Ganguram Sweets [Beadon Street]

Ganguram on Beadon Street sells a wide variety of sweets and snacks including canned sweets like rosogolla. Even though it is situated on Beadon Street this Ganguram has a large number of loyal customers. One special thing about this shop is that it sells a number of vegetarian bakery items such as muffins, pastries, sandwiches and patties along with indian favourites such as samosas, dhokla, namkeens etc. Must have items in this Ganguram are baked rosogolla, baked dahi and baked mihidana with the baked dahi winning the race. Priced at Rs 30/= for a 100gms earthen pot it is really very reasonably priced. If you happen to be around Manicktolla Bazaar I would recommend you to visit this shop on Beadon Street near the rear entrance of Manicktolla Bazaar and try out a few sweets I have mentioned.

Good for non bengali style sweets. U can get some bengali sweets also but the taste is a bit different from traditional Bengali taste. U Can try here.

It's a very old shop and there are many kind of sweets available however I specifically mention the special laddu. It's a good pick

Very exotically decorated showroom. The staff is also very polite and helpful. However my wife didn't like the ornament designs looks bit dated.

Pls ask your staff at least to use hand gloves and if not possible use Tongs when packing sweets. Ask your staffs to atleast wear clean attire. All the best to you and thanks a lot atleast you took out time to go through my review

I never find this shop empty making it a bit difficult to buy as, the counter for making the payment is absolutely separated from the food counter. The process is tedious because, first you order, then they give you a token of the money to be deposited, finally you arrive at the payment counter, give the bill and return to take the parcel. However the Sweets are mouth-watering and fresh. No doubt it is One of the best sweet shop in North kolkata.

The atmosphere is friendly but is a bit of time consuming and the quality of food is good and has economical prices.

Sweets has bad smell and and sometimes you’ll get hair on sweets and when you ask for the change this
They’ll say “DEKH KAR LENA THA NA”

The quality and variety at Vivekananda Road sweet shop
Is very detorieated for last few months. I am a regular customer but now I try to avoid this shop.

An traditional sweet shop of North Kolkata, they are the best known for sweets like misti-doi and chhanar misti. Omritti is my favorite among them.
