darjeeling tea first flush and a la Kiev. Tea was excellent and Kiev was delicious. They have some food options with game of thrones theme. If we talk about price, it seems little pricier to me. It could have been little less, say on an average ₹50 for main courses. The behaviour of the staffs are nice, but service is late. That section needs to be improved. Overall it's really nice.
Nice place for hangout. The place is a bit small but nicely managed. Staffs are very courteous.only thing is the turn around time for food was slightly high.but quality was definitely good
Adorable little place, especially if you wanna take yourself out on a solo date. They also have free wifi so you can work. They are also pet friendly which is a huge plus for me!
This friendly cosy place is a revelation. Has opened recently but already is the best continental themed café in Newtown. The Courtyard Pie and the Ham Cigars deserve special mentions, but one thing that really makes this place a great Café is the finest coffee that I have had in post covid times.
Place is good. Nice ambience. They really have to relook their pricing and the items they serve. Afterall one would return if they like the food and feel they had been charged fairly. Ambience and fancy menu items only might not bring repeat customers.
Hope and wish the owner takes this review positively.
Love for black coffee and continental food took me to a new cafe. Yes agree because of my good relations with the chef took me to this cafe but still I feel that if I don't love coffee, I would hve skipped going there for few more days. Back to my review, this is my 1st time writing experience about any eating place. To start with" parked my car and saw the decore of the cafe, it blew my eyes and I started liking it. " 2nd, the taste of black coffee is still there on my palate. I was not alone, my 6 yrs old daughter was with me. For kids it's tough to decide what they want to eat so she got her favourite cheese with fresh fries. She thoroughly enjoyed her food and bumped into my burger as well. My craving for burger for last few days pushed me to order that (however I am more of a sandwich person then a burger person) but today I thanked my senses that I choose it.overloaded cheese falling from the piramid gives an amazing look and the taste was mind blowing. Last but not the least "the submarine cake" from a NGO took me to the next level of respect for all who are involved to make this Cafe Courtyard a place of belonging. Special thanks to Abhishek, Anirban and Sudarshana to give that personal touch to each and every customer who visited the cafe. Looking forward for the breakfast options for weekends. Coming back next week to try some more dishes and my black coffee. Ofcourse my daughter will be my partner to experience some other exotic dish. Best wishes are there for all of you.
The place offers an unique gastronomic experience where you can engage in an interactive conversation with the chef while enjoying the food. The cafe offers fusion food, some wonderful collection of tea and coffee in. The decor is colonial The Belgian fries, buffalo wings, Courtyard pie and Turkish delight are must try
Visited today. Tried out quite a few dishes and overwhelmed with the taste of each one of them. Great decor in the interior part of the cafe, and the outside seating area is equally brilliant. Courtyard pie, courtyard fries, Fish Steak, Turkish delight, Courtyard kiss are must tries. Definitely gonna go back there to try out some more. ️
A nice place to hangout in the heart of Newtown, first of its kind of cafe in the area. Really liked the food a lot and desserts are something to watch out for.
Had a great gastronomical experience yesterday at Cafe Courteyad. The Victorian style decore will entice you on the first place. Then comes their colonial cuisines. We have tried quite a few from their menu like Belgian fries, Buffalo fingers, Courteyad Pie.then comes the sweetest part of it. Turkish Delight which is just heaven. Digging onto every spoon of it is so tempting. Will visit soon to taste some more of their offerings.
Cafe Courtyard's continental dishes are quite unique and flavorsome. An elegant interior with the hues of white and green, makes the ambiance warm and elegant for dining. The authentic delicacies, reasonable pocket pinch and the courtesy of the owners, would invariably be the enticing factors for me to dine again in this place.
European style ambience and well curated cuisine. The exquisite nature of the ingredients and food taste are noteworthy and convey a sincere passion of the house owners and the Chef. Overall, a culinary delight.
If you're looking for a place which serves lip smacking continental food, brilliant decor and warmth of the owners - this is the place to be. Planned to have evening snacks but as the food served was so delicious, couldn't resist and had a full course meal instead Must try: Courtyard pie and Turkish delight!
An excellent place for hangout. Absolutely amazing ambience. Ambience would definitely make you feel like you are relaxing at a roadside European Cafe. Excellent and affordable food and beverages. The most interesting part is that each food on the menu card has a connection to the heritage of Kolkata. A must visit for all!
I have tried the cold brew cranberry coffee, Sparkling Americano. Both were unique for me and are amazing beverages. In main courses Courtyard pie is what I tried & it was again something different as a dish to me and pretty delicious. I will have to mention the desserts Courtyard kiss and Turkish delight.the sweetness is fantastically balanced and the flavour of the spices in turkish delight with the chopped roasted nuts on it were really delightful. Beautiful place for a cosy hangout in new town with awesome food.
I have been staying in this area for long and have always wondered where to take a tea or coffee break or have some snacks in and around CB block whenever I used to pass by. Cafe Courtyard comes as a savior for people like us. I stopped by Cafe Courtyard yesterday, the first look at it from outside gives you a feel good factor. Nice European style to sooth your eye. Interior again commensurate to the first look. Nice cosy and soothing feeling. Now let's come to the primary purpose, the food and beverage. First of all the owner Sudarshana was so humble and welcoming. You feel as if it's a humane and family like touch. The chef was so helpful and even went over and above to suggest the best choice we could go for after knowing our taste bud. We were a family with kid so wanted to have something for all of us. We are not a black coffee person, but gave it a try here. I ordered Cafe Americano and my wife Cafe Moca. I have to admit I would go back here for black coffee again. My whole perception towards Black coffee changed. Moca was awesome as well. I ordered french fries for my kid and the chef was humble and accomodating to alter the standard dish as per our preference to satisfy the kid and keep it healthy. We next ordered Courtyard pie and Creamy fish dishes. Our taste buds were thrilled with delight. I can go back again and again for their pie. They are wholesome dish and comes withashed potato, rice/bread and salad along with the speciality dish. So you can definitely fulfill youself during lunch or dinner. To end it we ordered a Turkish Delight. Another marvel in their kitty. Just wow. Every bite seems to tell a story on its own. I am just amazed. 100% recommending to all. Well nothing ends without price right! For a full course dinner with Coffee, fries, 2 main course and a dessert it was about 1100/- for a family of 3. To me it's a great value for money. The order portions just perfect for us to share. Great ambiance and corteous behaviour. To sum it up. Don't wait just go there and feel it yourself.
