I've had the pleasure of witnessing thrilling matches at Edan Garden, and each visit leaves me with a sense of excitement and appreciation for this cricketing haven. It's a testament to the love of the game and a must-visit for any cricket lover.

Track is considered as one of the better batting surfaces although spinners tend to come into action as the match wears on. Spinners have enjoyed bowling here in IPL games as well. Eden Gardens has hosted as many as 39 Tests - the most by any venue in India.

History: The stadium was established in 1864. It takes its name from the Eden Gardens, one of the oldest parks in Kolkata, adjacent to the stadium, designed in 1841 and named after the Eden sisters of Lord Auckland, the then Governor-General of India. Initially it was named 'Auckland Circus Gardens' but later changed to 'Eden Gardens' by its makers inspired by the Garden of Eden in the Bible. According to popular culture, Babu Rajchandra Das, the then zamindar (landlord) of Kolkata, had gifted one of his biggest gardens besides the river Hooghly, to Viceroy Lord Auckland Eden and his sister Emily Eden after they helped him by saving his 3rd daughter from a fatal disease. From then onwards the garden's name was changed from Mar Bagan to Eden Gardens. The cricket grounds were built between Babughat and Fort William. The stadium is in the B. B. D. Bagh area of the city, near the State Secretariat and opposite to the Calcutta High Court.

The first recorded Test at the venue was held in 1934 between England and India, its first One Day International in 1987 between India and Pakistan and its first T20 international in 2011 between India and England.

It's one of the largest stadium in the world. It's a feather in the hat for Kolkata. It's located in the prime location of Kolkata.

One of the largest Cricket stadium in India in terms of wideness and seating capacity too. It is in the City of Joy, Kolkata West Bengal and the house of great Cricketer like Saurav Ganguly, Laxmi Ratan Sukla etc.

A international cricket stadium ️. It's so big and well decorated. Such a nice stadium is rare in India. It's very old also. Test, one day international, IPL, World Cup cricket tournament all happen here. It's very nice and enjoyable playground. ️

What can I say about it. It is Mecca of Cricket. A gem of Kolkata.home of KKR. I always love to go there to catch Live matches. For some reasons I also get a chance to enter into away team's dressing room.it was awesome. Unfortunately this year no matches of KKR happened due to Covid 19 Pandemic.

One of the oldest cricket grounds in India, the atmosphere during the match is electric. When 66k spectators shout together for their team, it becomes a spectacle to be a part of. The condition of the ground, the outfield, the drainage facilities, the hospitality everything has become top notch in last few years with the involvement of Sourav Ganguly to CAB and now in the hands of Abhishek Dalmia.

It was a wonderful experience for me get an entry to the prestigious cricket stadium where legends played and won hearts.

I visited on a holiday and there was no entry for public. Its one of the BCA board member who helped me to get inside and he also took my photographs.
