Historical memories. Huge area, nice gate, status and little bit horror nature in building site.

I have nothing new to say about the gaibe garden as more or less of us know the place well. The journey of this place started in the year 1742 when the entire place was under sundarban area with dence forest.

"Baganbari of the Gaine" one of the biggest attraction of Dhanyakuria.
This beautiful vintage castle is the garden retreat of the Gaine's family. It was built by Mahendranath Gaine, and is the biggest attractive of Dhanyakuria Village.
I went here last december. The gate was usually locked for everyone, but we were lucky enough that day. It is a very big place and could be more beautiful if it was maintained. There is a small pond in the middle and the whole place were covered with tall grasses. It took us 15-20 min to reach the castle which was locked for many years. The sight was spooky and lil frightening giving it a proper feel of some kind of haunted place. But there was nothing to be afraid expect some big ants and insects. I wish the government can restore it as a heritage site.

Breathtakingly beautiful castle on the Taki road. However, u r not allowed to entre without police permission. Nonetheless, the gate itself worth visiting.

Went to Dhanyakuria after reading about its beautiful manors and their history.

Even if you can't get into the other jamindar bari (there are three to be precise - gayen bari which is accessible, sahoo bari - going by its splendid thakurdalan this one is the winner, ballav bari - the most awful caretaker), you should try visiting this place for this one grand beauty.

An European style castle gate welcoming you from the roadside. And the inside ambiance is very peaceful.

Amazing, never knew such royal architectures are there within a very small distance from Kolkata, worth a visit. Would be thankful if maintenance is looked upon at.

This mansion is the landmark of Dhanyakuria.   Rai Bahadur title was awarded to zamindar Ashutosh Gaine. The honor of Rai Bahadur is earned during the British Raj for performing great service in visionary leadership to the nation.

জায়গাটা উত্তর ২৪ পরগনার বসিরহাট লোকসভার অন্তর্গত. প্রধানত পুরোনো রাজবাড়ী ও ৩টি জমিদার বাড়ি এই এলাকার মুখ্য আকর্ষণ. টাকি রোডের পাশেই পুরোনো রাজবাড়ীটি ও তার সিংহদুয়ার অটুট অবস্থায় আছে, বিনা অনুমতিতে প্রবেশ নিষেধ. আর জমিদারবাড়ি ৩টি একটু ভিতরে. এই ৩টি বাড়ি হল গায়েন বাড়ী, সাউ বাড়ী, বল্লভ বাড়ী. ৩টি জমিদার বাড়ীতেই প্রাচীনকাল থেকে নিজস্ব দুর্গাপুজো হয়. বংশের উত্তর পুরুষরা সকলেই পুজোর সময়টা এই বাড়িগুলোতে ফিরে আসেন. ৩টি জমিদার বাড়ির মধ্যে পায়ে হেঁটে দূরত্ব ১৫মিনিটের মত.
যাত্রাপথ - ট্রেনে গেলে শিয়ালদহ থেকে হাসনাবাদ লোকালে কাঁকরা মির্জানগর স্টেশনে নেমে অটো ধরতে হয়. অটোতে প্রায় ২৫মিনিট সময় লাগে, ভাড়া ১৫টাকা. আর গাড়ি বা বাসে গেলে বারাসাত হয়ে টাকি রোড ধরে দেগঙ্গা, বেড়াচাঁপা পার করে ধান্যকুরিয়া. টাকি রোড় থেকে জমিদার বাড়ি অবধি যাওয়ার জন্য মোটর ভ্যান আছে, সময় লাগে ১০মিনিট মত, ভাড়া নেয় ২০টাকা.
একদিনে গিয়ে একদিনেই ফিরে আসা যায়, তবে অবশ্যই ট্রেনে যাওয়ার আগে শিয়ালদহ- হাসনাবাদ লাইনে আপ-ডাউন ট্রেনটাইম দেখে নেবেন.

Situated just beside taki road the Dhanyakuria gaine garden house is a hidden gem in rural Bengal. The house was built in the image of royal houses in England. Though visitors are not allowed in here you see the majestic house from outside quite clearly. If properly maintained and taken take of this could become a famous tourist destination in future.

It's not exactly on Dhankuriya Gaine Garden, it's about Dhankuriya. It was a very prosperous place during British era. So many old and gorgeous buildings (I cannot tell the architecture styles), zamindar House, Nayeb House etc. The place has a huge potential to become a potential tourist spot in West Bengal. Ministry of Tourism of West Bengal should cast some attention to this. Other than that for History students and Architecture students it is a must visit place.
