A good hotel with Excellent location but very average rooms. The size of the room is small & bathrooms are also small in size. Rooftop restaurant is good.
The staff is decent and we'll mannered

Bit small for occasion, but offers a great view of river Ganges and by far the most wonderfully artwork I have seen.

The location is speechless. The howrah bridge comes within the view and the floatal is situated on the ganges. The ambience is beautiful for evening and nights. Best place for date night. The food is mediocre, people mostly visit this place because of the environment and ambience. Best for couples.

We only went to the restaurant, so I don't know about the rooms.

The ship has gone for a complete overhaul and will be ready from September 2023. There will be more than 50 rooms.

This time our restaurant was in a barge. We were ushered in the AC dining room. The food was good but not every item on the menu was available. Drinks were also restricted to mocktails and soft drinks.

Good interiors and ambience, servicing is good but food quality is not so good as my expectence.

Really happy with banquet team and kitchen team. Specially Jagannath at banquet. In restaurant i would like to mention name of Abhishek Ananta and Arun

We went there for dinner, our family comprised of 11heads. The food was good, the service was excellent, the scenary was exemplary.
They even served us, out of the menu card, and overall, it was a good experience.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel and it's front desk manager Md. Ibrahim and few other staffs. They have done an amazing job from top to bottom. No detail has been overlooked. It is a testament to the fact that you can have a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location and still set yourself miles apart with an amazing staff and wonderful service. Form the moment we arrived, we were made to feel special. Everyone had a smile on their face and did everything they could to make us feel welcome. It felt like a small family.the Fresh Air on Ganges was so mind blowing could not get better anywhere else The rooms are comfortable and incredibly well designed.

As I said, I cannot say enough and could go on forever. I am happy to go into much greater detail. But the bottom line - I recommend this hotel without reservation.to anyone.go as much as you possibly can.

It was a great stay. I have come with my family and it was great. Special mention to manab for his excellent service throughout our stay.

They deserve no Star instead of 4 Star hotel category.
Room was not cleaned/sanitized at all and maintained very roughly.
AC was not working properly and there was no ceiling/wall fan in room.
Washroom was also untidy. Due to main water supply pipe damage (as they said), there was absolutely no availability of water in bathroom for more than five hours. After several time requests, they supplied us just a bucket of water.
They gave us expired coffee pouches on tea table.
Food was so much pathetic, just inedible, served in a cheap plastic tray as thali. They supplied bad quality local company drinking water.
Electric wire unsafely opened into wardrobe.
Overall the stay was too much pathetic. I have attached some pictures as per my review.

We came to visit at Floatel for conference, but without giving feedback I can't stop myself. Really amazing atmosphere at Restaurants. Awesome behavior Mr Abhishek, Ananta and Arun.

I just want to bring this to everyone's notice that after booking a sunset room from booking.com and while following up the same with the hotel plus a few queries, I had a terrible experience. The staff was extremely indifferent and didn't even reply to queries properly. Looks like he was irritated. There's absolute lack of empathy which is not acceptable during covid times. It is weird staff behavior that compelled us to cancel the booking.

It is totally a different and very good experience to be with floatel. Very Good service and food. We were there as a group for our meeting for two days. The staff were very cooperative. It is a small ship anchored and being used as a hotel. Ideally located. The rates are also reasonable.

This is an Amazingly Awesome place to spend some quality time with the loved ones! Special Thanks to- Mr Ibrahim (front office associate) & Mr. Sumit Koley (Housekeeping) for such an amazing hospitality.it was worth celebrating our special day in this special place filled with so much dedicated employees. I have been in Floatel for 15 days back and truly it was a great experience at this property Rooms are very clean and same as per the image given in web. Mocktail was delicious and Special Thanks to Chandradip and Arun. Hotel staff for giving such a nice and welcoming experience. Wish to visit again.

This is totally pathetic service I get by your side this time. Food quality is pathetic and too much high rate deserving the quality. In the two days TV is not working after informing several time no solution from your end. Also there is no minibar as mentioned during booking. For every service I have to knock several times. Telephone is almost not working condition. Honestly this is the last time with floatel and also I recommended everyone for to not stay here. I am giving you only 1 star rating.

We enjoyed our stay. Room is very good & clean. Housekeeping supervisor Manab is excellent in Housekeeping. I highly recommend every one to visit. I will definitely come again. Thanks to Mr. Sankar Das Housekeeping Manager for everything.

The service is okay, people who work there are pretty professional. But the prices will knock your socks off. For a plate of fish fingers which isn't mentioned in the menu is 500/- because it has 8 pieces. The WiFi network, will make you miss it. And the Room could have been cleaner.the sheet, the room was disposition and it kills your enthusiasm. The towel had turned yellow from white and with brown patches I regret checking in. I honestly do. I would not recommend the hotel but if You wanna get a room that floats in the river with a WiFi network that comes and goes along with the overpriced food and alcohol. Then sure, why not.: B

Good ambience, good place for official meetings and personal outing.

Good here is expensive much higher than the quantity and quality offered. In December 2018, the price of one plate starter, two chili chicken, three chicken fried rice and three water bottles costs Rs 4500/- which is anyway can't be justified.

Very wonderful place for buffet dinners and the Beauty is also great. The fresh air from the peaceful ganga makes the mind calm and feels energetic.

Unsafe and not suitable for customers with family

Entrance - absolutely not suitable for elderly person and persons with restricted moving ability. Despite of previous request no wheel chair was available, and entrance is not compatible with such entrance.

Reception - they made us wait 90 minutes before they could allocate us two sunset rooms
They give us some other customer's Aadhar card xerox and asked to sign that.while checking out they made us wait 15 minutes and forgot to adjust my advance payment amount with final bill.

Rooms- small, stinking beds. Toilet is very poor. Commode leaks and stinking water fills the entire toilet.

Rooms are very uncomfortable as noise from adjacent room make us very uncomfortable even at night.

Restaurant- utterly incompetent and unprofessional staff.had to wait very long time after ordering. They even could not make coffee and after 30 minutes wait they informed that there is no milk to make coffee. They dont know how to make mocktail and hence they server utterly nonsense and sub standard mocktail.

Food is substandard and yet extremely overpriced.

They restaurant is open to outsiders for having food and hence it is very unsafe for the resident customers.we felt very unsafe and uncomfortable there due to this. People with shabby appearance crowd the restaurant rendering families feel unsafe.

It is a cheap worst place yet extremely overpriced. Dont visit there with family. May be good for a bachelor party or a office conference.

This the only floating accommodation on the river in Kolkata. It is located on a peer anchored near Babughat and has a wonderful view of the river and both Kolkata and Howrah skylines. It has a bar on the lowest deck and a restaurant on the upper deck that offers an wide array of food items. The staff are courteous and polite. However the prices are exorbitant and the quality of the food average.

Food was ok, nice view.three categories rooms are available- Sunrise, sunset and suits. Charges are a bit higher than the quality and facility they provides. Nice for one day outing only

India's only floating hotel, Floatel is on the river ganga in kolkata opposite State Bank of India Head Office in Strand Raod. The experience was really fine and the location is very pleasant. The decoration and the food quality was great. As I have attended a wedding reception I can't tell about the rooms and service but overall my review for Floatel is good.

It's good for viewing the river and river front. But the rooms need to be more sophisticated and grand in view of the tariff.

Tried the buffet during Durga puja. Cost is 1299/- which is very high compared to other restaurants like Barbecue Nation. Menu is not good at all. In starters they served fish finger and mutton kebab which is much less than the starters served in other restaurants. Fish fry was cold and soggy, kebab was hard as anything. Prawns were there in two main courses which shows the lack of variety compared to the price. In this price ilish, bhetki or pabda fish should have been served.
There were a lot of flaws and it seems like they are charging only for the ambience.

I was at the rooftop restaurant "The Bridge" for dinner. The location and the view is impeccable. The hotel staff are extremely courteous. If you are traveling here with someone elderly, note that getting into and out of the "ship" through the gangway might prove a bit challenging. At the restaurant, the Buffet spread was decent. I found the drinks overpriced even for a hotel of this standard.

Never stayed so no comments on the space and all, but eaten a couple of times to tell you that its quite an experience. The food is not extraordinary, but the sway of a floating place, with the fresh breeze of the river and far from maddening crowd makes it worth. Visit only once just to experience the same and then you can become a regular like me!

The experience is okayish. The ambiance that they offer can be improved quiet a lot, taking into consideration that the hotel is on the river ganga. I was not satisfied with the menu options that were offered, in buffet, in comparison to the per head cost of each.

Location and ambiance is good. If you are planning to stay it is better to take a river side view. House keeping staff have a bad attitude. When I asked for a dental kit, the staff said the dental kits are out of stock. Then I had to ring up the reception who are able to assist on the same.

Nice ambience. Perfectly located with good views of Ganga & Howrah Bridge. To have dinner on deck is an amazing experience. But issue is with the food quality and it's taste. It's a big letdown and for that only despite having other positives, I m giving it's 3 star.
