Carnival Cinemas

The back row is very uncomfortable! The food is not so good either! Restrooms need renovation.

Is carnival cinemas closed? Or does it not function anymore? Can anyone help? Where do we get the the list of movies currently running?

They are having a hard time maintaining the theatre in the post covid world. The tickets are quite cheap, based on which the movie experience is satisfactory. But the cheese popcorn smelt of cheap oil and was a huge turn off.

Went to the movies the first time since lockdown. It was a 8.45pm show and there was only 7 people, including me in the whole hall.
I hope they're surviving the way they should!

Visited here long back, to watch the movie Sultan. Ticket pricing was okay and it was overall a good experience. Location of the place is an added advantage.

The movie screen was awesome as well as the sound system. The seats were comfortable as well. Food was ok-ish.

It's a good, but there food cost is too high not for medille class environment and management is too good

Very well decorated place situated in Salt lake, Kolkata. Security system is very good and behavior also.

Absolutely a new experience, a mall or Cineplex experience without a huge crunch out of ones pocket. A must visit place for movie buffs like me ND additional advantage is that they run shows as late as 11: 55pm!

Horrible Experience at Carnival Cinema Kolkata (Salt Lake)
1. There was no AC in the waiting lounge.
2. The AC inside the hall was not working properly.
3. They started the movie but did not put off the lights even after being requested to.
4. The sound and picture quality and clarity was not upto the mark of a 3D hall.
I will never recommend anyone.

Food is costly than actual
No free Water
3D Effect is not considerable and dusky
Seating space is not comfortable
Sound is not compact

Overall not worth for money in 3D Movies.

Worst 3D experience. Glasses old and scratched. Same glasses given from old shows without any cleaning. Sound system old and ineffective. Prices same as other high class theatres. Disgusted.

Worst quality of 3D movies. Destroyed completely my viewing experience of Avengers Endgame. Picture quality is worst.and d glasses provided are of third class. Completely blurred. Nd the side of theatre is much smaller than the single screen theatre

Few days ago.i had watch avengers endgame in 3D! Seriously.the screen quality is so bad & its allover dark on the screen.cinepolis is much much better. Very disappointed! With infinity war i had same experience.

Just excellent. Get yourself a moviecard and enjoy movies for free for a month. The quality of the theaters is excellent and so is the quality of the premium looking seats. If you're someone who watches movies alot then don't miss out on this one if you live nearby.

I used to go to Carnival Cinemas ~5 to 7 years ago and again very recently & I can see the clear downslide on the focus of cleanliness and comfort.

It used to be my go-to place earlier because it was very cheap and close to my place. Also it used to be one of the only options for me in Salt Lake. But in the recent years, RDB Cinemas has become a major competitor at the same price and it also much better maintained than Carnival Cinemas.

At Carnival Cinemas, the stench of the common waiting area and food stalls was almost unbearable. Despite having notified of the bad odour, the staff did nothing to rectify it. At the cinema seats were stiff and simply uncomfortable to watch a movie in. Even the supposedly "luxurious" recliner chair reeked terribly.

After having this experience, I will surely NOT be returning to this theatre ever again.

Totally disappointed by the screen quality, low brightness, sound quality okish, blurred out screen, 3D is much worse, can't see anything properly. Movie started before the show time no interval time limit they suddenly start the movie and take time to turn off the lights. Recommend no one to watch movie there, you will totally get disappointment.

The worst movie theater I guess! I went over to watch Avengers: Endgame on the first day, but the experience was the worst Tor say the least. Within the 1st 2 mins I had almost convinced myself to get out of the place because of the horrendous projection. The screen was so dim that with the 3d glasses on you can hardly see anything in detail. Secondly the first two or three rows of the extremely small theater (where I had my seat in the second row) was so bad that even with the recliner seats one is bound to have neck pains after a while! Absolutely ridiculous.

Dirty place.they don't switch on AC. Poor ambience.dirty cinema hall.broken shabby chairs with no leg space.

Cheapest multiplex experience in town. If you want to watch movie and no fuss, come here on Mon-Wed.

Sitting arrangement, sound system, screen is so well and well managed. Located in cozy place. And also the ticket fair is reasonable.

Budget friendly multiplex.not recommended for 3D movies.gold seats starts with 150/-
The food available is also budgeted and the restrooms are also clean but they need a bit maintanance.
Overall nice experience at low price. Below the multiplex there are many places for kids, cafe, big bazaar.

3rd floor of the building.not too visible had to ask for directions and a little complicated access. Seating quality and viewing angles are pretty great as are the acoustics. Not a very good place for 3d viewing though. Affordable and enjoyable for family and friends too

The mall is well-maintained as well as the cinema halls and areas beside it. One wouldn't feel any problem in watching the movies, but there's a shortage of space between two adjacent rows of seats in the hall. Thee staffs were so helpful and the foods available there were tasty and not-so expensive. After all it's one of the most visited cinema halls in the Kolkata. I would suggest all of you to come, have fun with your friends and family.

The Place is comparatively good, especially the prices of the shows.
The value for money experience is what keeps it running.

Earlier its was Brodway Cinema later taken over by Carnival Group.

Nice big screen with an average sound system (Some find decent & some don't)

Gold seat were good.but from my past visits i did come across problems in there recliner seats. I did complained & they provided me the differences of lower class seats.

Overall: You gonna enjoy the movie with your loved one!

They do have enough Parking space (Paid)

Suprise - Big Bazaar on the ground floor & some fast food shop for your hunger!

Good place to watch movie. But finding the place inside the building is a tough job if you visit for the first time.

This place is good to watch movies but the problem is that you wont get auto to reach this place.
You have to book a cab for it.

Not a good place if you have a problem with leg or old and can't climb stairs. Screen quality and audio quality is not good. Foods available are of worst quality.

The reason why I don't visit this place.
1. All movie look dark. Brightness is not there.
2. Poor audio quality.
3. Seating chair is unhygienic.
4. Very expensive food.
5. Long Intermission.

Its cheaper option with overall good cinema experience. You can jolly well opt for if you want to view many movies in short span of time and still do not want that much pocket pinch. 4 stars for budget yet multiplex like feel.
