Digha Saikatabas

Very near to the beach. Front Desk service available 24×7. Free carparking & drivers accommodation in dormitory available. All AC & non AC rooms are seafacing with balcony. But there needs much improvement in taste of the food it serves now. It was far better in my last visit. Good news that a swimming pool is coming up, construction of which is now going in full swing. An ideal place for family holidays. But there is no lift in the property.

They will not provide any service! You have to buy water, the filter is bad! If you buy water, 23: 50 per liter. The smell of damp in the room! The quality of the food is very low! Eating biryani will definitely make you vomit. AC is making loud noise.

It is a fine place to rest for a few days within ñature. To enjoy the sea from bedroom & balcony.

Extremely unprofessional behaviour. We had reached out to them for booking rooms and they talked with us over the call but as soon as I asked them to share the details and pictures of the rooms and views on WhatsApp they suddenly disappeared! I don't know what happened out of the blue for such unprofessional behaviour. We called them many times after that but they kept delaying. Other hotels are far better we are never contacting these people again. Please learn about responsibility and professionalism next time.

Located at the very entrance of Old Digha, this hotel is one of the oldest properties here. Rooms on the ground floor are considerably cheaper than on the first floor, due to the sea view which is better from the first floor. Rooms are okayish, but much better maintenance is needed. Overall, could be better for the price point they are charging.

Location is very nice. Room was clean. But ac service was a littlebit problematic. Overall a good place. Restaurant was so so.

One of the Best properties in Old Digha in Terms of Courteous and professional staff right from the Security to the Front office staff to the housekeeping staff to the excellentttttttttttt cook. Each and every thing in this hotel is absolutely fantastic. Everyone makes you feel so special so cared. All the Staffs behaviour towards all the guests was so pleasing. I don’t need to mention it’s distance from the well maintained sea beach just across the street. We stayed just for one night 7.6.23 in Room 221 (first floor) and we could see the magnificent Sea sitting on our bed. The rooms on the ground floor was also very beautiful coz it opened up in the garden where you could sit and enjoy your Tea /coffee. We were given Complimentary breakfast with good choice of food and absolutely delicious. We had ordered our Lunch and dinner from Saikatabas Restaurant and it was absolutely absolutely perfect in taste and look. The staff always welcome you with a smile. Special mention to 2 people I met in the front office Mr Swapan Das and Ms Deepti Sarkar. I highly recommend this place to everyone whenever you are in Old Digha. One of the best hotels in old digha. Nice ambience. Rooms are very neat & clean. Washroom is so clean & organised. Staffs are very professional & helpful. There are many sea facing rooms available. Parking facility is also available here. Foods are good & tasty but i think price is too high.

Poor maintenance of the hotel. ACs not working thus had to shift rooms in the night. Terrible experience. No value for money. Staffs were cooperative with their limited abilities.
Proper and regular maintenance are required to make it as good as its location

Food is what it is lacking, lunch and dinner served required more quality. Complementary breakfast was good. Suite room on the ground floor is less sea viewing while first floor suite room is better. Renovation done from previous saikatabas.

I stayed in room 205 and 206 frpm 12.05.23 to 14.05.23. The rooms are good, view is awesome. The behaviour of all the staffs are commendable and very polite. But the biggest problem is food. On 12th, we ordered pomfret fry and aloo potol sabji. Pomfret was old and aloo potol was stale and smell was coming. Although on complaining, the hotel reversed the charges of aloo potol, but it is never expected from this type of hotel. After taking the food, we all had digestion issues and we feel the cooking medium is not good. The complimentary breakfast also had very limited options. They were giving only boiled eggs and not even omlette or poached egg. We request the hotel to please look into the food issue.

Went here and stayed several times whn this was under Govt of West Bengal.the location is best in digha (after Sea Hawk) but after this has gone to private players the tariff has increased immensely and currently it does not do justice to the tariff

A very bad experience in staying in Saikatabas hotel. Bad behaviour of the hotel stuff. Ac was not working properly when ever we complain about it to the manager they didn't co-operate with us. Even does not have wifi and complementary water at room. Please don't waste your money in this hotel.

The best part is the location of the hotel. Saikat Abas along with Sea Hawk are the only two hotels with best location in and around Digha.
Rooms should have been maintained well. There’s a lack in maintenance. The food is good. And like I said if location is the utmost priority, go for it. But yes prior booking is mandatory (at least one month prior to the date of journey) as this hotel is always in high demand due to location.

Staff is very friendly and polite, reason for 3star is condition of the bathroom, it's in a very bad shape, Water taps should be replaced asap.

Well situated place. Room service can be improved. In house restaurant food quality is good but quantity should be increased considering the price of food items.

Visited the property recently, few points to keep your mind when you make a booking there as i share my experience here-
1> they do have their parking space but they packed up the parking space with other cars such that my car was unusable for the first half of the day.
2> someone tried to break in the car or do some experiment as my car towing port was open whn i was preparing my departure.so park at ur own risk. This is not at all acceptable and an irresponsible behaviour from the staff
3> bedsheets looked clean but had wood dust due to termites, and the room was infested with mosquitoes
4> food was moderate but most of the platter was unavailable
5> In general its highly overpriced just because of the location and certainly the room does not justify the service or its amenities. Far better hotels are available in this 4k price range

One of the good hotels facing the Old Digha sea beach. The view from the hotel to the sea was mesmerizing. Good place to stay with family and friends. The rooms were good and the washroom was clean, but the tariff was too high. Overall a good stay. The sea is just 50m away from the hotel. It has a parking facility for cars. Do not know about the food quality in their restaurant as we did not avail their restaurant facilities.
