Very bad experience! We ordered a fish item which costs Rs. 800/-, bt there were only 2 medium size fishes tossed with sause only. Not so good in taste as well! And they hav charged additional 10% service charge with 5% GST which seema very ridiculous to us! Not at all recommendable! Wastage of money!

Once upon a time, this was an amazing japanese restaurant with great sushi! Now it's rather pathetic, from the not so fresh salmon to the not so zingy wasabi to the not so tasty cheese. Its always been expensive but this time it was just pure dissapointing. Never going back

This place is tiny, the pictures are misleading. The ramen was worst. One star is too much to give away for this place. The ramen costs Rs 750 exclusive of taxes and they don't even give a half of an egg. They give a thin slice of egg. The ramen soup is limp and watery. Overall waste of money. The waiters kept on staring through out the course of the meal which made be very uncomfortable.

One of the finest Japanese food places in Kolkata. The sushi platters, ramen and domains are heavenly. So is the matcha green tea ice cream in fact!

Ambience is really beautiful, Foods are delicious.sushi and yakitori is a must try.

Behavior of the staff's are really good, they will guide you if you are confused to choose from the menus.

Just the types of songs they are playing are really bad, and doesn't match with their Japanese ambience.they should work on their playlist

Placed an order through Swiggy. They didn't mention number of pieces of sushi per plate. Considering normal standard of serving I placed one plate and received only two pieces of the item. It was a nasty surprise for me. Moreover I found it really meaningless to spend Rs. 210.00 to get just two small pieces of sushi. I will never buy from them.

Sashimi (Salmon) Sushi (Paneer) was really Good. But dissapointed with the Chicken Ramen Noodles. It tasted tasteless.and the seaweed not at all appetising. It was not at all upto the standard of Rs 549. The bowl of dissapointment.

A good Japanese restaurant for enjoying Japanese Platte having a good ambiance and some Japanese songs as background music. Varied dishes like sushi, soba, ramen, sushi both roll and normal sushi, cocktail and mocktails, refreshing drinks, wisky and few ice creams and tea. From my experience they can't charge service tax as it has been removed from many shops. Few words on food I think Japanese Platte doesn't suit Indian tongues food textures, quality and ingredients were good but for some reason they didn't suite our taste so from my point of view think twice before going as foods are very expensive for the quantity also sushi's are very small than what generally our expectations are. Thus 4 stars.

A small restaurant on the 3rd floor of a corner property. The lift is a soft lander. You have to experience it to understand what I mean. The japanese style seating arrangement at the corner seats is an innovation. The staffs are eager to help and hospitality is at the top notch. However, a 10% service charge on invoicing is a deterrent and should not be charged at all when the price of each food is quite costly. The interior decor and food quality are good. A recommended place to try japanese food and also Chinese & Thai cuisine. The menu card would need more information of the the food and more photos since the food is unknown to many like me. In a nutshell, have a try at Fuji

The food is good but a bit pricey. The worst is they will not serve regular water to force you to buy mineral water bottle at more than mrp. Another shock: They will avoid giving you glasses for drinking water unless you raise your voice.

This is one of the best Japanese restaurants in town with such an extensive menu that I doubt any other restaurant would have in Kolkata. Needless to say, their sushi is quite good with their nigiri, sashimi and maki sushi all perfectly balanced and each having their own specific styles and tastes. However, if you are dining here make sure that you order the Teriyaki chicken which is easily the best dish on the menu and perhaps the best Teriyaki you can get anywhere in Kolkata. Ask for it to be done in the traditionally crisp style when you are ordering. One point of note - this restaurant is NOT cheap. You will end up paying well upwards of Rs 1500 per head if you order sushi and prawn dishes. It is well worth a visit, however, if you love nice Japanese food.

Nice place. Atmosphere is good. Had shake maki and spicy tuna roll. Both good with little wasabi. Soya sauce not good. Would like to try different items. Price is bit higher.

Had the privilege of having the worst food & service today. Food is worse than road side dhaba. They don't even understand the instructions/ choice & make them the way they want.its upto the customer to eat it or leave it. Sorry.will never dare to step in again.

This is one gem of a place for Kolkata.
The food is authentic Japanese. The best in Kolkata as far as I know.
I always takeaway sushi roll and sashimi from here.

One of the best places I have been to. Food was really good. We both ordered Ramen and for the price we paid, the amount of food they served us was great.

Nice experience of Japanese cuisine with a family friendly environment. It was a nice experience to go there bus yes one need to have a taste for Japanese food to go their.

This is a place that serves authentic Japanese cuisine. Right from the decor of the place to the plating of the food, everything seems to inspired by Japanese culture. The menu is diverse and there's also a good deal of drinks to choose from. Although, they have only one variant of sake. Easily the best Japanese food in town. Can be visited with friends or family. They even have a dojo-like separate space for parties. It's a little pricey but the food is worth it.

I had been wanting to visit this place for quite some time now and was really glad that i finally made the trip.
The place is bit on the inside but is easily accessible from Deshopriya park.
I ordered
1) Long Island Ice tea: It had the perfect amount of kick needed to enjoy the meal. In many places i have visited i have seen that they add too much cola which dilutes the flavour quite a bit
2) Chennai Maki: Perfectly seasoned with the right amount of heat to prepare your palate for the next dish. Would recommend to atleast try once
3) Chicken Miso Ramen: The main reason i went to this place. The broth was lightly seasoned and the noodles were a lit al dente for my taste but they provide hot sauce if you want spice it up. They provide a generous amount of shredded chicken but would have liked if it was sliced. The noodles could have been a little thicker so that they could hold the soup much better
4) Yakitori Moriawase: My favorite dish in the whoke meal. The sauce was really the highlight and made the dish come together. Really a nice companion for beer
5) Green Eyed Monster: A green apple flavored mocktail to cut down your drunkiness if you are driving later on
6) Green Tea Ice cream: My second favorite dish of the meal. Lip smacking tasty. Was missing the green tea flavour though but nonetheless tasty
The staff were very friendly and courteous and will make your evening worthwhile.

Authentic Japanese Restaurant, with excellent sections & varieties to satiate your taste buds.
I have had meals from Fuji Restaurant (when its name was Aoi) multiple time over many years.
Both who are trying Japanese food for 1st time & who are accustomed to it will like this place.
For special occasions (or while going with big team) prior booking is better to follow.
For 1st timers/people not willing to directly plunge into the vivid (hardc*re) raw items MUST TRY (All time favourite items)
For veg-Take assorted ones to get taste of all kinds. For Non veg-Take Ebi or Tori (chicken)

1. Main/Side- SUSHI-Try any kind of MAKI sushi (Veg or non veg) viz. Delhi/Goa/Mumbai/Kolkata maki (All cooked item, wrapped in rice and dried kelp)
2. Side-TEMPURA-Assorted or veg or non veg decide which clicks best for you all are fabulous. (Non veg- Ebi, Veg-assorted)
3. Main-RAMEN/SOBA/UDON- all three noodles and Yakisoba are good (I love Veg/nonveg Ramen best). Select the ones which are served hot (Don't take cold Soumen noodles)
4. Side-KARAAGE-Veg or non veg all the superb. Take any "–Katsu" meaning cutlet (I love agedashi tofu & tonkatsu best, not oily at all) (you can order katsu curry+rice separately for your Main Course)
5. Side-YAKI (Grilled) -Opt for veg or non veg accordingly. All are faboulous.
6. Finish off with a Matcha Ice cream (or any other dessert)
OR. Tip your soul off with some fine Japanese Sake (Watch out for strong ones or be ready with some turmeric)

P. S. Order assorted seafood item for first timers ONLY if you are ready for their strong natural flavours. (the list above doesn't contain raw items)
The FUJI Restaurant comes with well described menu & the hospitality is wonderful (So absolutely no issues with selecting, staff will guide you with every step).

Don't forget to try the Miso Pork Ramen, salmon sushi, eel sushi, sashimi, Japanese omelette, and most importantly sake. They serve these the best. A favorite fine dine place.

Bad service. Had Zomato gold but was denied the gold option on beer. The staff told us that they ran out of beer stocks whereas two other tables were served beer bottles in front of us. Food was okay. Shabby ambience. Rude staff. Dishonest. Would never recommend this bar cum restaurant.
