The food is expensive with respect to ots quantity. The service is not good and quantity given is inappropriate. Not recommended for those who values money. The service staffs are unprofessional.

Their service is too slow. Waiting for half an hour for just a single masala dosa order and asking me 2 mins from the time of order. There are so less service man.full of chaos with Zomato order and restaurant order. They are not good in management.

South indian food is really good. If you are in Kharagpur (near prembazar) must try this place for south indian food. I have tried papri chart, coconut rice, chicken side dish.

I have ordered poori, jeera aloo and payes (rice kheer). The order took a bit of extra time to get delivered but it was nice and warm. The aloo jeera was very nice and the sweetness of the payes was to the point. The pooris could have been better. Another thing is that the poori and aloo jeera are always a combo. If it could be ordered separately then it would have been better as it would leave us with a choice of number of pooris as well as we could order other items like paratha with aloo jeera. Packaging was also very nice.

Dakshin restaurant is nice place for South Indian foods.as taste Delicious food.specially Dosa.

You can find a variety of authentic south indian cuisines here, tried the Schezwan dosa, it was great!

Quality Southern Indian cuisine. The only downside being a considerably long waiting period post ordering.

One of the best locations to get south Indian foods and thalies in Prembazar and IIT Kharagpur surroundings. The quality of the food serverd is okay considering the price they're charging you. The interior is clean and minimalist, staffs are polite, manager is decent too. During this COVID situation, you can use zomato to order from here, or call them directly if you're in a 3 km radius within the restaurant. Recommend.

This place is good for veg food.clean and tasty. Staffs are nice, ambience is good. But renovation is going on.so no rest room for now.

Very good quality food I got here. In KHARAGPUR it was unexpected expectation. But DAKSHIN give me the opportunity to get a great quality of food. Thank you DAKSHIN. Wish you a great journey ahead.

It's just superb, its my favorite restaurant of all the time. All the dishes are just magic. I would recomend everyone to try atleast once and surely you would like it

My first try for Coconut Rawa Dosa here wasn't that bad. It was unusual though. The quantity of coconut stuffed was too much, could have added little bit of spices in it (just a suggestion). They do serve a variety of Dosa and Rawa Dosa here. Hoping to visit here soon to try Pizza Dosa and Paper Dosa.

Best place in Kharagpur for South Indian Cuisine. 29 types of Dosa available.tried Plain Masala Dosa, Coconut onion Dosa, Butter cheese Masala Dosa, Mushroom Dosa and Idli with Sambar. Every single one of the item is tasty as well as delicious. Price is also within acceptable range. Staff behaviour is good, ambience is perfect.cashless payment available. Only problem I faced is regarding toilet.due to some recent renovation work rest room is not available as of right now. U only get wash basin with water.:)

Best place for vegetarians. The owner is very sincere and considerate towards his customers, which makes the place very warm and welcoming. Its been 20 days i have moved to Kharagpur and have eaten at this place for about 5 times. Will visit again.

Good place with good food. Almost every menu tastes good, specially the dosa. It would be better if the waiting time is reduced.

South indian food is quite palatable. But the service is too slow which is expected to be improved.

I have tasted various types of dosas.and by far mushroom dosa is the best of lot as per my taste. The chutney and sambar are equally good. Even though a little expensive, it is definitely worth trying

As far as IIT kgp campus is concerned, it is the best place for south indian food. I ate here Lemon rice, poha and had tea. All these were good. Tea here is best and they give full glass (around 150 to 200 ml) of tea at just 10 rs and of very good quality. Owner and service staff are kind. They have got varieties of Dosas and Uttapam that I haven't tried. Like to visit again to try those.
