We ate here twice while in Darjeeling. The food was good, the service speed was reasonable and prices OK.

I had a recent visit to this cafe, and my experience was a mixed bag. The exterior and ambiance were quite promising, which initially got my hopes up. However, I was dismayed by the owner's behavior. He continuously berated the employees loudly in front of all customers, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. I even witnessed a concerning altercation. To make matters worse, the large paneer pizza we ordered turned out to be disappointingly small in size, and the quality of the pizza left much to be desired.

We got severe food poisoning here. I’m a resident of Darjeeling itself, however I’d strongly recommend people to NOT GO there. The food was inedible. The beverage was below average. Service is at a sloth’s pace. We fell sick as soon as we reached our home. NOT RECOMMENDED

I started off with black tea, which was nice. Then we had ordered Dosa and Chhole Bhature, both below average. Also they take ages to serve the order.
You can visit this place if you're preferring veg food only, otherwise there are many joints nearby that serves better breakfast.

First of all let me tell you about a very odd thing. When people enter this place, the staff, quite arrogantly say that this is a self-service place. So no one will bring food to your table. Okay. Very fine. I went to bring my own coffee from the counter when it was ready. There was another Indian family who was treated the same way. After a while, a young lady, clearly from some western country came and ordered something. To my surprise, the otherwise rude staff members delivered her orders to her table. Racism? I ordered another cup of tea to start an argument. But this time, one staff member came into the café and he was, on the contrary, a smiling fellow and he delivered food to everyone. From some other reviews, I can see that that person was the only appraisable staff member of the café.

Anyways, coming back to the real points. Food quality is poor. Terrible rather. Most of the items printed on the menu card are not available. And keeping the quality of the service and the food in mind, I would definitely advise you to stay away from this café.

We tried paper masala dosa (5/5), idli (4/5) and aloo parantha (4/5).

South Indian platter ordered. All old stuff pre heated. Bad smell too. Chutney ok but sambar tastes added hot water. Told the manager about the quality and asked him not to serve old food

The restaurant was about to close for the day and yet they accommodated us, which was really kind. We ordered a dosa, pav bhaji and hot dog. Sadly there were limited options available when we were dining in. Dosa was nice. Pav bhaji was ok-ish and so was hot dog. The food was pretty mediocre but the restaurant is pure vegetarian unlike the rest in the vicinity, so I’ll give them an extra star for that.

Average hotel, living on it's past prowess. Food is better, bit service and hotel upkeep is not that great.

Worlds worst resturant with worst staffs. The person present in the cash is too rude thinks him self as if he is big shot. *loody son of a cheap *rostitute. Totally worst place bcos of the staffs behaviour. They dont worry about customers. They be on their mobile.food serves after 1 hour of order and if you eat tht food for 5 days you will defenitely die of diseases. The cashier present there is son of a cheap *rostitute

Dosa was not good. Too much price for worst taste food. Self service and also delay to deliver food. Need to pay at the time of order and no cancellation policy available. Seating arrangements are ok ok only.

Never ever do the mistake of going here, these guys are serving the food that are unfit for consumption. The South Indian food here is a serious disaster and nightmare as well. Sincere request to all those reading this review, " please don't care to go and risk your lives".

Honestly never been to this state nor this particular place, but I was specifically asked to make the efforts to visit this review section and rate it poorly which speaks of the amount of anxiety this person has gone through here, and looking at other reviews spanning years, seems like this place is kinda something that one would go to torture oneself. Mental note to self if I ever visit this place I will avoid this street all together. ️ Peace ️.

Worst place to have South Indian food, never ever date to have Any South Indian food here. Had to suffer from food poisoning after having idli here. Seriously all the other reviews too are saying the same. Man there is some serious issue in this shop food.

This is the one among worst restaurants in Darjeeling, had been there and looking at the idli option on the menu, thought of having the same. Review about the food is as follows, they took around 30 minutes to serve just a plate of idli and that was not baked properly in fact the idli was the spoilt ones, moreover the chatni and Sambsr were nightmare too.
I had it yesterday and today i am having trouble with my stomach that is food poisoning for which i am damn sure this cafe food is the main reason.
Don't go to this cafe if you care your health and never ever try South Indian food here. It's a nightmare having food here.

Don't Ever think of Eating in this Restaurant.
Other Reviews speaks for itself, a third class service restaurant with degraded food quality. Only thing good is that it's a Heritage Restaurant with Stale food.

Staff behaviour is totally unacceptable. They just want to enjoy their time together with staff. It looked like they were not here for any hospitality or dine in service, just doing time pass. Nd food was the worst

Staff is quite rude. They made a scene because I didn't want to give my card, but tap myself.
Dosa is the worst I ever had. The place is too small and crowded. Recommend to abstain from going here.

Since other places were full, i picked this place as it said they serve south indian veg food.

I had only masala dosa which was okayish. Priced at 116. That's not the issue though.

The real issue was the attitude of the guy on the cash counter. His name is Firoj perhaps as mentioned in the cash bill.

When i was checking out the menu card to see some more options i could order this cashier guy lashed out at me and angrily said " jo v chaiye jaldi payment karo na"

I was stunned at his behaviour. Even other few people who were there looked around.

He even had the guts to again say me rudely when i sat on a chair, he said table change Matt kijiyega.

As i was damn hungry and just reached Darjeeling i didn't really say anything.

I was thinking of ordering a water bottle, but i was afraid they will lash out angrily at me. So, i refrain from ordering water.

But with this kind of attitude you will put yourself in trouble someday from some customer or the other.

Extremely delayed service even though only we 5 (my group members) were there at that time. Took almost 30mins to give us 1 pair of veg sandwiches (with all raw materials, it was just about assembling the ingredients, no cooking was needed), packed juice (the only tasty thing you will get here) and a cup of milk tea (60%water). More 15-20mins for 2 alu parathas with pickle. Everything was salty, staffs were reluctant. Place was shabby with unclean chair cushions. Not recommended at all.

This cafe is absolutely horrible. There are 5 employees but yhe service is horribly slow. They took a long long time to serve a simple cheeze burger. Employees dont seem professional or even remotely interested in serving the customers. On top of that, the cheeze burger was wrapped in a tissue paper and then put into microwave which made the entire paper stick to the burger! They served us paper stuck bun! Also, they have no clue about handling microwaves because the burger turned chewy and sticky by the time we ate it. Also, it is extremely overpriced. Please fire some lazy uninterested employees and up your service.

The cafe is good with the view of Darjeeling mountains, you'll get many dishes and beverage at reasonable price.
Had ordered Darjeeling masala tea which was awesome

Pizza here is a disaster. Raw toppings, cheese coming off in layers with toppings.

Most of the items are also unavailable.

They served us Bourn Vita and saying this hot chocolate. Even I have tried dosa also, which experience is horrible.

Poor service. Too much expensive. Lutere hai. Not even tissue paper. They don't provide little bit for subji. Asked us to purchase another cup of chola
