I visited Desi lane for the First time. Food quality was Awesome. Our Host Satadru take good care of us, his Recommendation was Fantastic, I tried chicken Lak me Kai, Crispy Fried Chilli Chicken, American Corn Salt and Pepper from his suggestion and it's fab.also the cocktails and Mocktails of his suggestion was unique and Mesmerizing.will visit again soon. They are scamming people. This should be shut down immediately. Fraud stufff. Scamming people on the name of happy hours. It seems people has to tell the waiter that they want to opt for happy hours. Else they will charge the normal rate. The best part is they don't have any regular water. You have to buy it.

Ideal place to hang out with friends. The food items were really lip-smacking. But half of the drinks in the happy hours menu were not available and that was a bit disappointing.

Chilli Garlic fried noodles
Dry chilli chicken
Fish in Hot Garlic Sauce
Lemon Chicken

Place was quite good. Food is also yum!
I personally recommend their Murgh Tangri Kebab absolutely delicious.

Probably the cheapest bar in town. Needs more maintenance for the alipore branch. Otherwise if you want to get wasted then it's definitely a go to place. Foods are also pocket friendly.

Nice ambience with pocket friendly hard drinks and starters however main courses dishes specially (Chinese) is worst!

The most disgraceful place I have ever visited is this place. The amazing so called manager can insult you (with all his heart) anytime and everytime when you will be in a queue to get a table!

Last day we (we 5 boys) went there and waited for like 1hr and 10 mins. But when a group of 4 girls came there they just have accepted them. So in today's world full of equality, we boys still are facing so much of priority and extra care!

Awsome place, full of masti, fun, disc was awsome. Interior was fab, lovely place for enjoying nght life.

The Ambience is nice so is their management love the drinks however I would have appreciated more options in happy hours menu. Apart from that everything is good.

It's a worst place. Worst management and behaviour of staff's also pathetic. I suggest not to visit this place if someone have self respect.

Bad behaviour. Very disappointed with the behaviour we have got from them.
They usually select to enter by seeing face or profile. Thats really disappointing.

Nice embience, good food. But main issue reliase on the staff behavior. Very rude, arrogant way to handle guest. Lady at the front desk is the only well behaved person.

One of the worst place in South Kolkata if u wanna hangout. The staffs were so pathetic as I was leaving from the place one of the crew stopped and asked for the bill, when I showed him the swiped recipet he was arguing and asking me to bring the stamped bill. These people don't even respect customers as I informed him it's on the table he was like u need to carry the stamped bill while leaving and one of the most hilarious was the pizza margherita with tomato toppings have any one heard about these kind of toppings. Be aware with these kind of places.

Worst place. Horrible stuffs specially security. They are very very rude. They even asked to leave tht place bcuz its housefull. Very disappointed

Cheap pub with cheap mentality.then won't allow Bengali's to enter the pub even when the pub is kolkata.keep away from the pub.time has come.lets show it.

Though located in slightly off side of kolkata still easily reachable and must visit to fresh your mood and mind. Keep enjoying. Keep chilling. Be in mood.rock the party. Party hard.

A very good bar cum restaurant. The price of drinks, hookah and food are very reasonable. A very good place to booze with friends.

Very bad pub! Cheap mentality. They have attitude problem. They do very cheap behaviour with customers.

They have worst service. The food quality is very very bad, it was so terrible could eat more than a spoonful. They need to change the chef at the earliest. The service and ambiance was very bad. They r rude. I don't recommend this place at all.

Nice lively place.food is tasty.for drought beer they have precise scale.not even 1ml extra you will get, overall enjoyed the place

This is very much disappointing to know that they use to select profile for entering the pub by judging face/community. I have seen in front of my eyes that, they have rejected to enter few people only because of cast. This should not be a the case in a city like Kolkata. We really proud of the city but few people are doing this. Anyways food is decent but behavior should be good apart from the lady at the front desk.

Everything is fine. But if you want to get buffet, you need to ping them on FB a day before. We went there, but didn't got the buffet, as we didn't knew about this. Otherwise, it's good. Happy hours is awesome

One star is too f**king more for the joint.they give entry on basis of looks or what not. I don't know.that security guard is a little f*ck. Keep away from visiting the cheap pub.

Desi Lane has revamped itself and is back with a new look. This place is located in Alipore and is one of the most happening places in South Kolkata.

The decor is amazing and the ambience is praiseworthy.

The items tried are as follows -

Plunter's punch - This was a cocktail. This was made with dark rum, juices etc.

Thai Basil Chicken - This was a scrumptious starters.

Hakka Noodles The noodles were delicious. The ratio of meat to noodles was maintained well.

Butter Garlic Chicken - It may seem as a weird combination with noodles, but it went really well with the noodles. The chicken was soft and juicy.

Darsaan with Vanilla Ice-Cream - This is one of my favourite desserts and it led to a great conclusion of a delectable evening.

The staff was warm and amiable. I will definitely visit again.

Enter into a more mordern Desi Lane with great interior and space in there. The food is lip smacking and won't disappoint you in any way.
Following are some dishes that you can definitely give a shot:
1. Scarlet Lady - an amazing refreshing drink with the blend of sugar and lime in a perfect manner. Really refreshing.
2. Desi Aloo Tikki - Oh my God moment. If you have been missing those street food touch or the hand made aloo Tikki at home, you have ordered the right thing! It's delicious and goes straight to your heart.
3. Peri Peri Chicken: Spice and chicken. Couldn't ask for anything more.
4. Bell pepper fried rice - rice with a decent amount of time of bell peppers and other spices in it. Add in a good gravy like diced veg scezwan and you are ready to go?
5. Darshan with Vanilla ice cream - if you are craving something simple yet sweet, this will indeed hit your sweet spot.

All in all, a must go for everyone!

Desi Lane, Alipore got a whole new makeover and FoodZpah was there to join in the party a few days back. The place has got a new vibe to it and is sure to soon become a crowd puller.

Very Easy to locate.
