GANGA BHAWAN, DIAMOND HARBOUR

Nice site because it is situated at bank of river but the room is not well enough. No AC only old cooler considering for AC room.

Room rent is affordable, but the property was not properly maintained. There is a lot of scope to develop this prime property, and before ordering food, please verify the price list because they overcharged for it.

The lodge is situated in front of Diamond Harbour jetty, and gives someone the best view of the Hooghly river. Though the lodge needs proper maintenance,

The worst hotel i ever went to. Though the picture of the hotel may look grand but from inside it is actually worse. The rooms are in a state of total despair, there is a television in one corner of the room but it has no connection. The rooms are damp and the bedsheet looks very old and torn and dirty. The staffs are not at all polite and their behaviour is not at all nice.

So as per as my suggestion dont stay in this hotel. There are other hotels like Sagarika far better than this.

Homestay beside Diamond Harbour Riverside of Benfish, Fisheries Dept. Of West Bengal department.

The exterior is ok. But the interrior is very badly maintained and shabby. Rooms were very dirty. When we complained, they said, "as if is on the road so it will be dirty. " Didn't expect such useless logic. Overall if they maintain it a bit cleanly, it might prove to be on of the best.

It's situated at a perfect location. You can see Maa Ganga from this place clearly. Naturally beautiful place.

Descent hotel for a day spend, non ac rooms are not good damp smell and shabby, but the standard ac room is ok type, staffs are good, manager Mr. Goutam Roy is very descent and humble person, other staffs like canteen ppl are also helpful.

Conveniently located on the banks of the Hoogly. You get to have a river view if you have booked one of the more expensive rooms upstairs, if not, you will encounter the noise of the traffic right by your window.
The maintenance of the property is sub standard. The rooms look like they haven't been cleaned in years!
The staff refuse to provide you access to their wifi and the signal for both Jio and Airtel within the rooms is very poor.
On the plus side, there is ample space for car and bike parking and the restaurant provides you delicious cooked food at very reasonable prices.

It is benfishiers owned property just on the banks of Ganga. You can easily reach by a auto/E-ricksaw/bus from Diamond harbour station crossing.
Rooms- AC & NON-AC. Non ac rooms in ground floor and ac in first floor.
Price- 660/- for front non ac and 1100/- for ac. 550/- for backside non ac. GST will be added extra during online or cash payment.

Or you can simply reach and check for availability. But during weekends & holidays it may be difficult to find ac rooms.
Lunch- Canteen is available.

Visit review-
1. Room- Non ac rooms are very average or below average. AC rooms are moderate. Non ac rooms need modification and maintenance. But bathrrom you will find usually clean there. Non ac room in ground floor don't have much view but AC room in first floor have pleasant view of Ganga river.
2. Lunch- you will get the most meals type food there of variety of fish items along with chicken and mutton.
I preferred Pomfret fish (large) and Vetki fish (large). All the meal items were just awesome and full of bengali taste. Must go for fish item. They are fresh and delicious.
3. Staffs- Staffs are good and well mannered.

It was a average stay with happiness in stomach what actually I can say.

This lodge is located at Diamond Harbor. Views from the hotel room & in front of the road is good. You never seen "Ganga" like before. Rooms are clean. Food was good.

Veey much dirty and unhygienic place.
Rooms are Damp, Linens are so so.
Otherwise Good to stay at throwaway Cost.
Attached restaurant is providing distasteful food.

Location is superb, beside the river bank.but hygiene and condition of room from inside not up to the standard.need more improvements.

Moderate place to stay in Diamond Harbour - Car Parking is free inside the Campus - they have a separate canteen, Indian and Chineese cuisine available at reasonable price. The fish was good in terms of size and quality. Cordial and helpful.

Now it is good stay home for middle class people. Value for money.
Behavior of caretaker is good.
But canteen is highly costly, food is below quality. Very very bad canteen.
