Overall a good experience, all kinds of veggies, fish, eggs, meats are available. Fruits, groceries, Puja items all are available. But I need more tidyness and space to move around.
A normal kolkata', s fish and grocery market. The market remain open from monday to saturday from 5.30 Am to 10pm and at sunday from 5.30 am to 2 pm but occasionally on sunday it remain open at evening.

It is a good market for daily shopping, especially groceries and fresh vegetables. The prices are reasonable. Location is easy to go, near Beadon Street Post Office, Beadon Street Crossing, nearby Girish Park Metro Station. The market is open everyday except Sunday evening.
Chatu Babur Bazar is a very renowned marketplace at the North Kolkata. Apart from hosting a daily vegetable and fish market in its premises, it also hosts the Charak festival, every year on one day before the Bengali new year (15th or 14th April). In Charak, a Hindu festival of exhibiting devotion, performers show dangerous stunts and emerge alive with the blessing of lord Shiva.

Part of Bengali culture, Charak festival is observed here on the last day of Bengali calender. After month long fasting, the devotees perform various dangerous activities.
